Melinda still looked skeptical but didn't say anything else.

What she didn't know was that Su Ping mind was filled with all sorts of thoughts. The possibility of her being pregnant, made him begin to wonder if his current approach of conquering this kingdom was really the best one.

' It's far more easier to slowly take over from within but because of I'm now in direct contact with them, I'm starting to get pulled into the political conflict within this city and soon I might even have to face the inner conflict within the entire kingdom itself.' Su Ping gritted his teeth, his heart brimming with worry.

' I've already begun to attract enemies from all around... This is already putting Mel Mel and the kids at risk. I don't know when anyone will attack me nor who will be the first, which puts me at a disadvantage. If I continue to go about things like this, The number of enemies I have will grow and Mel Mel will be in constant danger.' Su Pings eyes glanced at his wife's abdomen, his brows furrowing slightly, his eye lids trembling.

With this new train of thought constantly within his mind, his body was always on guard. He didn't have the time to fake a nice facade at the moment, all he could think about was that he needed to do something to make sure Melinda and the kids would be safe.

They soon reached a room at the end of the corridor which they entered. There standing beside a bed was a black haired man with a neat appearance.

" Oh, you must be new customers. Well, which one of you needs treatment..." The doctor stopped talking when he saw the two death knights walk into the room. He blinked before glancing at Su Ping.

" I'm sorry Sir, but I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to take your friends outside. This is a health care facility and we do not condone the presence of harmful creature's here."

" Are you able to check if one has conceived a child or not?"

" Of course Sir but."

" That's all I needed to know." Su Ping caught him off. The Death Knights turned around and exited the room as if they had received a mental command.

The nurse at the reception counter stiffened when she saw the walking out of the corridor.

' Looks like the doctor managed to get them out of here. That necromancer sure was scary... I was wondering whether he was going to tear down the place if we tried to get him to make those things leave.' she sighed with relief when she saw the death knights step outside, before standing on both sides of the door. From the outside, they looked like two door men or to some, two bouncer's.

" There, I've taken care of them. Now could you please have a look at my wife." Su Ping said, turning back to glance at the doctor.

" Sir, if I may ask–" Su Ping flicked a golden coin into the man's hands before he could finish.

" Hahaha, Sir really is quick witted." The doctor chuckled when Su Ping beat him to the chase. " Come miss, let me first examine you." The doctor gestured for Melinda to come over to the bed.

Melinda raised her head to stare at Su Ping, only when she saw him nod, did she turn back to the doctor before approaching the bed. At the same time, the doctor forced a smile when he saw Su Ping smiling at him. The meaning behind the smile was obvious. " Try anything funny and see what happens".

" Now if you would please lay down on your back." The doctor said. Melinda did as the doctor said.

" Physical Analysis." The doctor stretched out his hands over her and casted a spell. Melinda's body was enveloped by a silver glow.

" Well?"

" She's fine." The doctor said after the silver glow receded. " You're wife is in perfect health sir."

"...." The doctor shook his head lightly when he noticed Su Pings silent stare.

" And she's pregnant. Congratulations Sir." The doctor said.

' So it's true...S-She's actually.. pregnant.'

' But we only did it once...'

' This... my wife is pregnant...'

' We're going to have another child?'

' Will it be a boy or a girl?'

' How do I go about dealing with this.'

Su Ping froze up, his mouth parted and closed as if he didn't know what to say.

" I'm pregnant darling, isn't that wonderful." Melinda smiled at her husband from the bed.

" Y-Yes... I can't wait." Su Ping managed to say yet inward, he was worried about another thing.

He knew it hadn't been too long Melinda must've conceived and yet it wasn't normal for her to just suddenly gain one of his abilities.

' Is it because I'm a dark dragon? Do dragons pass on their abilities to their spouses or could this be something related to my Dark Dragon King bloodline.' Su Pings mind was filled with growing thoughts.

' I don't know if this is normal, it's ok that she gained my abilities but is this safe for her in the long run. Could there be risks associated with bearing a dragons child...' The more Su Ping thought about these things the more worried he became.

He wasn't versed in inter racial matters between humans and non humans, much less dragons. If these sudden changes happening to his wife were beneficial, he would be relived, but if not.

' For her sake, I need to learn more about this matter. I can't just leave it up to chance. I don't want to lose her, if this child puts her life at risk then I'm better off not letting her have it. I won't her put her life at risk.' a burning desire to protect her surfaced within his heart.

Since there was nothing wrong with Melinda, besides the wonderful news of her pregnancy, the family of 4 left the clinic and made sure to take the two death knights with them.

' I'll do everything I can to learn more about this.' Su Ping wanted to gather more information related to Melinda's situation, the sooner the better. ' That's what I'd like to do, but first, I need to deal with those pesky side quests first.' He said to himself, sighing with annoyance.

' I don't think I should postpone my Lvl up anymore either... I can't have myself being weak when she might need me the most.' Su Ping gritted his teeth, feeling as if some invisible pressure was slowly bearing down on him.

They returned back to the inn with the death knights. This time Su Pings expression had eased a lot, he didn't look as icy as before so he didn't scare of those they encountered on the streets, which pleased Melinda but, just because he looked calm now didn't mean the presence of the two death knights didn't make others feel apprehensive towards them.

Su Ping didn't try to do anything about it, instead he was actually glad, the less people around them, the better. In a short while they soon returned to the in.

" Mr Su, a moment please." Su Pings family of 4 saw Annabel waving them over and stopped just as they were about to head up the stairs.

' What is it this time.' Su Ping thought to himself before the 4 of them approached the counter.

" Is there something wrong."

" Non in the slightest, Mr Su." Annabel said with a smile. " I just wanted to inform you that someone came looking for you while you were out."

' Someone came looking for me? Could it be one of those store owners?'

" Does this person have a name." Su Ping asked, perplexed.

" I'm sorry Mr Su, she didn't leave a name." Su Ping frowned at her remark, he wanted to ask why she called him if the person didn't leave a name. " But she had blonde hair and was really pretty, also, she said that if you returned, i should tell you that your favorite servant came looking for you."

"...." Su Ping glanced at Melinda who glanced back at him, the looks in their eyes showed that they already knew who it was.

" If she comes back again, just tell her that I'm not around. Even if I'm around, tell her I'm not." Su Ping didn't bother with this anymore, he simply lead his family of 4 up stairs.

" As you wish, Mr Su." Annabel nodded with a serious look. As if she had been given a very important command.

' So she was lying. Master doesn't seem to be friends with her. But if that's the case, then what her reason for coming here?' Annabel thought to herself.

The Su family's, family of 4, returned to their rooms.

" I'll be back in awhile, if you need anything go to Annabel. Under no circumstances are you to leave this inn." Su Ping recalled that he still had to make sure to sell the materials and food supply's they got from the village.
