She watched as the horse began running back towards the enforcer knights, the knights were at a loss for words watching the horse that was supposed to be near burned out, suddenly speed past them like a energetic stallion, it's speed far greater than when it was fleeing away from them.
" Captain! What is that!" An enforcer knight screamed in fear when it saw a scary looking gate pop out of thin air Infront of Lucinda who was still slumped on the floor, trying to force her aching body to crawl towards her brother who's vitality seemed to be diminishing by the second.
To the knights horror, the gate was pitch black, as if it was nothing but a mass of darkness. Moreover, darkness began to spread outwards from the gate, coating the entire ground Infront of of it, it instantly covered an area of 100 meters in a split second before arriving Infront of the enforcer knights, at a speed, far greater than they could react, it spread past them and kept expanding farther and farther.
The knights became even more frightened when their horses began crying out in fear, their legs were stuck.
" Don't get off the horses! I repeat, non of you should dismount, you here me!" The enforcer knight captain shouted out his orders. He then stared at the pitch black gate in fear, never did he expect for the girl to actually summon a demon.
' Are demons really this benovelent?! Just what could that little witch have that could attract such a fearsome demon!' The captain cursed his luck. He had thought that this was a simple mission that would allow him to gain some favour from Roland's noble house, but to think that after this frustrating chase for so many days, he would not only fail but could even stand to lose his life here.
" Arggh!! I'm getting out of here!"
" Hey! Wait for me!"
" Don't leave me behind you bastards!"
To the captains irritation, his own squad decided to make a run for it, after all, they were all Lvl 1 elite units with the captain being close to Lvl 1 Rare, but this unknown entity might as well be a Lvl 2 rare or even higher, just with his display of power, the captain understood their reasoning but that didn't mean he was happy with it.
The knights strangely, weren't stopped by the darkness, their thoughts of escaping increased even more when they realized this, without hesitation, they fled with all their strength.
" You bastard's! It's obviously a trap!" The captain shouted but non of them payed him any heed.
" These shameless fools, did they even stop to think! How can there be a demon merciful enough to let others go just like that!"
As if in line with his reasoning, a white blur shot out of the gate, crossing several tens of feet in a split second, instantly surpassing the fleeing knights before returning back to stop next to the pitch black gate.
" What in the world?!!" The captain nearly had a heart attack when he watched as the knights who were in the midst of running , suddenly crumble into slabs of minced meat, the sound of their armour dropping to the ground with a thud, seemed to be the only sound that was heard in the vast grassy plains.
The Captains eyes turned horrified, with shaking limbs, he turned back towards the gate only to see a white furred creature with strange black markings crossing some parts of it's fur. The unknown creature stood in a kneeling position besides the gate.
' So that's a demon!' The Captains eyes were filled with apprehension while staring at the creature but the next moment, something clicked within his mind.
' Why's the demon kneeling down?'
' Is this some kind of mandatory ritual once summoned, they must kneel before their summoner?' The captain wondered while also thinking of how he could escape his current perilous situation.
Lucinda stared at the humanoid fox like creature Infront of her who's appearance instilled a sense of awe and captivation the more one stared at it.
" A-are you my summoned demon." Lucinda asked only for her body to stiffen as she forced her body up in a sitting position, pulling her brother into her lap.
" Please help me save my brother. Please, I promise you can have my soul if that's what you want, please, just help me save my younger brother!"
" You summoned me here to save someone?" Lucinda suddenly stiffened when she heard a foreign voice emerge by her ear.
She turned only to be frightened by the sight of a fearsome black demon standing beside her.
" Master, I've done as you asked and quelled the insurgents." Ming Yao suddenly raised her head to gaze at Su Ping with her shimmering eyes as if awaiting his praise.
Lucinda on the other hand was in disbelief, Hadn't she summoned one demon, how come they were two, and from the looks of it, the black one seemed to be the superior amongst the two.
" Ming Yao, can you heal him?" Su Ping ignored Lucinda's dazed expression, turning towards Ming Yao for help.
" I'm not sure master, I don't have any healing skills. The wood affinity might be helpful but I'm afraid I'm not that adept at using it to heal another." Ming Yao flashed an awkward smile..
" Then you can heal him right! Please heal me brother!" Lucinda turned towards Su Ping with a desperate gaze.
" Are you able to use healing magic?" Su Ping asked Lucinda who only shook her head in a hurry.
" I see, Ming Yao, please fetch the human." Su Ping used his eyes to gesture towards the captain some distance away.
The captain was terrified and confused at the same time at the fact that two demons had appeared from the gate, and from the looks of it, they seemed to be collaborating together.
" The first one was already strong, could the second be even stronger?!" Recalling how the white fox demon had acted submissive towards the Dark draconian, the Captain began feeling that there was no way to escape his current situation.
