I Become The Richest Man With A monthly Salary of Twenty Thousand Yuan

Chapter 397 Ominous Sign_2

Xia Liang lazily stretched.

"OH MY GOD!"

Just then, a startled cry rang out. Everyone turned to look and was stunned for a moment. A tall, blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman was standing nearby.

In the sunlight, her blonde hair shone with a brilliant luster. Her eyes were as blue as the sea, and her straight, aquiline nose was striking without being obtrusive, adding a touch of nobility to her features.

"Prophet, I was wondering if you could read my fortune?" the blonde woman asked in slightly halting Chinese.

Xia Liang gave the foreign woman a lazy glance and chuckled. "Your father is the Archbishop of the Los Angeles Cathedral. You, a follower of a Western religion, are coming to me for a reading? You're not very devout in your own faith, are you?"

After speaking, Xia Liang looked at the woman, Danny, with a smile.

Danny covered her mouth in shock. "You even know that?"

Xia Liang gave her a teasing smile. "You've been interested in the history of the Dragon Country since you were a child. This time, you're taking advantage of your vacation to visit the Dragon Country with a friend."

"Yes, that's right!" Danny nodded emphatically.

"She went to the restroom," Xia Liang continued. "At home, you have a large golden retriever. Because you love the culture of Xia Country, you named it Xiao Tianquan."

Danny nodded her head like a chicken pecking at grain. "Yes, he's already five years old now."

"When you were twelve, you went through a rebellious phase and wanted to get a lip piercing, but your father stopped you. For that, you received the first slap of your life. Am I right?" Xia Liang watched Danny with a grin as he spoke.

"Oh my gosh, Prophet, you're truly amazing!" Danny's eyes lit up when she saw that Xia Liang hadn't missed a single detail. She mumbled to herself in admiration.

It's so accurate. There's probably no one else in all of Xia Country who knows these things. To think that Xia Liang could say all this so clearly just by looking at me! He speaks so casually, yet he's completely accurate! Can there really be such an incredible prophet in this world?

"Prophet, you are incredible!" Danny gave him a thumbs-up. "Even my father, or clergy members of a higher rank than him, don't possess such miraculous divination skills."

Xia Liang smiled faintly. "Of course. I'm a professional."

Danny asked excitedly, "Then, Prophet, could you read my future for me?"

"Certainly," Xia Liang replied. "You're planning to travel for two weeks and then return home, correct?"

Danny nodded. "That's the plan."

Xia Liang shook his head. "I'm afraid you won't be staying for two weeks. You'll likely have to return home in three days at most."

"What?" Danny's eyes widened with worry. "Is there going to be some kind of accident?"

Xia Liang waved his hand dismissively. "You won't have any major problems, but your friend Zoey will have an accident. It's this incident that will force you to end your trip early."

"Zoey? Something is going to happen to her?" Danny's blue eyes widened even further. She couldn't believe this prophet even knew her friend's name.

Just as she was about to ask for more details, an urgent voice called out from nearby.

"Danny!"

Another tall, blonde, blue-eyed woman walked over. "Danny, what are you doing here? I've been looking all over for you."

"Zoey, come quick! Let me introduce you to this prophet," Danny said, introducing Xia Liang. Both women were tall, with model-like figures and perfect proportions. Standing there together, they exuded a striking exotic air.

"Divination? Danny, you haven't been scammed, have you?" Zoey frowned, eyeing Xia Liang with suspicion.

Xia Liang, in turn, was sizing up Zoey. Compared to Danny, Zoey was dressed much more lightly in just a crop top and tight shorts, giving her a mature charm that Danny lacked.

"What are you looking at? If you try to deceive my friend, I'll call the police!" Zoey took a small step back, her brow furrowed as she looked at Xia Liang.

"Zoey, don't be disrespectful to the Prophet," Danny chided softly. She then took a small bill from her bag and placed it on the table.

Her friend Zoey immediately frowned. "Danny, he's a fraud! Don't believe him!"

"A fraud, am I?" Xia Liang offered a slight smile. "I didn't ask you for a reading."

Danny insisted on leaving the money on the table. "Prophet, please tell me, what kind of trouble will Zoey encounter?"

But Xia Liang simply smiled without answering. "Miss Danny, it seems your understanding of Dragon Country's culture isn't deep enough!"

Puzzled, Danny looked at him questioningly.

"Don't you know that in the Dragon Country, we have payment methods like Alipay or WeChat? There's also an old saying here: 'Don't flaunt your wealth.' Yet here you are, running around with cash in hand. You foreign ladies are certainly something else, so audacious and clueless!" Xia Liang said with a smirk, glancing around them.

"Oh! Thank you for the reminder, Prophet!" Danny said gratefully.

By now, Xia Liang had already used the Eye of the Heavenly Dao to see both of their futures. This Zoey was about to have an accident, a bloody one at that!

Danny asked again, "Prophet, can you tell me what kind of trouble Zoey will run into?"

"Danny, don't believe him! Let's go!" Zoey cut in, pulling Danny by the arm without another word.

Xia Liang chuckled. "Miss Zoey, if I were you, I'd take off that cross from around your neck."

"Take off my cross?" Zoey's anger flared at his words. "You fraud! Are you questioning my faith?"

"Believe it or not," Xia Liang shrugged.

Zoey snorted and stubbornly pulled Danny away. But at that very moment, disaster struck. As Zoey tugged on Danny's arm to leave, the high heel of her shoe suddenly snapped. With a startled cry, Zoey pitched forward, falling face-first onto the ground.

"GOD! Zoey!" Danny cried out, rushing to help her up. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't lift Zoey. A few kind-hearted tourists nearby also hurried over to help.

"My chest… my chest hurts so much!" Zoey's pained voice finally emerged after a long moment. Her words came out in a pained, breathy slur, and a faint trace of blood soon appeared at her lips. Where she had fallen, a stone protruded from the ground, and she had even knocked out two of her front teeth!

With the help of the crowd, Zoey barely managed to get to her feet. Just then, Danny pointed at her, her face a mask of horror. "Zoey, look at your chest!"

Zoey looked down. The cross she wore had been driven into her chest, with only half of it still visible. Blood was steadily oozing from the wound. The cross itself was ornate and uneven, and these sharp edges acted like makeshift blood grooves. In an instant, the front of Zoey's shirt was stained red.

"Help me!"

"Get help!"

"Please help us..." Danny cried out helplessly, switching to English in her panic.

"Someone call an ambulance!" a bystander shouted.

"This is a scenic area! By the time an ambulance gets here, she'll be a goner!" another worried.

"That's near her heart! If it hit a major artery, she's finished!"

"Is there a doctor here? We need help!"

"Miss, the foreign lady, why don't you go ask Master Chu for help?" someone suggested.

"Yeah, if he could predict it, he must have a solution!"

The concerned tourists all tried to think of what to do. In her panic, Danny ran over to Xia Liang and shook his arm. "Prophet, save her! Prophet, please..."

Xia Liang shook his head. "I'm just a fortune-teller. She refused to listen to me, so what could I possibly do?"

"Prophet, please..." Danny's beautiful eyes were filled with desperation.

Xia Liang shook his head again, though a bit wearily this time. "Don't worry, someone will be here to save her soon. When it comes to this sort of thing, our Xia Country is far more efficient than yours. She won't die, but she can't escape a painful ordeal."

After saying this, Xia Liang simply closed his eyes to rest.

Before Danny could even respond, the security guards from the commercial street noticed the commotion and came rushing over.

"Stretcher! We need a stretcher over here!"
