Siderius opened his eyes again. The sky went dark. Rea was sitting in front of him. Between them was the flickering fire camp.

"Are you finished, my lord?" Rea said.

"I am."

"Should we wait for sunrise, or…"

"You can go rest. We will ride at dawn."

"Alright, my lord."

Rea dragged her tired body into the tent. She had been keeping guard since the morning, making sure Siderius wouldn't fall into any harm.

Siderius clenched his fist, feeling the new surge of power from the bat. Contrary to what he expected, after consuming the psyche of the bat, his perception didn't increase. Instead his Agility, Endurance, Stamina, and Strength increased one point each.

He also had gained a unique ability from the bat. Siderius called this ability Sonic Localization.

He closed his eyes. The world around him showed up vividly in his mind. He concentrated further, expanding his 30-meter hearing radius to a mile.

This was Sonic Localization. By concentrating, he could hear everything in a mile radius around him. He had to pick up a single noise in a sea of sound and focused on it instead of hearing everything all at once.

It was simply an advanced tracking tool and not an omniscient pair of ears.

"Not too bad. Not too great. If I need to follow someone, it would be hard for them to hide from me."

Tomorrow morning, Siderius and Rea rode to Paratus.

"What are you planning to do in Paratus, my lord?"

"I want to find out the identity of an assassin. The only person that can help me with that is Anthony Pereira. A noble in the town of Paratus?"

"Anton?!"

"You know the man?"

"Not personally, my lord. But he is an infamous lord. His city is drenched in booze, drugs, and sex. They call him lord of the debauchery. He is very arrogant and is not to be reasoned with."

"That is where you are wrong, Rea. Every man can be reasoned with. You just need to find the right… push."

The two of them spent another week on the road to arrive at Paratus. It was not that different from Blacklungs with the dirty streets and whores walking in broad daylight inviting men in their brothels.

When they arrived, many eyes darted over to them. After all, Siderius did wear a mask. That mask concealed his identity but made him the center of attention.

Rea with her long blonde hair and pale complexion didn't make such an ordinary companion either.

A group of men stood in front of them. Their clothes and skin reeked of alcohol.

"Hey, you two! Where do you think you're going?"

Siderius drew <Piryo> in the air. A blast of fire shot out and landed on the men. It was a mild fire wave, not enough to kill them, but enough to burn their hair and cause them to run away in fear.

Everyone else diverted their eyes away. They knew not to cause trouble to the pair that just arrived in Paratus. That masked rider was a witch.

Siderius and Rea continued on their path. They aimed to build the largest structure in the town. That was obviously where Anthony was.

It used to be a church with its white color paint and the bell at the top. However, it had been transformed into a house of debauchery by the lord of debauchery.

In front of the building, a group of men stood around, poorly armored with spears and halberds in their hands.

"Stop right there. Who are you?"

"I need to see you lord right now." Siderius said. His voice was low and harsh.

"Lord Anthony does not want to see anyone right now."

Rea chuckled. "I suggest you do as my lord said or he will cut you all down. Right here…"

Rea's voice was soft and under the breath. She sounded like she was seducing them. But they all could feel the underlying threat that crawled upon their skin.

"Wait… Wait here!" They yielded.

A soldier ran inside to find Anthony while the rest were at their maximum alertness. They didn't want to provoke Siderius but all their weapons were aiming at them.

Siderius jumped down the horse. "Let's tie them in front of the building, Rea."

"Yes, my lord!"

"You can't do that! You must put them in the stables."

"I will be visiting your lord for a short amount of time. It is not necessary to put them in the stables."

No one dared to question him after that.

The soldier that went away came back after a few minutes. "Lord Anthony called for you."

Siderius and Rea went through the group of soldiers. They split to either side and made a way for them.

Before going in, Siderius turned to the rest of the soldiers.

"Watch my horses. If something happens to them, I will peel your skin off."

The soldier gulped. "Yes, my lord."

The pair went inside the church.

The floor of the church collapsed long ago, creating a large hole in the middle. The bottom of the hole was repurposed into a new play room with staircases leading back up to the floor.

Down at the hole, Anthony sat on his small fur throne with two naked women by his side.

He was holding a cup of wine when Siderius entered. Anthony raised the cup high.

"Greetings, my friend. I don't believe we have met?"

Siderius didn't answer. He stepped forward.

The hunter didn't use the stairs, instead, he fell straight down from the ground floor. He landed heavily on the soft dirt without even a flinch.

The noise of the party died down as everyone stopped what they're doing and stared at Siderius. Rea stood still and smiled, waiting for her lord to finish.

Anthony got rid of his cheeky expression and turned serious.

Siderius approached the throne. All of Anthony's soldiers went to his side.

"How may I help you, friend?" Anthony said, trying his best to keep a calm facade.

"I want the assassination list."

"What list?" Anthony smiled wryly.

Siderius took off his mask and put on his Signet Ring.

"I am Lord Siderius Snow Satterblade, Baron of Snowfell.

Your organization took a job and killed my mother. I want the name of that assassin now.

Do not test my patience. If you do, instead of killing that responsible assassin, I might burn your entire assassin guild down in her name."
