Avahni admitted, this was not quite how she expected this meeting to go.
Avahni hoped that it might be somewhat like her first ever meeting with Jon.
The lutin had encountered him at his most vulnerable, possessing just a single Mana Core and no direct offensive capabilities. These two green and blue aliens were placed in a similar situation, one that Avahni could help resolve if they let her.
'I did not expect to meet other participants in the System Introduction today! I wonder what their names are and how hard their language is to understand?' Avahni thought to herself.
The look of apprehension on the green alien's face as she approached caused her to tone down the effects of her Asherah-Shamrock Hair, worried that she might take the presence of her aura the wrong way.
Jon almost did, although given the pain he was experiencing at the time, Avahni understood why he almost did so.
Although she was incapable of knowing how severe the blue alien's wounds were, Avahni did not expect his injuries to be worse than the first she encountered the human. Jon had suffered third-degree burns to one arm, the scent of his burning flesh and the sound of his screams had been etched into the depths of her Mental Aquascape.
Even if she did not want to remember such a thing, Avahni could not help but recall their first meeting from time to time, trying her best to focus on the positives of the situation the two found themselves in.
Jon had recovered quite swiftly, resolving the burns and flesh wounds within a matter of days. While Avahni thought about asking Jon what fragment he had integrated to obtain such an ability, a certain ginseng had told her that his own powers did not in any way appear lacklustre when compared to the human.
Ru Luan Di had told her that despite his complete and utter lack of offensive capabilities, his supportive abilities, specifically in relation to healing and cleansing were "overwhelmingly effective".
The lutin just smiled, patting her little ginseng on the head, ignoring the not-so-subtle glare he was sending her way. As a result, Avahni could feel the bubbling yearning within Ru Luan Di to prove himself.
The ginseng did not have much to offer outside of his knowledge and experience when no-one was injured or in need of cleansing. Avahni often watched as Ru Luan Di rolled over to the other side of the riverbank, observing Wilheim as he practiced the manipulation of his Mana Cores, or improved his mastery over certain abilities.
Even though the ginseng was Avahni's first ever companion in this world, he was unable to contribute to the group.
So, seeing Ru Luan Di offer one of his limbs was a first for Avahni. The lutin pausing mid-sentence, watching as the little ginseng snapped off one of his arms, extending it towards her.
"Let me show you what I can do Avahni. Let me show you, what it means to possess the Title of Liver Of The Ginseng King", said Ru Luan Di, looking up at the form of his summoner, tugging on the hem of her pant leg.
Avahni could do nothing but nod, agreeing with her summon, taking the limb and extending it towards the pair of aliens. Avahni could see an expression of apprehension appear on the green one, the blue one glancing towards his companion, muttering something while clutching the others hand.
'Are they lovers or something? What are the chances of them being placed within the same small realm and then finding each other across this enormous construct?' Avahni wanted to raise an eyebrow, but remained standstill, softly smiling as she watched the green-skinned alien approach, swiftly snatching the root-like limb from her hand.
Despite the subtle aggression behind this action Avahni did not show any indication of displeasure or annoyance, knowing that this alien was fearful for the life of her companion.
Watching as the green-skinned alien fed Roland's limb to the blue-skinned one, Avahni increased the amount of spiritual energy released from her Fire Mana Core seed, urging it towards the Fragment Of Ginseng which manifested Ru Luan Di.
The young ginseng king absorbed the fire natured spiritual energy that Avahni released, using it to rejuvenate his willing target. The spiritual energy that flowed throughout Ru Luan Di was beyond familiar to the little ginseng and his precise manipulation of said fire natured spiritual energy, was beyond anything that Jon, Wilheim, or even Avahni could even dream of.
"Listen to me closely Avahni. Each Mana Core within you produces a unique form of spiritual energy. While some are conceptually similar to one another, given the specific Mana Cores that you have integrated, none will behave or even present themselves in a similar fashion to each other."
"Fire natured spiritual energy is volatile. It burns hot and fast, often leaving nothing behind but the scent of charred earth on the nose and the thick taste of ash on your tongue. It is not within the nature of fire to be kind or gentle, nor will it stop if you ask it to. The best thing to do with fire natured spiritual energy, is to guide it elsewhere or allow yourself to become kindling," said Ru Luan Di.
The little ginseng king watched as the blue alien quickly devoured his limb, splotches of spiritual energy seeping into his physical form, allowing Ru Luan Di to obtain a greater grasp over the situation. Within a matter of seconds, Ru Luan Di furrowed his brows, feeling the immense amount of poisonous corruption that had infected this blue humanoid.
Inky, black tendrils of vile filth filled the veins of this creature. Traces of minute yellow-green pustules could be seen growing along organs and glands. The once, blue-coloured blood of this creature now a horrid dark black, emanating a sense of rotting corruption.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
His fire natured spiritual energy attempted to burn away the growing infestation within his body, but the growing corruption feasted on his veins, blood and organs, transforming it into spiritual energy capable of combating the cleansing fire.
Shamael started feeling a comfortable warmth within his chest, which swiftly transformed into a subtle burning sensation. Not quite heartburn or acid reflux, more of an actual candle being lit within his chest.
Observing the nature of this corruption caused Ru Luan Di to let out a small tsk, seeing the problem at hand.
"You have got to be kidding me. Not only did this guy try and fight a Knight as a Mortal but he also integrated a Rot Mana Core?! Of all the annoying patients I've had to treat in the past, this one is without a doubt near the top," Ru Luan Di declared, causing Avahni to peer down towards her summon.
"A Rot Mana Core?" the lutin asked, curiosity raising its head.
Ru Luan Di nodded.
"For whatever reason, these two idiots decided to pick a fight with some random Knight Ranked creature nearby. Luckily for him, this Knight Ranked creature shared at least one Mana Core with him, preventing the foreign spiritual energy from corrupting his own spiritual energy."
"As it stands, the debuffs and afflictions that have been inflicted on this young alien should have already killed him, but the innate resistances born from his Rot Mana Core or Curse Mana Core have prevented him from doing so."
"Given how conceptually close the foreign spiritual energy is to his own spiritual energy, being able to identify just the former becomes significantly more difficult. Not to mention the fact that in order to save his life, I also must eliminate this foreign spiritual energy," Ru Luan Di stepped forward, waddling over towards his patient.
Lifting his head to stare at the green-skinned alien, Ru Luan Di gestured towards her blue-skinned companion, communicating with her using Nain, knowing that it would not have much success.
"I need to be able to touch the source of the infection in order to eliminate it," the ginseng stated, more so for Avahni than for the green alien he was standing in front of. Despite the alien not being able to understand his words, it reluctantly nodded, allowing for Ru Luan Di to crawl up the length of his patient, sitting on his chest while placing a hand on his wound.
"Avahni. I need as much fire natured spiritual energy as you are willing to give right now. In addition, I need the enhancement effect born from your Asherah-Shamrock Hair. I need everything," the little ginseng king requested, causing Avahni to nod, imagining the growth of her Wood Mana Core and Fire Mana Core within her mind.
The lutin felt her form surge with an incredible amount of spiritual energy. While her Wood Mana Core was running a little on empty, Avahni continued pushing out wood natured spiritual energy as the fact was of little consequence.
Her hair started to glow with a bright green light, extending towards the floor and dropping in puddles around her feet. The Asherah-Shamrock Hair that was born from her Fragment Of Mother hummed with a strength that neither Ru Luan Di, Huo Liyu or Metzli had ever seen before.
While most were unable to notice the changes, the faintest traces of golden coloured cuneiform letters appeared on each individual strand of hair. Ru Luan Di had attempted to decipher the meaning behind these letters but found himself unable to, even with his several thousand years' worth of experience and knowledge.
The aura of kindness and warmth that Avahni emitted grew stronger, even influencing Sariel for a brief few moments, the satanas almost losing herself before the gorgeous, goddess-like image that Avahni now possessed.
She had almost forgotten about her brother placed beside her, screaming out into the wilderness, her thoughts almost running amok as she rushed to close her brothers mouth, preventing his voice from attracting any undesirables. All Sariel could do was wrap herself around her brother's form, preventing him from hurting himself, or the little creature that was trying to save him.
Ru Luan Di felt the astonishing amount of spiritual energy and enhancements affect him. While it perhaps was not quite enough to the average Mortal Ranked individual to cleanse someone of Knight Ranked afflictions and debuffs, Ru Luan Di was anything but average.
The space around his head ignited as a fiery crown manifested itself above him. While the power of his Title, Liver Of The Ginseng King, had been discarded, the concepts and laws which had birthed it was anything but.
The powers born from most Titles were unique, even if two individuals used the same Title Fragments to create one complete Title.
The Source that each individual lifeform possessed influenced the formation of a complete Title. The fragments and Mana Cores that an individual integrated influenced the formation of a complete Title.
Wonder Fragments and Memento Source Fragments also influence the birth of Titles. However, Ru Luan Di no longer had access to either of his previous belongings now that he had become a summon.
Nevertheless, the Liver Of The Ginseng King, allowed him to exert a level of strength that exceeded the limits of Mortality, but not quite reaching the realm of Knighthood. The fiery crown that manifested above his head increased the intensity and effectiveness of his abilities, causing his patient to scream even louder, as the searing spiritual energy burned through the corruption within his body.
Snapping off another one of his limbs, Ru Luan Di transformed it into pure fire natured spiritual energy, urging it towards the wound on Shamael's shoulder. The little ginseng king almost being toppled over as his patient screamed trying to fight off the pain, giving the green-skinned alien a small nod as he continued his word.
Rivers of fiery spiritual energy coursed through Shamael's veins, searing away the inky black tendrils of vile filth that gathered within. Streams of golden-red fire cauterized the growing yellow-green pustules that grew on his organs and glands. Droplets of cleansing flame burned away the horrid black blood within Shamael, erasing the rotting corruption from his blood.
Ru Luan Di thought that the procedure was going well, until a foul torrent of corruption natured mana burst forth from the wound itself, overpowering his purifying flames.
Nevertheless, it still was not enough, the difference between a Mortal Ranked cleanse and a Knight Ranked debuff was not so easily overcome.
"Green-skinned sapient! I know you cannot understand me, but if you don't want your companion to die I need you to keep casting your cleansing Spell!" Ru Luan Di shouted, not once removing his gaze from the wound he was trying to treat.
Despite her arms and legs being wrapped around her brothers body, Sariel lifted her head, seeing the little ginseng creature attempt to communicate with her. The young satanas did not understand what he was trying to say, causing Ru Luan Di to let out another tsk, focusing his attention back into his patient.
The corruption was too much. Allowed to spread far too quickly without anything done to combat it. Ru Luan Di could risk burning away more spiritual energy, but if he burned away too much there was a chance that he could damage the patient's Mana Cores.
That was perhaps a fate even worse than the one he was currently facing.
"Avahni, I need you to give me even more spirit- ".
The familiar emanation of spiritual energy rippled out from across the grove.
Ru Luan Di felt his eyes widen, turning his head towards the familiar short figure which stood across the clearing. His hand extended forward, saturating the blue-skinned creature beneath him with a warm golden glow of a castle hearth.
