The Investiture: Unlimited Blade Works Nezha

Chapter 526: I the Jade Emperor Shall Go Forth and Appoint You Grand Marshal

The monkey felt like he was being scammed. Although he didn't know the joke "I'm Emperor Qin Shi Huang, send me five hundred bucks and I'll make you a Great General," he didn't believe for a second that the majestic Jade Emperor would be sealed in this tiny cave.

However, the grand Emperor Hao Tian was indeed sealed here. As for why he used the title of the Jade Emperor, it was mainly because Hao Tian still felt it was a bit embarrassing.

The Yin Zhuo King, who sealed him, had been struck by Nezha with an axe and was now missing, which made the seal much looser. Even though he still couldn't get out, at least he could try to communicate with the outside world.

This so-called 'cave' was actually a passage he had opened linking his sealed place with the Primordial world.

At this time, Hao Tian didn't know who was outside, but having finally encountered someone, with his exceedingly self-centered personality, how could he give up?

This seal was only confined him internally; he couldn't come out, but he could bring others in!

You guys ignore me, huh? Then come in and keep me company!

The master and his disciples, who were taking a detour, saw a golden light flashing from the cave in the distance. Then a suction force enveloped them, and as Sun Wukong realized he couldn't save his companions, he turned around and fled. The golden light disappeared, and Xuanzang, Bajie, and Sha Wujing vanished.

Inside the seal, a stuffy Hao Tian took a glance to see which unlucky fellow it was, only to find a familiar face.

"Y-Your Majesty!"

"Ah, it's Juanlian."

Sha Wujing had long been disciplined. Upon seeing Hao Tian, he quickly paid his respects. Hao Tian didn't care much for this Daoist who had been rolling curtains for him for who knows how many years.

Just then, Sun Wukong's voice came from outside.

"Master, Master!"

Xuanzang hurriedly shouted back, "Wukong, I'm here, Wukong!"

Hao Tian was aware of the task to fetch scriptures, and he glanced at Sha Wujing before adopting a pose as steady as Taishan.

"Master, just wait, I'll think of a way to rescue you!"

Xuanzang voiced his agreement, while Sha Wujing quickly said, "Eldest Brother, it really is the Emperor here, please think of a way!"

Having been disciplined by Hao Tian for an unknown amount of time, Sha Wujing still harbored thoughts of returning to roll curtains in the heavens.

If they managed to rescue the Emperor this time, could he possibly return to the heavens?

Outside, Sun Wukong was urgently trying. He pulled out his Jingu Bang and prodded it inside, but even after extending it for a day and a night, it hadn't reached the other end.

The spatial principles inside were evidently beyond Sun Wukong's understanding.

He tried many methods, but the gap was simply too large, and he was completely powerless against the seal that the Yin Zhuo King had laid down.

Sun Wukong's incessant attempts, however, did trigger some restrictions on the seal, stirring a void of endless, ink-green, seemingly biological, decaying sludge across countless times and spaces.

An awareness within the sludge was awakened.

The sludge roiled and coalesced into a human form. The humanoid donned a red robe and mask, and red mold sprouted from his head—it was none other than the missing Yin Zhuo King.

The green sludge whirled, expelling a snow-white, protein-rich large maggot which twisted and turned into our old acquaintance, Randeng.

As for how these two got together, we can only say fate works in mysterious ways.

"I have sensed Hao Tian's aura. As long as I devour him, with the aid of the Demon God's remnants, there might be a chance to achieve Chaos Origin. Therefore, I still need your help, Daoist Friend."

Randeng no longer appeared as gloomy as before and surprisingly looked somewhat kind.

"Helping you is helping me. Why be so formal, Daoist Friend? Keh keh keh."

The two figures returned to the mire, and the ink-green sludge, seemingly conscious, began to flow quickly in a certain direction.

Everything on the road would be corrupted, becoming part of the mire.

The two were initially avoiding the Corrupt Demon God, drawing near the Primordial world. Now with coordinates, their speed increased.

Moreover, since chaos time differs from primordial time, Wukong was still trying to prod his Jingu Bang hard, then suddenly sensed that something was wrong underneath the staff.

He mistakenly thought he had reached the end!

"Master, have you seen my staff?"

Xuanzang looked around and said, "Wukong, I haven't seen it!"

Sun Wukong felt confused; what was going on? The Jingu Bang's Merit Golden Light surged and snapped back with a swish.

Looking up, he saw the ink-green sludge pouring from the cave, and one end of his Jingu Bang was now limp and soft, clearly not something good.

Over there, Nezha, who was listening to music, suddenly changed expressions.

"Summon the entire Heavenly Court army, gather and prepare for battle immediately."

There was no time for procedures; Nezha's voice instantly appeared in the ears of all the Heavenly Court high officials.

He crossed space directly to appear beside Sun Wukong, inspected the green sludge carefully, and was a bit surprised.

Chaos Demon God invading the Primordial world? Really? Old Deng is up there, are you this bold?

Then seeing it was the Corrupt Demon God, the one who once had mutual recognition with Hao Tian and sprayed manure all over the Turquoise Pool, it didn't seem that strange anymore.

Nezha immediately saw through the other party's goal: the sealed Hao Tian. Though he didn't know why, thinking that whatever people intended to do, stopping them was surely right.

He traced a circle across the sealed space with his finger, slicing off the entire layer where Hao Tian was located and casually flung it onto the East Sea Dragon Clan's territory.

Ahem, mainly because the sea was a fitting battlefield; there were no personal grievances here.

The foul-smelling, ink-green sludge, realizing the target was missing, hurriedly began to corrupt space, heading swiftly to the East Sea.

Sun Wukong was utterly baffled, but it seemed like things weren't simple.

"E-Eldest Brother? This?"

Nezha signaled with his eyes for him to stay silent, took out the Kunlun Mirror and aimed it at this spot, repairing the damaged space. Then he flashed, taking Sun Wukong with him to the East Sea.

Inside the East Sea, filthy smelly mud continuously surged forth, and any creature coming into contact turned instantly into its nutrients, becoming a mud monster assaulting more living beings.

Nezha raised one hand to the sky, quickly forming a blazing sun above him, which continued to expand. Feeling the increasingly terrifying heat and energy, Sun Wukong quickly retreated far away.

Feeling it was about time, Nezha immediately threw it down. As the ink-green seawater touched the blazing sun, it boiled, evaporating instantly. All corrupted beings were purified, and the sprayed mud was scattered by the immense energy.

The seawater and sludge cleared, Nezha continued by using the Kunlun Mirror, and the space began to oscillate layer by layer. The stable space was squeezed and extended by an invisible force, with intertwined elements like earth, fire, water, and wind quickly forming a simple small world.

Directly above the little world was the seal where Hao Tian was located, acting as the medium between the sides.

One side linking to the Primordial world, the other to Chaos.

Nezha drew out two spatial channels, one connecting to the Heavenly Court and the other to the underworld.

On the Heavenly Court side, Deng Chanyu had already organized the troops. Seeing the spatial channel open, she immediately led the army in, deploying and forming lines to resist the invading Chaos Creatures.
