Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 39: Bloodline Awakening

The central tower, council hall.

A hundred bloodline warriors stood respectfully in a neat formation.

Sitting high on the throne in the center of the hall, Charlotte looked at the warriors below, dressed in various attires, with a somewhat complex expression.

These hundred bloodline warriors were the result of her afternoon's review, selected from over three hundred "seed players" to be the elite.

Among them were names she was very familiar with from the various clans of later generations.

This wasn't deliberate on Charlotte's part.

In fact, upon discovering that the total list contained too many names she had heard before, she even threw the list to Badak directly.

Furthermore, during the subsequent review, she even instructed Badak not to tell her the names of the bloodline warriors participating in the review.

It was a kind of test, in a way.

Charlotte just wanted to see if, without being influenced by the list, the selections would be any different.

In addition, to further test, Charlotte even directly removed Yabaton's name from the list.

But when the final approved list came out, Charlotte still found Yabaton's name on it.

Badak explained that, although this demon warlock did not meet the Savior's requirements for trusted aides, Lord Haral specifically instructed that he had enough potential and loyalty to undergo bloodline awakening and could fully become a commander in the legion.

At this point, Charlotte realized that the history already occurred probably couldn't be changed.

In later generations, Yabaton became one of the three generations of bloodline who participated in the bloodline awakening, so, at this moment, he was bound to pass the selection.

Even if Charlotte tried all means to remove him, he would probably still find another way to become one of the second bloodline awakening members in the future.

Continually targeting him might result in a counterproductive effect.

Charlotte then decided not to obstruct him.

To be honest, she mainly wanted to test to see if history really couldn't be "changed."

The facts proved that destiny… was indeed mysterious.

When the review was over and the selected bloodline warriors' list was presented to Charlotte again, she found that besides Yabaton, the names she was familiar with were still on the list.

Even if she hadn't deliberately selected them.

With Yabaton's example beforehand, this did not surprise Charlotte.

But it still made her feel quite subtle.

Especially when she looked at those familiar faces in the crowd, her mood became even more subtle.

Duke Ron, Duke Yoroc, and even Elder Maxim from the Nais Clan, who was stripped of his bloodline power for betrayal in later generations, were among them.

Their appearances were mostly younger compared to their later selves, and their gaze appeared a bit more naïve than Charlotte remembered.

Of course, the most eye-catching were Femarol, who stood out in the crowd, and the two figures at the front of the array.

The former was conspicuous due to his height, making him stand out no matter where he stood.

The latter two were noticeable due to their names.

Stargazer Cosy, and… Blood Demon Duke Yabaton.

Among these nearly hundred third-generation bloodlines, twenty-seven had strength reaching the Silver Moon Peak, and Cosy, Yabaton, Ron, Yoroc, and Femarol were five of them.

As for the remaining twenty-two, a third were names Charlotte had heard before.

And for those she hadn't heard of, they were probably the bloodline who fell one after another in later generations and didn't survive to another era.

Charlotte didn't know how many of these people ultimately reached the level of the mythical, as many demigods in the bloodline didn't leave their names, but at least… Cosy and Yabaton certainly couldn't escape.

Thinking of this, Charlotte couldn't help but look at the two figures at the front again.

Cosy, and Yabaton.

Cosy was a skinny boy of sixteen or seventeen years old, with black hair and eyes, appearing quite shy and introverted, and when under review, he even blushed when meeting the gaze of Charlotte, such a breathtakingly beautiful "big sister."

Yabaton was a young man with two horns, a symbol of his demon bloodline, and unlike the chaotic evil blood demon cultists in Charlotte's impression from later times, he looked rather composed and had an unflappable demeanor during the review, showing none of the mania.

Unlike the inexperienced Cosy, Yabaton clearly bore more "stories," which Charlotte speculated had to do with his experiences becoming a demon warlock.

Like Femarol, Charlotte could feel the reverence and admiration toward the "Blood True Ancestor" from the two.

No, it should be said that for those who passed the screening and entered the final selection list of these bloodline warriors, loyalty and fervor were basic requirements.

Charlotte remained silent on the throne, and the bloodline warriors standing in the hall stayed obediently quiet, not daring to breathe loudly.

Ultimately, it was Badak on the side who couldn't stand the strange atmosphere anymore, prompting with a light cough:

"Savior, they are the final selected warriors, according to the plan, you are to bestow them with bloodline power next."

Bestow bloodline power, huh…

Charlotte's mood became more subtle.

Looking at the bloodline warriors below, who were nervous and uneasy yet carrying some anticipation and excitement, Charlotte strongly suspected that the Blood Holy Scripture had brought her to this time point precisely to establish a genuine connection with these future leaders of the bloodline.

At a certain moment, Charlotte even had a bold thought, wondering what if she directly removed those people who were bound to become trouble in later generations.

But she quickly dismissed this thought.

No matter what these bloodline warriors would become in the future, since they were able to pass the Free City State Alliance's review, it meant they were absolutely qualified in both potential and loyalty.

In this situation, Charlotte had no reason to remove them.

Of course, historical adjustment was also an important factor. With Yabaton's precedent, Charlotte could almost imagine that if she really took action, history would still undergo "correction."

So... stop thinking about "changing" history, instead of trying to change it, it's better to go with the flow and find a way to exploit the "loophole" of history.

With this thought, Charlotte looked at the bloodline warriors below.

She had decided, she would bestow these bloodline warriors with bloodline power according to historical arrangements, regardless of who they were, or whether they would become her enemies in the future.

But likewise, she would not let history dictate her actions. She wanted to seize this opportunity to thoroughly understand these future Bloodline leaders and, if possible, leave some "gifts" for her future self.

Thinking of this, Charlotte looked down at the Bloodline warriors below.

She invoked divine power, and a majestic aura suddenly rose.

Crimson light spread, her silver hair flew as she gazed down like a deity upon the world.

No...

At this moment, Charlotte was the "God"!

Golden-red pupils reflected the figures of the people, and a majestic yet melodious voice slowly rose in the hall:

"Are you... ready?"

"Ready! For the Free City State Alliance, for the victory in war!"

The Bloodline warriors spoke in unison.

Charlotte nodded:

"Very good, in that case, kneel."

Upon hearing this, all the Bloodline warriors bowed their heads, and kneeled on one knee before Charlotte.

Charlotte took a deep breath and gently raised her right hand.

Divine power transformed into a blade, cutting a fissure in her palm. The True Ancestor blood mingled with dense Bloodline Power slowly flowed out.

Charlotte looked down at the crowd and said clearly:

"In the name of the Bloodline Ancestor, I grant you the Bloodline Power, may you remain true to your hearts."

With these words, crimson light blossomed in her palm, and the scarlet True Ancestor blood slowly ascended.

At the same moment, the divine fire within Charlotte's chest also shone with crimson brilliance.

Mysterious, vast power spread through her body, soon melding with the scarlet True Ancestor blood.

This was Blood Divine Power, diluted by Charlotte.

Infused with Blood Divine Power, the scarlet, crystalline True Ancestor blood appeared even deeper.

Charlotte lightly flicked her fingers; the True Ancestor blood autonomously divided into a total of one hundred portions, then flew toward the hundred Bloodline warriors below.

Each portion of True Ancestor blood turned into a crystal-clear red blood sphere, emitting a faint glow, hovering in front of everyone.

The Bloodline warriors appeared excited.

They respectfully and fervently saluted Charlotte, then each swallowed their respective True Ancestor blood.

Crimson brilliance swiftly bloomed upon them, the dazzling light dyed the entire hall a brilliant scarlet.

In Charlotte's perception, she saw a hundred Bloodline warriors quickly absorbing the blood she granted.

In an instant, their aura surged.

Soon, those Bloodline warriors originally at Silver Moon Peak broke through their ranks, rising to Blazing Sun, becoming Blood Counts.

Those with lesser strength also ascended to Silver Moon Peak, just one step away from Blazing Sun.

However, the improvement in strength was secondary.

In Charlotte's perception, the aura of these hundred Bloodlines had clear distinctions from the others, including Badak.

More pure, more profound, it gave her an even stronger sense of closeness, though not as much as Lilith who had personally received her First Embrace, there was now a noticeable disparity from other Bloodlines.

This is the difference in Bloodline.

From today onward, the potential of these Bloodline warriors greatly exceeded that of other Bloodlines.

Silver Moon and Blazing Sun were no longer their limits; with time, they could all eventually reach legendary heights.

Perhaps... even higher levels.

Watching the Bloodline warriors breaking through one after another, Charlotte slowly retracted her divine power.

A slight dizziness emerged, and she almost didn't balance herself.

Bestowing Bloodline Power to a hundred Bloodlines at once was still too draining for her current state.

Of course, it didn't harm her core; she just needed rest to restore her depleted blood.

So... I suppose this means I've indirectly created future Bloodline Princes and many legendary figures?

Watching as the Bloodline warriors absorbed the blood, had their strength leap forward, and then fell into slumber, Charlotte mused inwardly.

Feeling the state of the crowd, she said to Badak at her side:

"Have someone guard them; they should be asleep for a day or two. I'm going to rest, and meanwhile, investigate the movements of the Evil Gods and prepare to set out."

Hearing Charlotte's words, Badak's heart stirred, and he said excitedly:

"Savior, are you preparing to launch a counterattack against those Evil God Churches?"

Charlotte nodded:

"After confronting them for so long, it's time to take the initiative."

This was not a spur-of-the-moment decision for Charlotte.

Having reviewed all the information, she knew the Free City State Alliance's bloodline awakening was meant for a counterattack.

When these Bloodline warriors wake, the City State Alliance's Extraordinary Power will be greatly bolstered, and as long as Charlotte can stall the opposing myth, other Bloodlines can use the magic tools and divine artifacts of the Elf Clan to advance the front.

This, too, aligned with Charlotte's purpose for crossing through this era: to capture the Old Gods and seize their power.
