The guards didn't even try to stop us.

They were just normal guards, so they knew the limits to their abilities.

In fact, we were moving faster than they could react and they weren't even able to follow us with their eyes.

So even if they wanted to act, it wasn't as if they would have been able to keep up with us.

That was why it was easy for us to break out of the room that we were being held in.

"That way!" Amy suddenly shouted while pointing down one corridor.

We headed that way without any hesitation and soon we reached another fork.

When we did, Amy just pointed in another direction.

With Amy leading the way, it didn't take us long to reach the entrance of the castle.

That was where the first fight happened.

Since this was the way out, as well as the only way in, it was only natural that this place would be heavily guarded. The strongest royal guards of the Deter Kingdom were assigned to guard this place to make sure that it was safe.

"Ooph!"

That was all this royal guard could say after collapsing to the ground.

The rest of the royal guards looked on in fear as they couldn't believe what they were seeing.

I didn't blame them since I had just knocked out this royal guard that came forward to stop us with a single punch. Even though he was wearing armour, that single punch went right through and knocked him out.

"What…Hero, what are you doing?" The leader of the royal guards asked in a confused voice that had a trace of fear in it.

It was impossible for them not to recognize us since we were the famous hero party and there were the elf ears that were out in full sight.

That was why they were confused when they saw me hitting the royal guard like this.

"Move out of the way and I won't do anything to you."

The leader of the royal guards revealed an ugly look when he heard this before saying, "Hero, what are you doing? There are demons out there, how can we open the gates like this? This place is safe, there's no need for you to worry."

As he reached out towards me, I simply grabbed his arm and then lifted him off the ground.

The leader of the royal guards wasn't a small person, but he couldn't resist at all as I lifted him and his heavy set of armour off the ground. The only look on his face was shock as he couldn't believe what was happening.

But I didn't hesitate at all as I threw him at the door.

When this happened, the other royal guards couldn't help moving out of the way.

With the force that I threw him at and the weight that the royal guard captain had, he slammed right through the door and it opened. In the end, there was a large hole that was left in the door.

All of the royal guards watched on in shock, but there wasn't a single one that came forward to do anything.

In fact, they were too scared to do anything.

This was a person that had easily lifted their leader with one arm and tossed him through the air like this. They definitely didn't want to mess with a terrifying person like this.

That was how we easily made our way through the gate.

"Where are the demons concentrated?" I asked Amy once we left the castle.

She pointed in a certain direction as soon as she heard this.

As the saintess, it was only natural that she would be sensitive to demonic energy like this.

That was why she was able to point us to where the biggest battlefield was.

"Provide cover fire while I push them back!"

I dashed at the hole in the city walls as soon as I said this.

Aragon didn't hesitate to pull out a bow and send several arrows flying into the sky.

With the way that they flew, it didn't seem like they were aimed at anything in particular.

But this wasn't the case as there were several demons that suddenly appeared over the wall.

The moment that they appeared over the wall, they were immediately hit with these arrows. They didn't even have a chance to process what happened before they were hit by these arrows head on.

"Move!" I shouted at the soldiers that were being pushed back by the demons.

They were shocked, but they moved out of instinct in the end.

Even the demons couldn't help taking a step back when they felt the pressure that came from me.

Once I was past the soldiers, I swung my sword in a single arc.

This sword cut through all of the demons that were in front of me. There was even smoke that came from the demons when this happened as they were purified by the light elemental energy of the hero's sword.

They just had no resistance at all to the power that the hero possessed.

With me leading the charge, the soldiers were able to reclaim the position where the hole in the wall was and quickly patch it up. It wasn't the perfect patch job, but it was enough to stop the demons from coming in.

"Thank…"

The soldiers didn't have a chance to thank me properly as I was already heading off in a different direction. As soon as I had taken care of this hole, I shouted to Amy to point out the next location.

"This is a bit easy, isn't it?"

Amy looked at Andrea after she said this before saying with a sigh, "It's all because of the two of them. We aren't able to do anything at all…"

As for the two that she was referring to, it was Gran Jurad the hero who led the charge and Aragon the high elf who covered him as he charged at the demons.
