Void Cultivation

Chapter 88- Pocket Dimension (4)

Grey felt as if his entire body was being torn through space. His entire body and his magic ship started distorting as though they were sucked into space. His entire person was bent and crooked. His magic ship creaked and groaned as if under some pressure.

With great difficulty, Grey spread out his perception under the black sea water and saw the slender youth suffering the same fate as him.

Very soon, the feeling stopped and Grey felt he was back to normal. But when he regained his vision, he saw himself drifting forward as if pulled by a strange force through a dark tunnel lighted up by distant stars.

Grey's expression changed! A feeling of timelessness and absence of corrosive substance quickly left him in shock.

But his passing through the dark tunnel was quick and soon he saw a light at the end of the tunnel.

When his Magic ship was ejected out, Grey quickly wanted to take his magic ship away, but the sound of water being displaced made him pause.

His magic ship soon followed and landed on a large and boundless ever flowing river.

A little disoriented, Grey spread out his perception as his eyes quickly adjusted to the presence of light.

Grey saw himself on a large and boundless body of water. There was no source of light and the oppressive hand of God that he was used to was not here.

Instead, what occupied the sky was land that covered the entire Sky. And there were many mountain peaks that pointed downwards towards the boundless body of water.

Snow fell from the insurmountable mountain peaks and turned into droplets of water.

He also felt the presence of plentiful Celestial Qi and Cold yin Qi that stimulated the circulation of his energy base within him.

The amount of energies he felt here was much more than the small traces he had felt at first when the Vortex was opened.

Grey heard a sound and looked down to see the slender youth still piloting his submarine. But soon, his magic ship unfolded and burst out of the water again.

Seeing this, Grey lightly shook his hand and poison pills fell Into the water. He also activated his Divine attacks in case he felt threatened by the slender youth.

The slender youth paused when he saw his current actions. He was even more shocked when he did not try to keep it a secret.

"We are in the third Pocket Dimension connected to the Second Continent." The slender youth took the initiative to talk this time. He looked at Grey but when Grey kept silent, he continued. "This pocket dimension has only been explored four times. It lacks the source of sunlight like the sun but produces artificial light in between the two summits-" The slender youth pointed at the tallest upside down mountain peak.

"-the natives of this Dimension are especially strong. What we are on now is called the boundless river, and the endless land above was named the everlasting Continent. The creatures we may encounter here will be powerful sea dwellers." The slender youth paused before he continued.

"I suggest we partner up. With your strength and decisiveness, you will surely be among the ones to return-" The slender youth began but was cut short by Grey.

"No." Grey's response was short before he began to steer his ship away from the slender youth's without batting an eye.

The slender youth was first stunned. He never expected for Grey to reject his offer so directly before even giving him the opportunity to finish. There was sharp glint that appeared in his eyes as he watched Grey go but ultimately didn't do anything.

He was afraid of the Divine attacks he could release if be was provoked. Not only that, even without the Divine attacks, he felt that Grey had the power to threaten him. Which was strange because no one in the Qi accumulation realm had been able to threaten him for a long time.

Only Foundation Establishment warriors were capable of fazing him. So in the end, he watched Grey leave with a small sigh.

Shortly after, his expression behind the mask changed and be hurriedly spat out a mouthful of black blood. He instantly brought out medicinal pills and stuffed them into his mouth.

Only after several minutes did the feeling of death by poisoning leave him.

"Damn! This fellow is really heartless. He even spread out poison earlier." If not for the fear the poisoning had inflicted on him, he would have likely chased after Grey for revenge.

***

Some distance away, Grey sighed with emotion when the slender youth did not suddenly chase after him. 'I guess I'll have a chance to snatch his belongings later...' Grey said with disappointment but did not slow down.

When he looked behind him, he could not see the Vortex they appeared from, only clear blue water in sight.

He made a guess that the Vortex teleported people to random places in the pocket dimension. The only reason why Grey and the Slender youth arrived in the same place was because they entered the Vortex at the same time and same place.

One entered the Vortex from above the black sea water, while the other entered from below.

As for the reason why he protected the Slender youth when he wasn't forced to was because the slender youth had given him some information about pocket dimensions some days ago.

In his heart, he had been grateful and promised to make it up to him whenever he can. So as he saw the slender youth who was nearly struck by the blast of spirit energy, even though it wouldn't kill him as he was just a step from Foundation Establishment, he decided to help.

And now, he no longer felt like he owed him a favour. He had repaid his debt in full and would treat the slender youth just like he would treat other cultivators. With cold indifference and ruthlessness!
