And just like that, streams of magic ships suddenly entered the calm pocket dimension. Cultivators being chased found their chaser no where in sight. Many appeared in the boundless river, and many also found themselves on the everlasting Continent.
Grey was sitting silently with his perception spread out and his cultivation base circulating when he suddenly felt the calm waters surge.
A huge shark head over ten meters long suddenly appeared from the water! Large amounts of water was displaced as the shark swam towards Grey with stunning speed.
A large amount of Celestial Qi was radiating from the shark at this moment. Grey who had stood up at one point creased his brows. But his gaze soon turned decisive as his eyes seemed to glean with a purple coldness.
The approaching shark paused and shuddered as if it had been dealt a mental attack! Well, it had. Grey had used Dragon eyes!
Without a change in emotion, he raised his straightened hand up and a dark gold aura exploded out from his body. The aura was soon followed by a mysterious purple that subdued the wild dark gold aura.
An illusionary sword appeared in Grey's hand at the same time a ten meter long purple illusionary sword appeared over his head. Without hesitation, he chose to slash down.
The shark met the purple sword light that directly, but strangely, instead of blood and flesh like he was expecting, Grey saw the shark only suffer minor injuries before it proceeded with it's charge. Grey's attack had stirred it from it's mental attack.
Grey's pupils dilated! The shark had taken his purple sword attack head one. He knew how powerful that attack was. Even early stages of Foundation Establishment would be wary of his attack, yet the shark had taken it on directly and only came out with slight injuries.
Without a second thought, Grey decided to flee!
'If this thing can take my attacks head on, it must at least be in the middle stages of Foundation Establishment! What the heck, it's only been a few hours and I've already encountered such a powerhouse!' Grey lamented inwardly.
His magic ship had already been turned around and speeding away from the shark as fast as it could. Grey had even diverted the power used to conjure the spirit energy barrier to increase it's speed.
He was truly taking no chances. The shark semed Infuriated that Grey tried to run after attacking it and made a loud noise nder the water that made Grey shudder. His magic ship shifted and blood came out from his mouth.
Biting back the pain, Grey only diverted more energy to increase his magic ship's speed.
"Luckily, this creature's intelligence is not as high as it's Cultivation base if not I'd be dead as soon it set it's eye on me." Grey said as he watched the shark growl under the water to show it's displeasure.
The few times that it brought it's head out of the water allowed Grey to see it's fury muddled eyes.
But Grey did not stop for even one second. The shark kept releasing some strange sound under the water and every time it did, Grey would cough out a mouthful of blood while his face visibly paled.
This chase continued for six days until the shark finally gave up and stopped chasing Grey. But Grey did not stop immediately, he kept running for the entire night and only when he did not see the shark anymore did he release his guard and sit down silently to heal.
His face was pale and his entire body was sapped of energy. He immediately closed his eyes and entered a meditative state. The circulation of the two energies in his body cane naturally.
Celestial energy was just like spirit energy, only that it was in a much purer form. Corrosive substance also existed in this pocket dimension but it's density was much less dense. But Grey was not sure if that would be the same for the land above his head.
Grey also noticed a particular oddity. When it was nighttime, the source of light at night was the stars in between the land above and the waters below. Grey did not know how that was possible but decided to not think about it anymore.
His internals were bleeding and every minute or so, blood would seep out from the side of his mouth. His face was so pale and emaciated tat you would think he had not been fed for several weeks.
Well, that was the lack of spirit energy-, well in this case, Celestial energy in his body. Throughout the chase, he had constantly been supplying his magic ship energy when his spirit stones ran low.
Unlike a cultivator, magic ships could not use another form of energy apart from spirit stones energy, or the energy from it's owner Cultivation. During the chase, he found out that his body would process the Celestial Qi and turn it into a higher form of spirit energy.
The result was his cultivation speed skyrocketing! Grey felt that very soon he could break through to the eigth level of Qi accumulation much sooner than he expected.
His cold yin core had also received a breakthrough as well and he was now in the fifth level of the Forbidden Monarch art. But because he has not had the time to study more techniques he could use with the Forbidden Monarch art, he could not use it to combat the shark alongside his spirit energy driven Sky Mist art.
"Cultivation is truly not easy... We are facing threats from monsters, Divine creatures, and even God." Grey said softly with a wry smile on his face.
With a small sigh, he checked his Jade slip after his cultivation base stabilised, but expectedly, he couldn't connect with the outside world.
