Bastards Ascension: A Playground of Gods

Chapter 113: Ancient Demigod

{You have earned a new Divinity}

↑Beastly Weapon

Kieran felt a surge of energy fill his body.

He closed his eyes, mesmerized by the strange feeling.

In his consciousness, he could see it—

Two disc-shaped blades.

Their sharp bladed edges burned with bright, hot flames.

The two blades orbited around each other like mini suns.

Just looking at the weapon, the name appeared in his mind.

{Sunfang Chakrams}

He could quickly tell that these weapons were fashioned from Alexa!

He could sense the immense power within the two blades.

They spiraled in his consciousness as though alive.

Kieran was mesmerized by the dance of the two disc-shaped blades, but he pulled himself out of his trance.

Slowly opening his eyes.

Castan looked at him with a small smile.

He coughed, blood seeping from the side of his lips.

Kieran felt a bit of panic as he moved closer to help him.

Castan planted his hand into the earth, keeping himself steady.

He turned to Alexa and Bethar, who were now close to the two of them.

"I'm really sorry for the trouble I caused," Castan said, a trail of tears dropping from his eyes.

Just then, he felt soft hands wipe off the drop of tears.

He instantly turned his eyes to the new figure.

He could see Mira, looking straight into his eyes.

"I'm sorry, brother! I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me the most!" Mira shouted, her eyes breaking into tears.

She wailed as she wrapped him in a tight hug.

Castan hung startled for a moment.

Slowly, a smile graced his face as he hugged back.

"I'm the one who should be sorry... See the mess I've caused," Castan said, looking around them.

A lot of people had been injured badly from the onslaught of his attacks.

A few had even lost their lives.

If it weren't for Bethar's abilities,

Many more would've been lost.

While the group was still recovering from the aftermath of the battle—

"ROARRRRR!"

A loud roar echoed through the air.

Their heads instantly snapped toward the source of the sound.

A large monstrous figure towered over the trees on the hilltop.

Two large tails wagged behind her gracious figure.

Her hazel-colored divine eyes burned with fury.

And her beautiful white silvery fur danced under the wind.

As she fully transformed, she stared down at the figure before her.

Kim stood unfazed by the sheer size of the figure before him.

While it was a divine beast,

It would definitely still have a hard time dealing with him.

With a furious stomp of her feet on the ground,

Large metallic spikes tore through the earth like soft bread.

Kim instantly activated his ability around himself and all his companions.

The dense metallic spikes made his shield shudder,

But they weren't enough to shatter it completely.

'With size like this, it'll be impossible for me to create a shield that can completely shroud her... My mana won't be enough.' Kim's face went grim from the thought.

"Free me."

While he was still in his thoughts, he heard the voice from his side.

It was Galand.

His breath was ragged.

He looked worn out and knelt on one knee.

"You should rest. You've already done enough," Kim advised.

"You don't have enough mana to hold her with how large she's become... With my gravity power, I'll be able to land a devastating hit with her size like this," Galand forced himself, his knee buckling slightly.

He grunted, gritting his teeth as he stood tall.

He clenched his blade tightly in his right hand.

His eyes burned with bright determination and rage.

"...And besides, I have unfinished business with her..." Galand added as he stood tall, readying his sword.

Kim could see the determined look in his eyes, and he could only let out a defeated sigh.

"Please, do try to stay alive... I don't know if I'll be able to protect you if she manages to send an unexpected attack," he warned, still against the idea.

"Don't worry about me... I will be alright." Galand's voice remained steady, unwavering.

Kim dodged another sharp claw that was shot straight at them.

Effortlessly moving the shield out of the way.

While it was a powerful shield, testing its durability against a divine beast wasn't the best idea.

After moving them a safe distance from the raging beast,

Kim raised the shield around Galand.

"Reinforcement will be here in a few minutes... I rushed in after seeing you dive in. Please try to keep orders next time," Kim said with a wry smile.

"You know, I don't take orders from just anybody, but for your help today... If I succeed, then I'll take one order from you," Galand said as the shield came off.

He shifted his gaze to the second shield by Kim's side—Vesha was still unconscious.

He gritted his teeth.

Refocusing his gaze on Mevira.

The large fox glared at him with anger in her eyes.

In a blur, he dashed forward.

The sheer momentum made the earth cave in, creating a crater from the impact.

He shot off like a rocket.

Mavira controlled the elements.

Metallic rods rose to attack the figure that was blasting straight for her.

But as the metallic rods reached him, the field around him made the rods collapse on themselves.

As he moved, a distinct spark of purple hurled around him.

A gravitational field that pushed all the metallic rods away from him.

Mavira stared in shock as the distance between them was covered in a mere second.

Galand held his blade high up above her head.

Coming down upon her like Hercules.

His muscles bulged, the purple energy crackled around his large blade that looked twice his height.

Mavira looked at the attack in panic, something within her...

A primal fear—instincts.

Every part of her body warned her to avoid the attack.

And it wasn't like she didn't.

Seeing the strange attack heading for her, she acted immediately.

Several metallic rods rose to protect her.

Covering her like a cocoon, but before it could completely close up, she could see Galand descending upon her like lightning from the heavens.

"Demigod Porphyrion! Lend me your strength!"

His voice echoed with divine language.

A language Mavira had long since forgotten what it sounded like.

Deep fear welled from the depths of her heart.

Galand's eyes shone brightly with purple energy.

And she could see the mirage behind him.

It was unmistakable—the giant that stood behind him.

'Porphyrion? How?... How can this human summon the power of an ancient demigod?'

She thought in wonder, but it was too late.

The meteor crashed.

~BOOOM!
