A thunderous boom echoed through the entire space.
The world shuddered.
As though another planet collided with theirs.
The elements in the air became disoriented.
And a strange energy filled the air.
It was filled with life, yet there was something strange about this energy.
The mana in the air became a hundred times denser.
Sparks of lightning went off in all directions.
And the air swirled into a large tornado.
The power of life, the power of creation.
Aetheris.
A power used only by the divine.
While at its core it was used for creation,
It was also a source of destruction.
The destruction it caused was in complete balance with the things it could create.
A power that could level planets and flatten landscapes.
That was what they were all witnessing at full scale.
The others couldn't fathom the origin of the power that had been displayed before them.
But those who did could instantly tell what it was.
Alexa and Bethar shuddered from the intensity of the power they had witnessed.
They couldn't help but pity Mavira.
Even Kieran could feel the Aetheris in the air, and it made him wonder who had summoned such power.
Castan frowned, "How can someone summon the power of a true demigod? Do they want to destroy our world?"
His question immediately dragged the attention of Alexa and Bethar.
"An ancient demigod? Is there anyone in this plane that can summon such power?" Alexa asked, utterly shocked by the display of power.
For the first time, the ancient beast Bethar spoke.
Her voice was filled with ancient wisdom.
"It seems your cycle of rebirth has dulled your senses... Indeed, that is the power of an ancient demigod. But whoever used that power must have sacrificed a lot of their life Aetheris to use it," Bethar said, looking in the distance.
Castan turned to Kieran, "Who did you bring with you?"
He asked with a worried look on his face.
Even he had to be careful when borrowing power from his dead father.
Someone who had the guts to borrow power from an ancient demigod had to be crazy.
"And here I was planning to ask you the same question..." Kieran said with an awkward smile.
Kieran could see the look of fear in Castan's eyes.
To be honest, even he was scared after witnessing the scene.
And even now he was still scared, because he didn't know who the heck that was!
Had they somehow annoyed some ancient being?
Or had they mistakenly freed Sun Wukong during their fierce battle?
He didn't know, but having someone like that out on the loose was dangerous.
"I just hope he's not an enemy," Kieran said with a tired sigh.
"Same," Castan replied, still unable to keep his gaze away from the destruction that lay bare before his eyes.
"Well, if it's an enemy, I'm afraid I won't be able to hold back anymore," Alexa's voice came from the side.
Kieran instantly turned to look at Alexa.
'Hold back?! What the hell does she mean by that?'
Castan let out a light chuckle, "I knew it all along... You've changed a lot—no, that man changed you."
Alexa glanced at Castan from the side of her eyes.
"You never used your full power, because you didn't want to harm the people." Castan's voice carried a hint of sadness as he realized how much of a tyrant he had been.
He knew that was Alexa's weakness and wanted to leverage it.
At the detriment of his own people.
His thought was disrupted by the gentle touch on his chin.
He looked up at Mira, a gentle sigh escaping his lips.
"Well, it's a good thing. We don't want our world turning into a world of flames," Castan added with an awkward laugh.
Kieran flinched.
'You have to be kidding! She was holding back all along?!!'
"How strong are you?" Kieran couldn't help but ask.
"I'm a divine beast. What do you take us for? At my prime, I occupied a whole planet alone," Alexa said with a confident smirk,
Crossing her hands over her chest.
'I'm sure you'll be surprised... hehehe,' Alexa thought. She could imagine Kieran praising her.
"I'm not surprised. With how much of a loner you are, it was expected," Kieran said with a poker face.
His words instantly shattered her imagination.
Castan's laugh followed along with Mira's.
"But on a serious note, what was that—or better to ask, who was that?" Kieran asked, the air thickening with tension as they all turned back to look at the destruction.
The hilltop was flattened.
The trees were cleared.
It was a complete massacre.
And amidst the carnage,
A fox lay in the middle unconscious.
At the last moment, realizing just what Galand had brought upon her,
She quickly used all the Aetheris in her reserves to strengthen the metallic foil she was building around her to match the force.
But unfortunately, even that wasn't enough to hold back the strength of the ancient demigod that was unleashed on her.
Fortunately, thanks to that, she had merely survived the onslaught.
Leaving her with bruises all over her body.
And a gush of divine blood flowing from under her body.
By her side, a small figure could be seen.
He was kneeling.
His sword, too heavy to lift in this state, was by his side.
His hair sprawled over his face.
He was unable to move an inch.
And the pendant on his neck shattered into shards.
He looked as though he had aged considerably after using that attack.
Most parts of his hair had turned grey.
That was the amount of strength it would take to actually kill a divine beast.
And this wasn't even the strongest among them.
"...And the legends in the temple say that a man controlled more than a hundred beasts of this kind? And he also had their powers? Terrifying... Truly terrifying..."
Galand thought to himself as he felt his energy seep away.
The spirit that he had summoned seemed to have interest in his words.
Its ancient voice boomed through his mind.
'...Is it Typhoon you speak of? Truly, that bastard was a menace... But he has too many enemies. Perhaps, you should warn him... They will come.'
Galand was surprised. This was the first time a summoned spirit was speaking.
'That man truly got a lot of attention.' Galand couldn't fathom the kind of strength the man in question had.
But what confused him was—
"Warn him? Isn't he dead?"
'Sometimes, strength can become a curse... I've spent too much time here. If I stay for much longer, you'll die... Warn Typhoon, the hunt has begun. We'll be watching from here'
