Once again, at the stroke of midnight, Raizel delved into the depths of Rovon Wilderness.
And so began a hunt unlike any other.
Now that he possessed near-inexhaustible stamina thanks to the Convergence Spear, he could battle endlessly, pushing himself to the limit. His movements were fluid, his breathing steady—each swing and thrust of his spear was a dance between precision and raw power.
Under the silver light of the moon, the hunt continued unabated.
One by one, monsters and magical beasts fell before him. Blood splashed across rocks and trees, vanishing quickly into the wilderness floor as though the land itself acknowledged his strength.
With his intelligence increased, Raizel's perception had sharpened considerably. Even in the darkness where most couldn't see beyond a few steps, his vision pierced through the shadows like a hawk's, revealing every lurking threat, every twitch of danger.
Everything was going smoothly—until Raizel made a discovery that left him stunned.
During one of the fights, while dispatching a pack of Stoneback Wolves, his Convergence Spear clashed against a discarded rusted sword on the ground. To his shock, the weapon was drawn into the spear, merging into its glowing shaft like water vanishing into sand.
Raizel stared wide-eyed.
Not only had the Convergence Spear absorbed the other weapon, but its condition visibly improved—nicks smoothed out, its aura pulsing stronger than before.
Realizing what this meant, Raizel immediately tested the function again. He unearthed every worn-out blade and broken axe he had in his inventory, feeding them one by one to the spear.
Each time, the weapon hummed with energy, as if alive—healing, evolving.
He couldn't help but get excited.
"If absorbing weapons can upgrade it like this… what other abilities might it gain?" he whispered to himself, eyes gleaming with curiosity.
The thought sent a thrill through him. The stamina-boosting feature was already game-changing. If it could gain more enhancements—like elemental effects or increased magic resistance—then the Convergence Spear might one day rival legendary weapons.
But there was a problem.
He had run out of weapons to feed it.
With a deep sigh, Raizel made a mental note: Find more weapons—broken, rusted, abandoned. Anything.
So he continued his hunt, but this time, with an extra eye on the ground—searching for any hint of discarded gear from adventurers.
Time passed, and the occasional howls and growls of monsters filled the night air, echoing eerily through the trees.
Some distance away, adventurers camping around fires shivered despite the warmth.
"Oh Lord… what's happening to those monsters tonight?" one of them murmured, peering into the forest nervously.
"Yeah... something feels off," said another. "They're way more agitated than usual. It's like... the wilderness itself is in chaos."
None of them knew the truth—that a single crimson-eyed hunter was waging a one-man war deep within the shadows, driving beast and terror alike before him.
Raizel, unaffected by fatigue, pressed onward—his spear gleaming with each kill.
---
Raizel's boots splashed against wet grass and cracked twigs underfoot as he emerged into a clearing illuminated by pale moonlight. His breathing was steady, not out of exhaustion but sheer focus. The hunt had been fruitful—his body sharper, his movements more refined. With every fallen beast, he felt a piece of himself evolve, becoming something greater.
A sudden flicker appeared in his vision—system notification.
[ You have leveled up. Level 15 → Level 16 ]

[ Attribute Points +15 ]
Raizel narrowed his crimson eyes, reading the notification silently. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He had been waiting for this. With a flick of his fingers, he opened his stats and began distributing points. More into Strength and Agility, then on Intelligence. The former for physical strength, the latter for heightened perception. He needed to see faster. Think faster.

But as he closed the window, a strange shift in the air tugged at his senses.
Lightning crackled faintly in the distance, but the sky was clear. No clouds. No storm.
Yet his instincts screamed danger.
A low rumble shivered through the trees. The hairs on his neck rose as static buzzed at the edge of his awareness. Then—boom!
Something crashed nearby, shaking the earth. Trees splintered. Birds scattered. Raizel shot toward the sound, leaping across boulders and roots with blinding speed.
In the next clearing, the source of the chaos revealed itself.
A beast—majestic and terrifying—stood atop a broken tree trunk, wings tucked, tail flicking with agitation. Its sapphire-blue scales shimmered under the moonlight like polished gemstones. Horns curved backward from its skull, and blue sparks danced across its claws.
[ Baby Thunder Wyvern ]
[Level: 20 ]
[ Status: Agitated, Injured]
[ Threat Level: High ]
A rare beast.
Raizel's pupils contracted. "What's something this rare doing so close to the outer zone?"
The wyvern turned its head, locking eyes with him. A surge of static rippled through the air.
GRRAAAARHHH!
It screeched—a thunderous cry that echoed for miles—then lunged.
Raizel dodged just in time, but not without feeling the surge of energy scrape past his shoulder. The Wyvern landed behind him, the ground cracking under its weight.
Fast. Much faster than anything he'd fought so far.
Raizel spun, thrusting the Convergence Spear toward its side. Sparks exploded on impact. The spear dug in—but not deep enough. The scales were tougher than steel.
The wyvern roared again and twisted its neck, jaws glowing with electricity. Raizel's instincts kicked in—he dove to the side as a bolt of raw lightning exploded where he'd just stood.
Dust and debris erupted into the air.
Raizel rolled, coughed, and leapt to his feet, adrenaline pounding through his veins.
"This is bad," he muttered. "If that had hit directly... I'd be ashes."
But despite the danger, a grin spread across his face.
A true challenge.
The wyvern charged again, this time slashing with electrified claws. Raizel countered with a spinning sweep of his spear, deflecting the strike, then lunged for its throat—but the beast reared back, wings unfolding.
It took to the sky in a burst of wind.
"No, you don't," Raizel growled, and with a powerful leap enhanced by agility, he hurled his spear skyward.
The spear soared like a missile, striking the wyvern's side mid-air. The weapon didn't pierce, but the impact knocked the beast off balance.
It crashed to the ground with a pained screech, flailing. Raizel dashed forward and retrieved his spear, then used its pole to vault above the wyvern's tail swipe, landing square on its back.
The beast bucked wildly, electricity crackling over its body.
Pain surged through Raizel's limbs as sparks shot up from contact, but he gritted his teeth and held on. He drove the spear down at the base of the neck—where scales were thinner.
The blade pierced.
The wyvern screamed.
It thrashed, rolled, wings flapping, throwing Raizel off into a tree. He hit the trunk hard, breath knocked out of him. Blood dripped from his forehead.
But he forced himself up, staggering.
The wyvern was injured now, blood pouring from its neck. Its movements grew sluggish. Yet its eyes burned with fury.
It opened its maw, electricity gathering between its jaws.
The final blast.
Raizel steadied himself. He had one shot.
He raised the Convergence Spear. "Let's end this."
As the bolt launched toward him, Raizel activated Nullifying Strike, surging forward faster than the eye could follow. The lightning bolt was reduced to nothingness.
In that moment of evasion, he twisted mid-air and hurled his spear like a harpoon—
It flew true.
"Puchi!"
The spear struck the beast's open mouth and pierced through, exiting from the back of its skull.
The wyvern's body froze mid-roar.
Then collapsed.
Silence returned to the forest.
Raizel dropped to his knees, breathing ragged. His vision blurred for a moment, and his limbs trembled. The fight had drained him more than he expected.
He slowly approached the wyvern's corpse, retrieving his blood-stained spear.
A soft hum pulsed through it.
Then, unexpectedly—ding!
The Convergence Spear has absorbed rare energy: Thunder Core Fragment.
[ Stamina Absorption ability upgraded to: Attribute Absorption ]
Raizel's eyes widened.
"This is impossible. H-how?" He questioned himself unable to belive his eyes.
The spear's glow intensified, veins of blue lightning now coursing along its shaft like living energy. It felt heavier—denser—but more powerful. When he gripped it again, the flow of energy into his body changed. It wasn't just stamina now.
Strength, Agility, Intelligence.
All three attributes could now be absorbed—even if just slightly.
And that was what made it mind-boggling.
If the spear could truly do what it claimed, wouldn't it be game-changing?
Regardless, he had to test it.
He thrust the spear into the body of the wyvern once again and activated the new ability.
And then, the next scene blew his mind away.
