Dimensional Hotel

Chapter 228: Making an Even Bigger Scene

Yes, when Hu Li Fox causes a scene, the commotion is tremendous.

Just imagine, a Nine-Tailed Demon Fox as big as a house, body ablaze with Fox Fire, surrounded by a heap of Fox Travel Cannons, launching a round of saturation fire every now and then, rampaging joyfully through the forest, rolling, biting, with a single chomp creating a half-meter deep pit in the ground; whether it's a centuries-old tree or a thousand-year-old rock, everything makes a crunching sound once in her mouth, and the Evil Wolves that charge at her explode into a pulp under her sharp teeth and claws...

Such a gigantic White Fox, especially when she's well-fed, the destruction she can cause is simply beyond imagination.

Rolling alone in front of the line, she nearly carves out a path by herself — if it weren't for the endless Wolf Pack generated within the Black Forest, Yu Sheng would even suspect that this Cyber Fox Deity could single-handedly breakthrough the area.

But the problem lies in the fact that the Wolf Pack generated within the Black Forest is endless.

And Hu Li can only deal with the monsters around her.

Luckily, besides the Cyber Fox Deity, Yu Sheng also had Little Red Riding Hood's Wolf Pack by his side.

The real Wolf Pack.

The number of Shadow Wolves emerging from the shadows was countless. Under Little Red Riding Hood's command, they formed a wave-like, surging formation, fiercely clashing with the Evil Wolves that constantly emerged from the forest. The gaps opened by Hu Li were quickly reinforced by Little Red Riding Hood's Wolf Pack, then used as a foundation to push forward. Although the enemy was endless, Yu Sheng's party was drawing closer and closer to the "rift."

A massive "Evil Wolf" fell with a howl under the bombardment of three Fox Radish Missiles. Amidst the rising dust and the bizarrely burning Fox Fire, Yu Sheng saw that eerie rift standing several hundred meters ahead — its interior was pitch-black like a hollow nightmare, with edges that were fragmented and trembling unpredictably in the air. Some small, tentacle-like structures had extended out from the rift's edge at some point, swaying grotesquely in the air, as if sensing something.

Yu Sheng sensed the presence of Anka Aela — and he knew that she also "saw" him.

"Almost there!" he suddenly shouted loudly.

The ground rumbled as a gigantic Silver White Demon Fox dashed towards them. Hu Li gleefully swung her tails while knocking away all the blocking Evil Wolves: "Savior! Am I amazing or what!"

Yu Sheng was momentarily speechless, but he still smilingly reached out to pet Hu Li's chin: "Yes, yes, very amazing!"

Hu Li was very pleased and joyfully charged back into the wolf pack, engaging in a fierce battle with a giant wolf that had suddenly appeared, almost matching her size.

However, at that moment, a strong sense of unease and oppression suddenly surged in Yu Sheng's heart. He almost immediately lifted his head, following his instinct to look towards the top of the rift.

A shadow covered with countless eyes, almost piercing the sky, emerged from the top of the rift, like a majestic overseer, slowly sweeping across the sky tinged with twilight glow.

Under the gaze of this shadow, the forest fire ignited by Fox Fire instantly died out, the roads plowed through the forest rapidly healed, and the killed Evil Wolves began to resurrect.

Wolf Grandmother also appeared, those tall, thin, terrifying figures emerging from the depths of the wolf pack — more than one.

Yu Sheng almost immediately noticed that the Wolf Pack summoned by Little Red Riding Hood was retreating, and with the fading of the Fox Fire, many gaps instantly appeared in the previously stable battle line.

The squirrel in Erin's arms let out a sharp squeak.

"Anka Aela is here!!"

Little Red Riding Hood, riding on a wolf's back, reached Yu Sheng's side. She struggled to control her fear of Wolf Grandmother, looking up at the sky's shadow with a trembling voice, "What... what is that?!"

"You can see it?" Yu Sheng was slightly surprised, but he quickly understood and said solemnly, "That's Anka Aela... probably just a part of her."

He paused, taking a gentle breath, his expression serious: "Sure enough, after getting close to this rift, this thing has to take action personally."

Before he finished speaking, the wolf pack around them launched a new round of attacks, and the shadow slowly sweeping across the sky also seemed to "awaken" from some sort of half-slumber state, beginning to descend slowly. The noise emanating from the shadow was almost enough to pierce through one's mind, with immense hostility that felt almost tangible — and then, the real attack began.

The Black Forest started to "come alive."

The towering giant trees, the dense shrubs, the boulders within the forest, even every inch of soil, every stream, every flower... all began to grow wildly, morphing, sprouting creaking limbs and countless blinking eyes.

Even not far away, Hu Li found herself caught in a tough battle.

Anka Aela whispered in the nightmare, this "Angel" was redefining the nightmare.

"Yu Sheng! Think of something!" Little Red Riding Hood instinctively cried out. Seeing the stones at her feet start to roll and form various horrifying limbs, a shiver ran down her spine, "We can't win this way!"

Yu Sheng just turned to glance at the little puppet on his shoulder: "Erin, it's about time."

"Now?" Erin widened her eyes, "Are you sure — I haven't finished 'connecting' everyone yet..."

"A part of it will be enough," Yu Sheng slowly closed his eyes. "We don't have to defeat Anka Aela—we can't win. You can't win against the dreamer in someone else's dream…"

As he spoke, he slowly stretched out his hand. Although his eyes remained closed, he could clearly "see" that massive shadow in the sky, see that Dark Angel Anka Aela casting its "self-symbol" in its nightmare.

"But we can try to destroy this dream—to the maximum extent, with the highest intensity, destroying the entire 'Fairy Tales' sub-structure."

Threads of black silk appeared in the air, and a chilling aura burrowed into his flesh and mind. Yu Sheng felt Erin's voice murmuring in his head: "Alright, alright, if you say it's enough…"

The black spider silk, like living hair, spread out from Erin's side, threading into Yu Sheng's body one by one, then extended from his hand, spreading through the entire Black Forest.

Despite having "cooperated" more than once, Yu Sheng still felt an extraordinary chill when the spider silk penetrated his body. This strange, evil feeling was especially uncontrollable when he saw Erin's blurry figure and scarlet eyes within the woven illusion.

However, Yu Sheng still felt a sense of familiarity and solidity from those cold threads. He could feel the little puppet cooperating with him, feel that the other had unconditionally relinquished control of those threads, allowing him to weave these dream-piercing threads into a form he was more familiar with—like a door.

Yu Sheng imagined the shape of that door.

The principle was similar to the first time he and Erin cooperated to open the teleportation gate to the Black Forest.

But it was immensely huge.

It was boundless.

It was like a mirror, the whole Black Forest reflected in the mirror's scenery.

It was also very small, very concrete, very… precisely connecting one stage to another.

With his eyes closed, Yu Sheng, for a brief moment, saw through Erin's perception the current situation in the Sanctuary Wilderness—

Those children and "parents" who fell into the wilderness after losing in the sub-structure had been gathered together, encircling the grassland.

They seemed to be in a deep sleep, each entangled in black threads.

The threads pierced into their dreams, shuttling through all the sub-structures.

The doors were taking shape.

They were the Magic Mirror of the Evil Queen, the doors to the hall of the Eternal Ball. They were the cabin the mermaid hid in after coming ashore, a window illuminated by fire sticks on a cold winter night, the giant's doorway seen when Jack climbed the beanstalk, the castle entrance deep in Sleeping Beauty's thicket…

Yu Sheng thought, there was a door.

A door is a passage from one place to another, separating what was once connected, and connecting what was once separated—a door is the overlap of access and blockade.

And he was the collapser.

Now, the doorknob turned.

Little Red Riding Hood stared in astonishment at Yu Sheng. She didn't know what had happened, only that countless black threads had spread out from Yu Sheng and Erin, then they stood motionless.

Each subsequent second felt as long as a year.

Because the entire Black Forest was quickly turning hostile, everything here was coming to life—it was no longer the forest she knew, where Little Red Riding Hood visited her grandmother.

Then she heard the sound of the doorknob turning.

She couldn't see where the door was, but the click of the turning knob was audible in the void. She couldn't see what had opened, but she distinctly heard the creaking sound of the entire "world."

The towering trees nearby roared to life, their trunks displaying horrifying and twisted faces. Giant wolves leaped out of the bushes, their claws and fangs gleaming with malice as they glowed with a blood-red hue. The Shadow Wolves guarding the area were retreating step by step, even the vines and rocks obstructing their path—yet in the next instant, the balance was shattered by a piercing sound from the sky.

Under the twilight sky, bright flames swept across the forest canopy. Beautiful streaks of light, like fireflies, fell from the clouds. Little Red Riding Hood's eyes widened, reflecting those rapidly enlarging flames, then she saw the forest ignite, an inferno rising fiercely, spreading like a conscious being through the living giant trees.

"White phosphorus bombs… Fire sticks?!"

Little Red Riding Hood finally recognized something from the spreading fire. She exclaimed in surprise and confusion, instinctively looking up.

The Thunderbolt Titans jumped down with aerial bombs from a falling giant dragon.
