Grades:

White

Red

Orange

Yellow

Green

Blue

Black

There are two class levels for each grade (except for white which has three). People aren't really considered to be 'On the Rainbow' until they achieve their first red class, and you haven't demonstrated your drive to reach that point until you have attained your first opal class.

A breakdown of castes:

Serf: an individual with no classes

Those with one class are limited to being a slightly more talented crafter, or a village or town guard

Those with two classes can be guards at cities or larger, members of the army, or simply talented crafters

Adventurer: an individual with three or four classes. These people usually take care of dungeons and nests around settlements. They are usually fairly prosperous as the rewards for completing these dangerous missions are very respectable.

Aristocrat: Both the term for the powerful dynasties that often rule throughout the Network, and for individuals with five or more classes. Because a fifth class requires an epic or rarer stone, usually only the ultra wealthy can afford to give their children one. That is why almost all individuals with a fifth class are a member of an aristocratic family.
