Below is a list of the eight stats that people start with, and what quartz class is associated with that stat.
Strength (Fighter): Determines how strong a character is, their ability to lift/carry, their amount of physical damage dealt. Slight increase to health
Dexterity (Rogue): Determines the speed of the character and their coordination, jumping, and precision of their movement. Slight increase to stamina
Perception (Hunter): Determines the ability of the senses.

Focus (Scholar): Determines the ability to focus on a single task, or to split that focus between tasks. Also prevents overload from high perception, and assists with high dexterity and intelligence.
Intelligence (Mage): Determines the ability to think about complicated things, rate of reading and learning. Increases mana.
Wisdom (Healer): Determines the ability to multitask and to think quickly. Helps deal with multiple trains of thought at once. Slight increase to mana.
Constitution (Guardian): Determines the ability to absorb blows and resist poisons. Increases Health and Stamina
Spirit (Seeker): Determines sensitivity to otherworldly perceptions such as auras and souls. Also helps deal with attacks that effect the aura and soul, like curses.
