Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons

Chapter 391: Secret Space

At Lilulu's request, Kane placed all six big-eared kittens into a transparent steel box, allowing them to reunite with their mother first.

Then, he put the transparent steel box into Lilulu's Fairy Tale World.

After finishing all this, Kane clapped his hands and said, "Alright, the goal is accomplished now, it's time to check out the place where these two creatures appeared, just within these ruins."

"Lilulu, go and communicate." Kane said to Lilulu, who was closing the colorful teleportation gate.

After hearing this, Lilulu made eye contact with the egg beside her, which then began to fly forward, leading the way for Kane and the others.

Meanwhile, Lilulu recounted to Kane and the others some information and intelligence she had gathered during her conversations with the two eggs over this time.

From Lilulu's mouth, it was learned that the area where the two eggs used to live was called the Land of Platinum, but it was in chaos now, as a war engulfing all places and lives was raging there.

The war had been going on for so long that no one knew when it had started; it seemed that this egg's race had a very vague concept of time.

If it was a bit longer, they wouldn't be able to remember much.

According to the information Lilulu obtained from talking with them for so long, the place where this egg lived should have been a dungeon as well, because the egg itself knew that the world they were in had already been destroyed.

It was said that this information was well-known to everyone there, and the war apparently broke out due to some situation after the world's destruction, but they didn't quite understand it.

Because their race went into hiding shortly after the war broke out to avoid being swept up in it.

The place they were located was once the most prosperous and thriving region of the world, also the center of it.

He said that the fragment of the world they were in could be regarded as the essence of their entire world.

It was just that, for some reason, the broken world was still completely preserved, only with a misty boundary that couldn't be seen through.

This was clearly a characteristic of a dungeon.

According to how the egg described it, their world was no joke, and could definitely be considered an advanced dungeon.

Moreover, the dungeon's structure was very special, as if no certain dungeon will was interfering, allowing the creatures within to freely develop.

Just not sure what level of dungeon it was.

As they proceeded along the way, various traces began to appear around them, showing that someone had been there.

Looking at the exceedingly clear footprints underfoot, there seemed to be only one person; judging by the footprints, wasn't this Funa?

No wonder there were only one person's footprints.

It seemed that Funa and the others passed through here previously.

Besides various murals on the surrounding stone walls, there were magic patterns as well, only without the magical glow anymore.

Of course, from time to time, faint magical light could still be seen flashing from some patterns, indicating the functions represented by these patterns were operational.

After circling around a large area, they finally arrived at an extremely vast region, with the whole space being square-shaped, featuring tunnels in two directions: forward and right.

"They said they landed right here."

Upon hearing Lilulu's words, Kane began to inspect the surroundings, and Kreya and the others spread out throughout the space, observing places they found curious or might be questionable.

Not far off, there was a protruding stone platform against the wall, with a circular bump the size of a human head on the top.

This thing looked like a button, with a palm print the size of a child's hand on it.

This must be the button the Angel siblings pressed earlier, didn't expect it to be this big, indeed not quite like a button.

The surrounding patterns looked somewhat strange, not quite like a magic array pattern, more like energy transmission channels.

"Yoyo, did you record all the patterns along this route?" Kane asked Yoyo, who was at his feet.

He had thought these magical pattern designs seemed familiar earlier, so he had Yoyo recording along their way, although only in places they passed through.

Yoyo nodded its body, then pieced together the recorded patterns and projected them into the air.

You could see these patterns were interrupted, as Kane and the others hadn't been following the lines, but advancing based on targets and the egg's guidance.

Just looking at the patterns ahead didn't reveal much clearly, but when added to this space's patterns, Kane confirmed.

The circuits in this thing, along with the energy circuits he had learned before, should come from the same world system or something.

It's quite intriguing, didn't expect a dungeon produced by magic ingredients could have remains regarding machinery.

However, they basically hadn't seen any magical machinery equipment or dungeon monsters along this way.

"You all wait here first, I'll stroll around this area." After saying that, Kane led Yoyo towards the front tunnel.

Kreya and the others weren't concerned, given Kane's strength, they didn't need to worry too much, just urged caution.

Walking a certain distance along the tunnel, Kane again found a space similar in size to the previous area, with similar circuits; only this space had nothing, and ahead had no passage, while the other passage led right.

After circling the tunnel once, Kane returned to the previous region, but this time from the space's right-hand passage.

Upon seeing Kane, Kreya asked, "How about it? Any findings?"

Kane smiled and said, "Of course, quite a lot."

After saying this, he went to the upper right corner of the space.

Based on his circuit around, there were a total of four identical spaces connected by passages in a square formation.

Through deciphering the circuits, he found a hidden switch, or rather not hidden, but a door switch that needed deciphering.

In the corner, a blade matching the size of the patterns appeared in his hand, and he began inscribing on the wall.

By utilizing the circuit diagram that Yoyo had projected earlier, he had performed a simple deciphering, now knowing how to modify them to make them what he wanted.

The circuits here were one or two levels lower than the energy circuits he knew, seemingly earlier technology, whereas what he knew was the revamped technology.

This indicated that the relic was from an earlier period compared to the place of his energy circuit technology in the dungeon.

Kreya and the others watched Kane's inscribing from nearby.

Kane didn't take long inscribing, only slightly modifying some circuits.

Then Kane pressed his palm to the stone slab in front of him, and magical power started pouring along the circuits, causing the once dim patterns to emit blue magical light.

As magic power flowed in, the blue lines began to connect, eventually forming a pattern resembling a door.

"Crack"

A sound echoed as the pattern in front of them sank, the entire stone slab receded downward, then shifted aside.

A tunnel was revealed before Kane and the others.

The tunnel was completely dark, only the end had visible light.

"A simple protective password, just like that, the secret is revealed," Kane said with a smile.

Longbei peeked into the tunnel and then asked, "What's inside?"

Kane shrugged, saying, "I don't know either what's inside, but we should be the first to arrive since the circuits here show no signs of being activated."

However, recalling something, Kane added.

"No, we may not be the first, after all, this dungeon has been mastered by someone else, President Bagri might have been here before, probably appeared directly inside through permissions."

Kane said so; he wasn't sure what privileges came with mastering the dungeon, but knew one should have awareness of various spatial environments in one's own dungeon.

After all, he could even modify various geological environments, if he didn't know such a small matter, it would be too odd.

Then, with Longbei holding a shield at the front, and Kreya covering the rear, they formed a line and advanced inside.

The deeper they went, the brighter it became; seeing the space at the end surely housed some strong light source.

Finally, they passed through the tunnel, looking into a room filled with light, covered their eyes and entered.

The whole room was brimming with surging magic, each breath felt like their own magical power was quickly recovering.

An enormous crystal emitted strong light, floating at the center of the space before them.

Around were various giant screens suspended in the air.

It was unmistakably a high-tech room.
