GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2451: Most Difficult.

So the demigod became stuck in an illusion while Legion was working hard on his mind to make him forget that he ever owned a divine ability called the Restore and Revive divine ability.

This ensured that the demigod undying did nothing as his prized Restore and Revive divine ability was crippled by their Disable divine ability. It was then that Legion dealt the finishing blow.

The bloody limb that they had prepared was driven into his body, thereby crushing his body. Even his souls were struck by the impact due to the Stun divine ability. They scattered and sealed his fate as completely dead.

After they were done, Legion-7 sighed and said, "That was hectic. Undying godclads are disgusting. If there is a chance, I don't want to have anything to do with them."

What he said made Legion-1 grin and say, "Isn't it a good thing that undying are disgusting by being so difficult to kill? After all, we are undying too."

Legion-3 also smiled and said, "What's more, we will still have to deal with undying godclads when we become gods."

What they said made Legion-7 cheer up and say, "That's true. I guess things aren't so bad."

Legion-5 said confidently, "Even if things are bad, we will still be able to handle them because we have the necessary power to."

What he said was the truth. Even if they couldn't manage to deactivate the Restore and Revive divine ability, they still had the power to kill the undying godclad as many times as needed to kill him permanently.

They just didn't want to spend time and resources to kill him seven times. Anything could happen to interrupt them, like someone coming to save the demigod.

It is always a good thing to finish a fight as quickly as possible. That's why they were so adamant about disabling the Restore and Revive divine ability as soon as possible.

But while they have the power and means to kill an undying demigod once for his normal life and at least six extra times because of the extra lives from the Restore and Revive divine ability, they are one of the few people that can manage it.

The problems that will stop others from replicating their feat are fivefold. Those problems are sneaking up on the demigod, preventing him from escaping, possessing enough power to actually harm him, somehow stopping him from healing his injuries, and possessing enough spiritual energy to use that power to kill the undying godclad as many times as needed after he revives.

Each of the five problems can be insurmountable for many other godclads. But they have to solve all four, or they will never be able to kill an undying godclad.

If they didn't find a way to hide their killing intentions from the Danger Sense divine ability and sneak past the defenses of the house up to the demigod, they would have failed in their hunt.

If they didn't have a way to see the demigod when he turned invisible, they would have let him escape, and their hunt would have failed again.

If they didn't manage to disable the Aegis Shield and render it useless, then despite their vast amount of power, it will be very difficult, if not impossible, to kill the undying godclad even once.

Thanks to the Aegis Shield, it would have been very difficult to harm the demigod enough to kill him. But what made this worse is that if they hadn't been able to nullify his ability to regenerate, the demigod wouldn't have even needed to revive when they dealt lethal damage to him.

Finally, if they didn't possess a lot of spiritual energy, they wouldn't have been able to use the many divine abilities from different pathways over and over again to kill the demigod for as many times as needed.

So this single fight can be said to be the most difficult fight that they have ever participated in. Not even the fight against three rank 8 killers was as tedious and difficult as this.

In fact, the fight with the three rank 8 killers seems like a walk in the park for what they just did. They were in danger during that fight, but winning had been easy for them.

In this fight, though, they were in no danger, but it was still difficult. They had even set up a trap outside of the demigod's house to prevent him from escaping and prevent anyone from saving him.

The need to set up a trap and the other five obstacles that they had to overcome to kill the demigod undying godclad weren't things they had to do to defeat three rank 8 killers.

As Legion thought of this, they watched the corpse of the demigod begin to break down into pieces. Each piece contained one of his eight divine flesh, so there were eight pieces in total.

Legion had left his body mostly intact. The only injury in it this time is a large hole in his chest. They did this in order to preserve his body for what they would need it for after they become rank 8 undying godclad.

As for when they will become rank 8 undying godclad, that time can be now. After all, they have already met their advancement requirements and have the rank 8 divine flesh that they need right here.

The environment is also somewhat safe. The many layers of arrays around the house are still up and running, protecting the house.

In fact, no one outside of the house knows that a fight just occurred within the house because the arrays have sealed the house from even sound waves.

Being soundproof is just a side effect of these arrays. The arrays also block vibration and light from leaving the house or entering it. It can be said that the house had been sealed so much that it had become its own world that was separate from the rest of the world.
