"It was the Forsaken Seer," Lilixen finally revealed, causing Kent to knit his brow. His mind moved on its own, and like flipping through books, the words quickly made sense to him.
Among the many names he was expecting to hear, he most certainly didn't expect to hear the one name he hated with all his being.
The Forsaken race.
Aside from the Void Beasts, Kent's most hated enemy is the Forsaken race.
They took something precious from him, and so he promised to kill every last one of them. In the past, he had killed many; however, they are still around, and as such, he would not stop until they are all dead.
With his memories of the Faceless Assassin, he knew even in that life, he had encountered the Forsaken race, and he hated them just like he did during the primordial era.
Surprisingly, the name mentioned just now triggered a memory from that life instead of his life as the Chaos Dragon. This memory was handed to him by a mission he received after he killed the Demon King.
Inside this mission, a Forsaken Seer appeared on a planet that they had marked to be taken over by the Forsaken race.
Since the forsaken race can't leave their planets, the loophole was to manipulate others to open the forsaken gate in their planets, which will allow them entry to take it over.
However, when this forsaken seer appeared, something strange began to happen.
Many cultivators had started going missing, and from what was gathered, the Forsaken Seer is using them to summon Forsaken beings.
The Forsaken Seer has a peculiar ability that allows them to summon Forsaken beings into the bodies of ordinary cultivators. This means that instead of manipulating the leaders of the planet, they've marked open forsaken gates for them; she can merely help her people come through a special ritual.
Aside from that, a forsaken seer can also predict and weave complex plans into motion. Basically, they are dangerous adversaries to contend with.
Everything is within their calculation.
"300 years ago, she came to this planet with a deal. We were to provide her with cultivators from other planets since most come here to train, and in return, she would help us leave this place."
Lilixen stopped there, knowing that what she had to say next would, without a doubt, anger Kent. So she ignored that and said the next best thing.
"She predicted you would come after taking the four Foxkins away and branding the other with a curse before sending her away half dead."
"Did she mention me by name?"
"No," Azrakul answered, his body shivering from the coldness. "However, she said someone would come, and when they do, we should stop them at all costs."
"I see." Kent looked deeply at the three Monarchs... "How can I get to her?"
Khar'mul pointed at a mountain in the distance... "She mostly comes from that place with her people."
"And how many are they, and their strength?"
"We don't know her strength level, but the others are at the Death Stage. The last time they came for the four foxes, there were 20 of them."
"That wasn't too hard now, was it?" Kent smiled and unfurled his wings, slowly rising to the sky.
"You can melt the ice on your own as a punishment for obstructing my business," Kent said coldly before flapping his wings. In no time, he was shooting toward the mountain.
The three Monarchs were left shivering as if they had vibrators in their bodies. They had themselves to blame for coming against a monster like Kent.
Many died because they chose to defy him.
Now, although he left them alive, it will take them a couple of months to fully clear the ice. But even so, the coldness will linger for a while.
Kent didn't even use the absolute coldness of his ice this time. However, even so, the coldness left behind wouldn't be easy to handle.
It would take them time and energy to do that.
Maybe this was his way of telling the three Monarchs to behave next time. Kent knew that if he killed the three of them, the planet would become chaotic, preventing future cultivators from having a good time to train.
However, with the three Monarchs around, the planet will hold an order and some semblance of quiet. Of course, in the end, it is a lawless world, with every cultivator having the obligation to kill every living being on it.
That was how it was designed, and as such, Kent wouldn't have been punished if he wiped every living soul on it.
But even though he didn't, he had farmed some tower points and, most importantly, blood essence. Although not enough on both fronts, being able to clear some of his debt and inch closer to reaching Level 4 Spirit Lord is also good.
Kent landed on the mountain with a mighty tremble.
He had already located the teleportation gate, so right when he landed, the tower quickly started activating it.
[Master, should I summon Uncle Drew and the others? From what the Monarch Beasts said, there is a chance you will be walking into a trap.]
Kent smiled, sensing the worry in the tower's words.
Although there is a need to worry, considering the Forsaken race isn't restricted by planetary limitations, Kent knows too much to understand better. He knew that in the high world, the chances of many Immortals being among the forsaken race were very low.
This is because it takes a lot to take a cultivator from the Death Stage to the Root Immortal Stage. The treasures involved can't easily be found in high worlds.
But even if they have the necessary treasures, the energy in the high worlds isn't enough to aid ascension from the Death Stage to the Root Immortal Stage.
Basically, it will take a lot for that to happen. So, on a planet full of Forsaken beings in a high world, there might be fewer than a dozen Immortals.
Of course, Kent isn't underestimating them. He is too intelligent to make such a mistake. However, while he isn't underestimating them, he also isn't looking down on himself.
The last thing he would do is be afraid of a Forsaken being. Even if what is waiting for him on the other side is a god, Kent isn't going to cower.
He hates the Forsaken race just too much to fear them.
[This is a trap for sure.]
'Oh, trust me, I know. From what I know of their summoning ritual, the stronger the person's innate talent, the stronger the Forsaken being that can be summoned into their bodies.
And knowing the history of the Forsaken Seers, she had probably used the three Monarchs as a test to see if someone extraordinary would appear.'
[All the more reason the master should call for backup.]
'Where is the fun in that?' Kent grinned, watching as the gate opened. 'After the battle in the Paragon Universe, I haven't had that much fun yet. I have become even more powerful now.
So why don't I use this moment to test out a few things? I mean, wouldn't you like to see what the Primordial Chaos Dragon is capable of?'
[I suppose the master does have a point. In any case, if the master ended up biting more than he can chew, I will act to save his life.]
'Suit yourself... Though I doubt there will be a need for that.'
Kent took a step forward, and soon, he walked into the teleportation gate.
