Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1273: Fate's Intelligence

There are only three colours of fate in the known universe. There is white, which can range from dull to brilliant. These colours signify the fate of all those blessed and destined for greatness.

The brighter the colour of fate, the greater their potential.

Then there is purple, which means injustice. These colours are for people who have bigger destinies but die early and unjustly before they can fulfil them.

A very long time ago, the goddess of the hunt possessed such a colour of fate, and as such, she died before her greatness shone.

Lastly, there is the golden thread of fate. This colour is for beings worthy to fight for the fate of the universe. They rarely appear, but when they do, the universe becomes peaceful.

Their presence puts everything in control. They are like the representatives of the universe in mortal form. Naturally, it was said that golden fates change the fate of others.

It was seen during the Primordial Era when the goddess of the hunt had her fate changed by the Primordial Chaos Dragon, thereby taking her from dull gold to bright purple.

However, while only these three colours are known to the known universe, there is actually one last fate that has the crimson colour. This fate is only known to the Cosmic realm...

From the start of the universe to this moment, only seven of such fates had been recorded. Now, only one of the seven remained.

Naturally, the crimson fate belongs only to the True Primordials. Six of them are dead, and the last, while alive, has his crimson fate wounded due to a mistake made by two ladies who thought they were doing the right thing.

"Giving him 13 lives, while noble and had indeed saved countless lives, came at a cost, and that was two injuries to his True Fate.

One occurred during the Chaos Era, the other during the Dark Era.

This means that when he is fully awake, these two injuries will hinder him, thereby preventing him from fulfilling his true destiny. The injuries will prevent him from becoming a True Primordial.

However, because I saw this day coming, I used the last 13 eras to prepare, and as you can see, to heal those wounds, these two people should be kept alive no matter what."

Fate pointed at the two golden threads of fate beside the crimson one.

The remaining fourteen threads of fate are the lives Kent had lived.

He lived 13 lives, starting from the primordial era, before this one final one, destined to be his last, where he would finally become who he was meant to be from birth... a True Primordial.

"Unfortunately, while I might have created the cure, messing with the fate of two innocent people came with a price that Lord Chaos must yet again pay... and continue to pay"

The Enchantress and Lady Universe took a deep breath, their expressions returning to normal yet again. However, their heartbeat still hadn't slowed down.

Learning that they had caused this much damage over a harmless game made them finally see the errors of their ways.

If not for them, nothing that is happening today would have come to pass. They messed with Chaos and, in a way, linked him to the universe's fate. The moment that happened, the Void Beast Race became aware of this known universe.

In a way, the known universe declared to them that they were ready for a higher form of war. And because of that, instead of becoming a True Primordial during the Primordial Era, Chaos couldn't have that chance.

The war came before they had the chance.

Perhaps the Great War wouldn't have happened that early. Maybe the damage caused wouldn't have happened if Chaos hadn't become the guardian of the universe.

Of course, there are a lot of factors that, when placed on the what-if scale, would have made a big difference in the grand scheme of things.

However, in the end, everything came down to the game the ladies played with Chaos, which they lost.

"So how did revealing to Chaos the arrival of the Void Temple solve anything?" the Enchantress asked, sounding calmer now.

"Oh, revealing that was the price he had to pay. The important thing was saving the twins. They are his only chance to recover his fate.

Inside them is the imprint of his True Primordial Fate. If they can keep it alive until Lord Chaos inherits the Six Fate Marks and 13 Life Keys, everything will be worth it."

"So what now?"

"Very simple. Since Karma has an arrangement with him in five years, I will go to that old baldy and plead to make the destruction of the Void Temple his mission.

This means Lord Chaos would have to venture into that dreadful place and do the needful." Fate smiled and took yet another drag of his pipe, letting the smoke fill the air.

Lady Universe narrowed her gaze at him and asked, "What did Karma say? And don't play with me. I know you. I know you are intelligent. So you wouldn't come here without a solid plan. So what did that bald bastard say?"

Fate chuckled and coughed a few times... "What do you expect, my lady? You and I both know Karma is mad at Lord Chaos for what he did during the Primordial Era. And since the rules don't exactly shackle Karma, he planned to make Lord Chaos pay.

Of course, Destiny and I intervened on his behalf, and after a few sacrifices, he accepted my offer. However, he plans to sabotage his trip through the Star Gateway even if he survives the Void Temple."

Lady Universe and the Enchantress didn't seem too surprised about what Fate said. They knew Karma was mad at Kent for shattering his soul and breaking the Circle of Karma to bring his legion back in time.

He also went ahead and lived all 13 lives to the fullest, even earning the title, Karma's Favourite.

So he had tried many times to sabotage him in all 13 lives he had lived, but failed. This time, it seemed he had a sure way to go about it.

"What did he want in order not to do that?"

"He wanted one of two things. First, he wants Lord Chaos to go down on his knees and apologise to him." Fate paused and smirked, "I think we both know he wouldn't do that."

The two ladies nodded, letting a smirk form at the corners of their lips. "And what is the second?"

"That one, too, is a hard ask, but he wants Enchantress to sing a lullaby, record it, and send it to him on a Cosmic Unicorn."

"That bastard. I will rip him to shreds," Lady Universe exclaimed, her expression turning dark.

"I am afraid you cannot do that, my lady. Killing him will completely shatter the Circle of Karma. When that happens, the universe will end overnight."

Lady Universe gritted her teeth, frustration bubbling in her chest.

"I will do it," the Enchantress said, causing Lady Universe to sigh.

"It's okay, sister. Our foolishness has brought this upon us. So if it means making this sacrifice to fix things, then I will happily do it."

"But..."

"Don't worry, sister. It is only a few cosmic essences. I will recover it in a few thousand years."

"Then it is settled. I will let Karma know so he can inform Lord Chaos."

"Thank you, Fate... really," Lady Universe said, bringing a smile to Fate's face.

"Don't worry about it. It is what big brothers do for their silly siblings." With that, he vanished, leaving the two ladies with varied expressions.
