Speed Villian: Fugitive from the stars

Chapter 53: Speed Vs Strength (3)

Those watching the fight knows this is a real fight between geniuses. No fancy skills just pure power and comprehension. Kael suddenly materialised 3 speedforce strands, looking like lightning strands and sent it as an attack to James.

James could sense those 3 simple strands were made up of highly compressed penetrative Qi. As a deterrent, he created a mountain of boulders around him but this 3 strands still pierce through the boulders in their way. By the time they reached James, the power has weakened a lot so he could block it.

"Hahahaha..... It will be impolite if I don't retaliate, isn't it?" James laughing maniacally brandished his sword with earth energy swirling around it. He attacked Kael again but this time with more power.

James's blade came down like a collapsing continent, the earth energy around it thickening the air itself. Kael didn't dodge—he snapped forward, the voidstream latching onto his body like a second skin. His speed burst didn't create a sonic boom; it simply ignored sound entirely, slipping between time seams and appearing in James's face with a punch.

James grinned savagely and met the blow head-on.

BOOOOM!!

Shockwaves rippled out. Spectators watching from afar dug their feet into the ground as the land quaked beneath them. Dust spiraled into the air like tornados. Both fighters staggered back the exact same distance, neither gaining nor losing ground.

Kael spun mid-air and dragged a hand through the air, pulling a thin glowing ring of speedforce into existence. He flicked it like a frisbee—except the moment it left his hand, the 'ring' elongated into a slicing arc of compressed motion, cutting the ground beneath it into a perfect line.

James instantly slammed his hand down.

EARTH TIDE!!

The ground rose like a tidal wave, swallowing the arc. The speedforce cut through layers of stone and crystal, but James's earth energy multiplied endlessly, rebuilding each layer faster than the arc could slice.

The clash ended in a stalemate, the attack dissipating and the earth wave crumbling.

James pointed his sword forward. "You're dangerous. But damn it feels good."

Kael smirked, appearing beside him in an instant with a kick.

James caught the leg, veins bulging, and twisted—Kael twisted with it, went airborne, and they both exchanged rapid-fire blows mid-air. It wasn't martial arts. It wasn't skill. It was comprehension meeting comprehension, raw power clashing with pure speed.

KAEL: a blur of flickering afterimages, each punch carrying layers of speedforce vibrations.

JAMES: a fortress of moving earth, every swing of his blade sending seismic ripples through the air.

CLANG!

CRACK!

WHOOOM!!

Every exchange forced one back a meter—only for the other to push forward immediately.

Kael flicked his fingers.

Thirteen blade shards instantly surrounded James, circling at blinding speed. But James stomped the ground, generating a pulse that disrupted their control for a millisecond. Just enough to break Kael's formation.

"Trying new tricks, speed demon?"

Kael vanished and reappeared on James's left, palm already thrusting forward.

James's instinct roared.

He concentrated his earth Qi into one spot—right where Kael's palm hit.

BOOOOM!!!

The impact blasted both of them backward, neither gaining the upper hand.

They landed at opposite ends of the battlefield.

Both were breathing hard.

Both were smiling.

The spectators watching trembled.

"This… this is insane."

"It's not skills… not techniques…"

"This is what happens when two monsters fight with nothing but their raw mastery…"

Kael wiped dust from his cheek.

James rolled his neck, cracking it.

At the same moment—

They dashed forward.

One wrapped in voidstream speed and vibrating speedforce.

The other wrapped in surging earth power thick enough to distort space.

Their fists collided—

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

And the fight continued, still perfectly balanced.
