Speed Villian: Fugitive from the stars

Chapter 52: Speed Vs Strength(2)

Kael vanished—a ripple of yellow and violet streaks—and James responded by stomping the ground with enough force that the earth buckled upward, forming a thick wall of compressed soil and stone. Kael slammed into it, blasting straight through, but James had already intercepted on the other side, fist cocked back.

BOOOOM!!

Kael was sent tumbling mid-air, but he stabilized instantly, flickering in and out of visibility as the voidstream wrapped around him like shifting shadows.

James grinned, veins pulsing as his earth energy surged. "You're fast, but I'm not weak."

He punched forward—the air itself exploded—and Kael blurred sideways, only for James to twist, catching Kael's ankle mid-dash and swinging him like a meteor toward the ground. Kael planted his hand, stopping himself inches above the surface before disappearing again.

A blade shard sliced past James' neck. Then another. Then ten more.

James roared, coating himself in heavy earth armor as thick plates formed on his skin. The shards pinged off, leaving shallow scratches.

Kael materialized above him and brought down a lightning-fast kick.

James blocked with crossed arms—

CRACK!

The ground split beneath him from the force.

Kael zipped away again, appearing behind James with a spinning backfist. James countered by sinking his feet into the ground, anchoring himself, using the earth itself to multiply his strength. Kael's punch landed—but James didn't budge.

Instead, James smirked and swung.

Kael barely dodged, but even the wind pressure sent him skidding backward.

He stopped himself mid-slide, flickered, and reappeared with 100 blade shards orbiting him like a glowing formation.

James cracked his knuckles. "Bring it."

Kael dashed in. James charged forward.

Speedforce streaks collided with earth-reinforced might.

The two clashed in the center—

KABOOOOM!!

A shockwave blasted outward, uprooting trees and flattening boulders.

Kael's fists blurred—

James' arms hardened—

Kael's speed bent the air—

James' strength crushed the ground—

Neither side gave an inch.

James punched the earth, sending spears of stone erupting beneath Kael. He phase-shifted with voidstream, passing through them like mist—then solidified instantly, smashing his knee into James' jaw.

James tanked it with a smile and grabbed Kael by the collar, swinging a heavy uppercut. Kael blocked with two blade shards fused together as a gauntlet, but the impact still numbed his arm.

Kael fired back with a barrage of punches so fast they created a dome of shockwaves around James.

James responded with a single, brutal downward smash that dispersed all the shockwaves at once.

Both stepped back, breathing hard—not exhausted, but finally taking the other seriously.

Kael wiped dust off his sleeve.

James rolled his neck.

"Equal footing, huh?" James said.

Kael smirked, eyes glowing. "Seems like it."

Both dashed in again—

the fight far from over.

Kael blurred forward, the ground cracking beneath his step as voidstream pulses wrapped around his legs, boosting each movement with silent, instantaneous acceleration. James met him head-on, his earth-powered physique tightening like compressed stone, muscles hardening with the weight of a mountain.

Their fists collided.

BOOOOM!

The shockwave shredded the nearby terrain, flinging dust and debris like a storm.

Both of them slid backward—neither gaining ground, neither losing it.

James grinned, gripping his massive blade with one hand. "Now this… THIS is fun."

Kael cracked his knuckles. "Tch. You talk too much."

James stomped, channeling his earth energy. Thick ripples spread across the ground like liquid stone, forming jagged spikes that shot upward. Kael blinked once—speedforce sparks danced around his body—and vanished.

SWOOOSH.

He reappeared above James, but James had already anticipated it. His blade swung upward, wrapped in compressed earth energy. Kael's shard-shield materialized instantly—100 shards spiraling like a metallic cyclone—and the two forces slammed together in a burst of bright sparks.

CLANNNGG!!!

Kael rotated mid-air, using his momentum to drop multiple accelerated kicks. James braced each one with hardened arms, the impact sending cracks along the ground but not moving him an inch.

"Your speed is cheating," James laughed.

"Your body is a walking mountain," Kael shot back.

Another clash—Kael's speed-infused palm vs. James' stone-reinforced fist.

Another explosion of equal force.

Both were pushed back again, neither looking tired.

James exhaled sharply, condensing his strength into his legs, and launched himself forward like a cannonball. Kael flickered sideways, only to find James turning mid-air with absurd control, dragging his blade in a wide arc that forced Kael to dodge backward.

But Kael didn't retreat far—he stopped suddenly, speedforce humming, and zipped forward with a barrage of palm strikes. James, instead of blocking, absorbed the kinetic force with his stone-like skin and countered with a single thunderous punch to the ground.

KRRAAAKKK!!!

The shock sent Kael skidding, but he instantly recovered with a voidstream-enhanced hop, floating just above the cracked surface.

Then—

Kael and James charged at each other again.

Speed vs. strength.

Voidstream vs. earth mastery.

Blade shards spinning vs. titanic blade swings.

Every collision was evenly matched.

Every strike shook the battlefield.

Every movement showed neither was above the other.

Both were grinning now.

Both enjoying the fight.

Both refusing to back down.

"Again!" James roared.

"You read my mind," Kael smirked—

—and they clashed once more, the world shaking under the battle of two monsters perfectly matched in power.
