Violet struggled to remain standing, Luna trembled by her side as the pressure on them seemed physical in nature. Rhyana and Susan were simply struggling to even stay conscious under the presence of the plant person completely enveloped the group.
Violet's sharpened nails dung into her palms as she tried to keep herself focused, her own presence feebly trying to push back against the overwhelming force of this beings existence.
As she tried her hardest to resist Violet also studied the being before her.
It was daily tall, around 6ft in height. Humanoid in shape, standing on two legs and with two arms and a head. It seemed to have a feminine figure, two slight bumps on her wood like chest being the primary indicator for the dragon. Her face was like smooth white bark that was sculpted into the perfect female shape, long vine like hair framed her face in a green halo with her emerald eyes burning with… curiosity?
Just as Violet processed that emotion the presence suddenly vanished. Both Violet and Luna staggered as the overbearing pressure was lifted, Violet instinctively reaching out to support her companion as they both gasped for a breath that they didn't even know they had been holding in.
They both looked up and met the eyes of the woman who stood before them, her posture had relaxed slightly, now observing them with the same curiosity as before but mixed with a hint of excitement as her gaze flicked to the horns, tail and wings on Violet's form.
"So… you are this Wild Dragon the world heard about, I must say you don't disappoint." The woman's voice was smooth like honey, yet seemed to resonate with the very world around them. It was both enchanting and slightly terrifying, as her very words resounded with hidden power.
It took Violet a few moments to rally her thoughts as she fumbled for an answer. "T-thanks? And y-yes… I think. My name is Violet, this is my companion, Luna. W-who, what are you?" She felt tongue tied and fumbled over her words, a slight flush crept up her cheeks in embarrassment.
Luna looked at Violet slightly aghast at Violet's choice of wording at the end there, yet thankfully the play woman did not seem to take offense. Instead a melodious laughter rang out from the immensely powerful woman before them, its sound soothing to the mind.
"Hahaha, oh it has been some time since someone has been so brazen as to ask me what I am." She paused for a moment as she chuckled quietly to herself. "But to answer your question young Wild One. I am a Dryad, you may call me Ivy. I am a member of the Wild Order, and it is a pleasure to meet a true Wild Dragon after all these years."
Violet processed the plant- no dryads words, her mind running through the possibilities of what her words could mean. She guessed that this Dryad was old, very very old, she spoke as if she had known other wild dragons in the past. Yet from what Violet knew the last of the died out centuries ago.
And what was this Wild Order she spoke of? It sounded important, and if it was powerful enough to have Sovereign tier beings working for it… well then it must be quite powerful indeed.
"Umm sorry? I have some questions though." Violet felt awkward apologising, but felt that it was appropriate with this disparity of strength. When Ivy nodded in response to Violet's question the dragon continued. "Okay, so what is the Wild Order? And… d-did you know a dragon called m-Moraznia?" He voice cracked at the end, the though only came to her as she was speaking but… if this Ivy knew her mother, well she would like to find out more about her.
As for Ivy she was unsurprised that the young Dragon had never heard of the Wild Order. After all, if her guesses was correct then this little one had survived in the wilds basically all by herself with little to no contact with any of the civilisations that resided here. Well she supposed that the Leopard girl must have come from some kind of clan. With Ivys powerful senses she was able to notice the subtle signs of an enlightened that had attained true beasthood through evolution, and this young girl clearly underwent such an event.
But what did throw the Dryad off was the question about Moraznia, for that was a name that Ivy had not heard in a long time.
She remembered hearing the tales of the Dragon Princess, Moraznia the Gold, her tale of failed revenge for her race and her eventual defeat. But, based on how the young dragon had asked that question… well clearly that name meant something to this Violet, the question is what?
But first she would answer the first question posed to her, then she would sait her curiosity. "The Wild Order was founded around 300 years ago. Our goal was to aid the Dragons with their goal of eradicating Corruption wherever we may find it. A task that rested solely on our shoulders after the last of the Wild Dragons fell."
A moment of silence enveloped the space, long enough for the girls to process that information. "As for your other question. I have heard of a dragon with the name Moraznia, may I ask how you know that name? It has been a long time since I myself last heard it."
Violet felt her throat tighten, emotions swirling up within her, she tried to open her mouth to reply but the words failed to come out. Thankfully she had a companion to help her. Luna sensing the raging emotions within Viole and knowing that she would be fine with Luna sharing their relationship spoke up.
"Moraznia was Violet's mother. She was wounded long ago and fled to secure a space for Violet's egg. Myself and Violet met a… an echo of her soul and briefly spoke to her. But If you know more about her, both myself and Violet would be eternally grateful to hear more about her." She felt Violet's gratitude and simple reached out to hold her companions hand, giving it a tight squeeze in support.
Ivy was once more taken aback by that information. To think that the last known Wild Dragon of centuries ago had managed to keep such a secret, and was able to actually able to hide away Violet's egg was nothing short of a miracle.
Both Ivy and the rest of her Order had been wondering how a Wild Dragon had been born after all this time. It seems that she now had the answer to that question. Previously they had thought that a wyvern or other dragoons beast had managed to evolve into a true dragon somehow, yet the actual answer was perhaps even more outlandish.
Yet Ivy did not doubt the story, she was able to sense when lies were spoken around her. So she knew that the young leopard was telling the truth with her tale.
Taking a deep breath to center herself, and to hide the giddy excitement that was slowly building up within her, Ivy finally replied.
"To think, she managed to do such a thing. It pains me to know that she truly died, my order had hoped that she had simply fled away to lands unknown. To think she was with child during her last few years…" her voice trailed off as she pondered the implications. It was known hat dragons, Especially powerful dragons took several years to lay an egg once it was conceived.
And from her knowledge, Moraznia had gone on a one woman mission to eradicate any and all responsible for the downfall of the dragons. To think that she had done so whilst with child… it was both heartbreaking and awe inspiring.
"But yes, to answer your question. I do know of Moraznia, I don't know a whole lot. But I would be happy to share all that I do know." She then looked past the shellshocked dragon at the slightly corrupted lake behind them.
"But first please allow me to purify this lake first, then we can go somewhere more conductive to a long conversation? Does that sound okay to you?"
