But she noticed his unspoken words and snorted.

"Hmph, any business that generates more than 10,000 a month is handed over to the family for management. So, of all my businesses, I can only manage six, and I reinvest the profits, as it suits me to have my family manage them all, even though I get less money each month," he declared.

Leaving aside the fact that this woman was a successful entrepreneur and business founder, Ryan was interested in how these powerful families were run.

"Why is it in your best interest?"

"In the future, all those companies will belong to me, and the family has great power to make them grow very quickly. If I don't achieve a high rank in the family in the future, then I will have to manage them all. Although it would be management on behalf of the family, I would be the legitimate owner."

"Oh." Ryan nodded sympathetically.

'They really have a good strategy there,' he thought.

It encouraged innovation, investment, and taught them to save, as well as teaching them how to run businesses. Undoubtedly, if they continued like this, they would be great in the future.

"And I don't remember anything like that in the royal family," she said suddenly, staring at him.

Ryan smiled. "No, we don't do that."

"See!" she exclaimed, emphasizing what she had said initially. "You princes are really rich!"

This time, Ryan had no way to respond. They practically gave him more than a hundred thousand pounds a month as a benefit. The Treasury Hall was in charge of giving him money, items, and anything else he requested, as long as he met the requirements.

Although Ryan isn't really rich compared to the rest of his siblings, he has still been given money to run his fleet and cover his expenses. Since the previous Ryan wasn't very wasteful and only spent money on books (and not much at that), he had saved a lot of money and now has a large amount in savings.

Of course, when he starts to grow his armada following the family's mandates and rules, that money will be used, but for now he hasn't spent anything.

"I heard that my brothers have been given companies and such, even a share in several large organizations," he thought, which is why he believed himself to be poorer than the rest.

But anyway. With so much money recently available, he was wondering what to do with it; now Cecily has given him some ideas. Invest in businesses and more.

"Where are we going?" Cecily asked as she got into a taxi-like carriage.

Both wore dark clothes covering their faces and clothing to avoid being recognized. This allowed them to move freely around the city without fear.

"To headquarters. We'll see the leader," Ryan replied.

Although Cecily didn't know the reasons, she first told the driver the location and then spoke to him again.

"You told me earlier that Mr. Martin would lend you some items. Which ones will he let you use?" she asked.

"Before I answer, I want to ask you something about it," Ryan replied, and after she gave him the signal that he could go ahead, he continued. "Have you used items from the organization before?"

"I've used several."

"How good are they in terms of level and range?"

"Pretty good, especially the Darkness ones. Since they are items that are powered by the presence of the Mirror, they have very high power."

Ryan nodded thoughtfully.

"What items do you recommend for searching for someone who has gone missing?" he asked.

Cecily paused to think.

These items are practically treasures that hold the power of gods within them. Most of them are items from the second era, originating from fallen gods. They don't always hold tremendous power capable of killing anyone; they generally have different abilities for different things.

For example, there is a well-known item that can bring harvest to barren land, known as the Harvest God Item, but an adjective is added to the end because of its peculiarity that harvest can only be achieved at night in those places, and so it is called Good Night Harvest or Night Harvest God Item.

Each of these items is found in ruins, purchased at auctions, or even passed down from generation to generation in prominent families.

A perfect example of this is the "Unusual Dome of Dark Reflections" owned by the Larsen Family. It is said to surround all of Larsen's territories, and when you try to infiltrate it with evil intentions, it takes you to dark places where only death awaits you, through hallucinations.

The organization does not have many, but it does have a wide repertoire in terms of usefulness. None of them repeat what they do; they are all different.

That is why choosing one is complicated, but if you stick to one type of mission, it is not so difficult to choose.

"I think you'll really like the 'Memory of the Forgotten King,' the 'Midnight Clock of Fallen Hill,' and the 'Compass of the Black Mother.' All three are useful for quests, but with the peculiarities that their powers allow," she replied.

Ryan nodded. As expected... he had no idea what they were.

The Memory of the Forgotten King sounded familiar, but the one that resonated most in his mind was the Compass of the Black Mother.

"One of the deities of the 2nd era," he thought.

That woman was made to be the Cleopatra of this world. Empress, beautiful, and also one whose tomb could never be found.

"I hope I don't have to deal with her followers anytime soon. They're quite stubborn and powerful." He sighed.

They had arrived at the designated location, the usual entrance on Longging Street, but not the one Ryan had entered the first time. Now they went through another entrance, a more direct one where he did not expect a recruiter, but rather a receptionist closely linked to the organization.

"Mr. Prince, Miss Larsen." The receptionist bowed respectfully.

"Is the leader inside?" Cecily asked.

"Possibly. He came in here a while ago, and I haven't seen him come out," he replied.

Cecily simply nodded and began to lead the way toward the underground structure.

"Did you know that an item was needed to do this?"

"Really?" This carving on the rock had always surprised her, but for it to be operating underground and no one noticing, it must have been very, very far below the surface.

"Yes. Well, the leader says it took an item and a person to do it. Originally, the headquarters was not underground, but the danger of it being on the surface meant that it had to be moved to this location," Cecily replied.

"Who did it and with what item?" he asked, surprised.

That one person was solely responsible for creating such a work of art beneath the capital city truly demonstrated his amazing ability.

She smiled. "Have you ever heard of the legendary Magnus?" she asked.

Ryan frowned.

'Magnus, the ruin explorer,' he thought.

In the novel, he wasn't one of the main characters. In fact, he never appeared, but he was always very famous despite not having a "face," thanks to his great feats in exploring ruins and taking on the most dangerous missions in the world.

Furthermore, as a member of the select group of "Special Walkers," commonly called "S Walkers," he entered an almost distinct category within his own path, due to the mutation of his abilities.

"Magnus, the ruin explorer, right?" he asked, and she nodded, so he continued. "Does that man belong to the organization?"

"He is our strongest pillar. He was the one who built this fortress deep within the capital. He is a truly powerful and legendary man," she replied.

Ryan nodded. He didn't expect to be in the same organization as that man; he is one of the most famous Walkers in the kingdom and one of the 10 most powerful S Walkers in the world.

"I'd like to meet him sometime," he thought.

Being a ruin explorer, he surely has a lot to tell and a lot to say about his discoveries.

And an example of this was the fact that he had built this fortress deep underground, on his own. Maybe he hadn't built it, but carving into this rock and preventing landslides was a clear example that this guy had supernatural abilities.

They soon reached the main section, where Martin was.

"I was waiting for you," he said, smiling.

"Thank you for your time, Mr. Martin," said Ryan, and he waved his hand to indicate that he shouldn't worry.

"Follow me and wear those necklaces; they're necessary to enter the Item Room," he said, wearing one himself.

The necklace was an item in itself.

"What are these necklaces for?" Cecily asked suddenly as she put it on without questioning it too much.

"Oh, right. I've never taken you there before," Martin replied. "There are certain very aggressive items in there that have their own rules. If you don't follow them, they might attack you. But their rules are ridiculous, so we just get rid of them using other items. They don't dare attack us because of the protection we receive."

"Aggressive items?" Cecily frowned. "Like the mirror?" she asked.

"Haha, no." He shook his head. "The mirror isn't really aggressive, it just brings out your inner demons to test you. These, on the other hand, can kill you on their own with a stab you'd never see coming, or they can simply curse you."

As they talked about it, they continued downstairs and soon found a man guarding the huge door...

Well, he was playing chess with the guards and had a bottle of the strongest liquor by his side. His laughter could be heard even from the stairs they had taken downhill.
