"The Prophet?"
Kyson repeated the name with curiosity.
Nodding, Grandmaster Virgo said, "That's right. The Prophet."
"From his name, you should be able to guess what he does."
"Anyway, The Prophet said at that time that Famigcia will combine itself with another world from a far place. And from there, the Lord mentioned in that text will appear."
"When the Lord gets the Egg of Fate, he will see the vision of the golden sea."
When he said this, Grandmaster Virgo smiled at Kyson.
"The fact that you saw the vision only means one thing."
"... I'm the Lord mentioned in that text?"
Kyson muttered with a hint of uncertainty.
"That's right!"
Grandmaster Virgo nodded.
"So take it. Take the egg with you. It rightfully belongs to you."
Kyson looked at the chest with the egg for a while, hesitating.
After thinking for a while, he finally stretched out his hand, closed the chest, and picked it up.
"Since you said all of those already, there is no reason for me not to take this."
"Thank you, Grandmaster Virgo."
With a smile, Grandmaster Virgo stretched out his hand and patted Kyson on the shoulder.
"If all the words written on the stone tablet are true, you should be someone who'll stand at the top in the future."
"Kid, keep it up."
After a few more talks, Kyson and Melody finally left the potion shop.
Alone, a serious look appeared on Grandmaster Virgo's face.
"Was it really right to give it to him now?"
He said aloud, as if talking to someone.
Unexpectedly, a voice actually answered his question.
"Whether it's right or wrong, we can only watch and see how things will go."
A few seconds later, a person walked out from the concoction room.
It was a man wearing a pure white long robe and a white dull mask on his face.
On the back of his head, a hardly noticeable white sacred halo could actually be seen.
The mysterious man stopped just a few steps behind Grandmaster Virgo and said,
"Now that the Egg of Fate is already in the hands of its owner, even I, The Prophet, cannot say that the future is still something that I can predict."
"... So the future will now be left in your hands, Kyson…"
The Prophet whispered in a low voice.
Waving his hand, a bright white and gold portal suddenly opened up in front of him.
After he walked inside it, the portal disappeared without a trace, leaving Grandmaster Virgo alone inside the quiet shop.
…
Feeling tired, Kyson and Melody directly went to the modern jeepney that is heading back to Porac City.
It was found in the same location they got off earlier.
And whether by coincidence or not, the driver of this modern jeepney is actually the same one as before.
When the driver saw the two of them walking towards him, he smiled and said,
"Hey, you two, how was your visit here in Vitri Town?"
"It was good, but…"
Kyson casually said as he shook his head with some emotions.
Looking at his reaction, the driver thought about something and said, "Ah! That's right!"
"There was a beast tide here earlier, right? How was it? Did you see the beast tide yourself?"
"He didn't just see it, he even directly participated and killed most of the monsters from that beast tide."
It was Kyson who answered this time but Melody.
From the way she speaks and the tone of her voice, admiration she has was clearly reflected.
Hearing her words, the driver was stunned for a few seconds before he reacted, "W-wow, you even fought the beast tide?"
"It seems you're a pretty powerful adventurer, huh. I admire you, brother!"
After a few small talks, Kyson and Melody finally got inside the jeepney.
Kyson sat down on the right side while Melody sat down on the left side.
Once they were finally seated, Kyson breathed a sigh of relief.
"Ahh… that was a really tiring day."
Leaning his back on his seat, Kyson finally got the chance to relax his nerves.
This day has been full of various happenings. From helping make potions to facing that presto guy to even fighting the beast tide, all kinds of things happened.
Thanks to that, Kyson felt that his mind was occupied by multiple thoughts thinking about everything that was going on.
But out of everything that happened, the one occupying his mind right now is the chest in his hands.
To be exact, he was thinking about the things that Grandmaster Virgo just told him.
Staring at the chest on his hands, he opened his lips and muttered, "A prophecy about me?"
"Am I really someone who can appear in a prophecy?"
"... Why does that prophecy even exist? What was it all about?"
Thoughts after thoughts flashed in his head, making Kyson feel that his head is about to burst.
Closing his eyes, Kyson took a deep breath again and again until his mind calmed down.
When he opened his eyes, Kyson was startled by what he saw.
"Eh?!"
Melody, who was sitting on the other side of the jeepney, suddenly appeared right beside him.
But what really startled Kyson was the fact that Melody was staring at him with her big watery eyes.
"Ah! Sorry, sorry. That was rude of me."
Realizing that she got caught, Melody's face turned into a healthy red and immediately apologized.
Her reaction made Kyson unable to resist letting out a laugh.
Melody immediately turned her eyes to him with an embarrassed face.
And in a small mosquito-like voice, she squeezed out the words, "Please don't laugh…"
"Hahahaha, alright, alright, I apologize. I won't laugh anymore."
"But really though, I didn't expect this."
Still with a red face, Melody glanced at Kyson and asked, "What is?"
"This, your reaction."
He chuckled for a bit and said, "Remember, we already met a few times in the bus and in the Adventurer Agency, right?"
"During those times, when I look at you, I think you're the 'cool' type of girl. You know, those types who seem calm and cool all the time."
Looking at her face, Kyson smiled and added, "But looking at you now, maybe I wasn't exactly right."
