Ved learnt from Avery that cultivation had become almost impossible. The ambient essence was polluted.

Both races were working on a formation that would purify the essence around a certain area.

There was already a working model but it ability to purify essence was very slow, not to mention it need for essence stones.

This increased the value of essence stones by manifolds. For multiple reasons, cultivating without them was very dangerous.

Plus the formation can also be used around cities to reduce the numbers of dark particles.

They learnt the formation cannot fully get rid of the dark particles but it can reduce them by a large margin.

So Ved's idea was earning essence stones, he already owned multiple essence stone mines.

The biggest being the mountain below him, it not only had essence stones but liquid essence as well which was even more potent.

However until the situation turns truly desperate to the point they no longer had any essence stones, he won't allow anybody to mine this mountain.

Avery reported everything that had been happening. After being fed water with his blood, the captured demonic beasts grew stronger and larger.

Even their reproductive ability became stronger. In only two months the chickens and the geese had already laid eggs.

The buffalo weren't as fast but by estimate, a few of them should be pregnant by the end of the year.

The grass on the plains of the mammoth clan grew as tall as a grown man within days after being watered by water mixed with his blood.

The humans already had such a system and he planned to adopt theirs. Essence stones were also divided into the seven grades.

Currently the highest grade essence stones they had were legendary and he only had four of them.

The rest were heaven grade down to mortal grade. The ratio between grades will be 1: 100.

He planned for a kilogramme of rank 1 meat to be worth 1 mortal grade spirit stone, rank 2 meat will be worth 1 earth grade spirit stone or 100 mortal grade spirit stones.

And so on and so forth. The same would go for crops except instead of a kilogramme it will be 10 kilogrammes.

That's only for food, for fruits that assist in cultivation, they will be much more expensive depending on their effects.

Nothing would be free from now, people would have to earn their living. He sighed, he didn't like this one bit.

After discussing with Avery he decided to announce the new alongside his desire to trade with humans.

This was very welcomed by the people especially Angelica whose eyes lit up at the mention of trading.

Fortunately he only allowed them to raise only one type of beast, well two in the case of the monkey clan.

He told them of they can find beasts who are low maintenance while having high nutrition, then he would allow them to rear them.

Just like that, time progressed and a year went by, he turned 117, a very old age by his old worlds standard but he was basically a child compared to his total lifespan.

During the past year a lot of things happened, the buffaloes gave birth, with the enhancement of his blood not one gave birth to only a single calf.

The average was four with only a few giving birth to only two. The chickens and geese were the most impressive.

They laid hundreds of eggs each. The crops grew strong and tall and the harvest was more than expected.

Mostly because of his blood but also because the fields were surrounded by the purification formation as it was called.

A lot of jobs were created but he had to admit there were still a lot more of his people without any work.

He hired more caretakers to look after his living quarters and take care of his daily meals.

While he was not as effected as others, he was still effected and didn't want to wait until he was hungry to eat.

But he did eat only small portions. Avery also hired a few assistance which he understood.

She had a lot on her plate, the only issue was that she only hired members of her clan which was just blatant nepotism.

However he had to admit that members of her clan, the Ravera clan were very intelligent.

Which is why they became the merchants, their merchant group was under his command but mostly made decisions themselves.

Their jobs was to trade between him and the humans. He didn't have a lot of things he wanted from the humans except their technology.

Their flying ships, cannons, formations and more. Even when it comes to medicine, very few beasts like Evergreen had any talent to it.

He also created a proper army, unlike before where they were just groups who came together to fight.

This time he created a proper army with White as one of the commanders. Most of people went to the army.

It was understandable, most beasts didn't have any talent towards anything else but fighting.

Linglong and her people chose to subordinates themselves under him. Ved created a sort of council with her as the vice leader.

There were other important members in that council, each member a leader of their group.

Right now that council was having a meeting when a leopard ran through the doors in a hurry.

He bowed low. " My lords, it's the crickets, they're back."
