The ship docked and the delegation came out. They stood facing the humans in their beast forms which were quite large.

" Should we find a place to hold the negotiations?" Aira asked with a smile. " No, here is fine." Replied the leader of the delegation, a member of the Ravera clan.

The humans raised their eyebrows, they were at a beach. Suddenly a massive warthog stood forward.

It stomped it foot on the ground causing the sand to shake. Then a massive earth castle rose from the ground.

Everybody went inside and the castle was huge enough to accommodate all of them including the massive forms of the beast race.

The leaders of each group took a seat then the negotiations started. The beasts were trying to negotiate a higher price for their products.

The humans were trying to get it cheaper. White looked around at the people sitting on the table.

She was bored out of her mind, she thought there might be a fight along the way which is why she volunteered to come out in the first place.

Ved didn't allow her to just wonder off outside which is partly why he made her captain of the army.

By giving her responsibility he managed to find a valid reason to lock her up. She hated it but she also understood it was his way to show he cares.

Suddenly she felt the temperature drop, it had been two years since the start of the plague and now there was a change.

Aira the leader of the humans stood up fast almost knocking down her chair then she frowned.

" It's not her." She whispered. White had no idea who she was talking about nor did she care.

They all looked outside and saw snow falling. However unlike normal snow this was black snow.

And it was extremely cold, so cold infact it was actually effecting them. " Close the windows."

Barked the bird from the Ravera clan, White didn't like this guy, he was too full of himself and he even thought he could boss her around.

" This snow contains the dark particles, it ignores your cultivation rank so don't think you can handle it just because you're strong."

Said the human woman named Aira. While they were barking orders White suddenly heard something ring.

She took out what looked like a cellphone but it was highly advanced and used essence energy.

It was one of the creations of the humans, it made communication better and faster however it was strangely cutting.

" Ma'am the ca..is...com..s.ng faster than we ...cted." she could barely hear what the man was saying but the smug bastard figured it out immediately.

She had to admit this bird was very smart. " The cargo is decomposing." He said with a grim voice.

This not only caught her attention but that of humans as well. They needed the supplies in that ship.

The bird ignited in black flames and flew to the ship. While the cold can ignore any physical enhancement that came as a result of cultivation it was still coldness.

Fire can still keep it at bay. White followed him, while she didn't have any fire abilities she did have lightning and telekinesis.

When they arrived they found one sack of rice and an entire leg of a buffalo frozen solid but they were frozen in black ice.

Inside they can see them rotting rapidly. The rest of the cargo was placed around a fire keeping them warm.

It was quite ironic, normally food would be placed in cold places to keep fresh but now, it needs to be warm.

To be more specific it just needs to be kept far away from black snow effect. However keeping meat in a warm place for long was not a good idea.

Suddenly the Ravera clan member came up with an idea. A double layered formation he called it.

The moment he proposed the idea the eyes of Aira and Alya lit up. The two of them also studied arrays.

Especially Aira, her vessel was actually attuned to arrays, specifically trapping and barrier arrays.

And what they planned to create here was a barrier type array, her speciality. They immediately started working.

The interior of the barrier will be freezingly cold to keep the meat fresh but the outer layer with be burning hot to keep out the cold from the black snow.

Cold on the inside and burning hot outside. The formation was not complicated for them and was finished pretty quickly.

But by then they had already lost around 4 percent of the cargo. With that done the negotiations with the humans continued.

However this time they happened pretty quickly, everybody was rushing to get home quickly.

Angelica informed them if they stay any longer the sea might freeze over making it impossible to set sail after.

They had hoped to purchase a flying ship from the humans but the time for that was gone, it was saved for next time.

After the negotiations they left with an empty ship and boxes of essence stones. The journey home was long.

They kept wondering how the situation was back home but eventually they got there and realised how unfounded their worries were.

The snow barely managed to piece through the world barrier. The dark particles were intangible in the truest sense so they could go past the barrier but not snow.

Even the small amount of black snow that managed to form inside the minor world was quickly contained.

Linglong could control the weaker quite effectively and Ved could too using the formation that controls this world.

With the two of them working together the minor world was the only warm spot in the entire world.

They went to report to Ved but of course with the exception of a few, everybody had to go through Avery, even members of her own clan.

The reason for that was simple, Bed tried meeting and communicating directly with his subject but they all just tried to suck to him.

Eventually he decided Avery would be the one to report directly to him and them to her.
