My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 371: Ocean World

「On the other side.」

Lin Feng took his three little huskies and the other children from their class to the spider pavilion. There were all kinds of spiders on display; some were preserved specimens, while others were models. Even the models were so lifelike that they looked real. Brief introductions were posted for each exhibit, so parents could explain anything the children didn't understand.

The triplets could recognize about seventy or eighty percent of the characters on the placards. Aside from a few complex or obscure words they couldn't decipher, they had no trouble reading most of them.

A parent standing nearby exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, your kids can recognize so many characters already?"

Lin Feng nodded. "Mm-hmm."

"Which cram school do they go to?"

Lin Feng shook his head. "They don't go to any. We haven't intentionally taught them, so they probably learned from reading storybooks."

The other parent was clearly skeptical. "Reading stories can be that effective?"

Lin Feng wasn't concerned whether they believed him or not. "Mm-hmm."

San Bao, despite being a girl, wasn't the least bit afraid of the hairy tarantulas. It's like I have three sons and one daughter, Lin Feng thought.

When they came out, Zhang Yuxi and the other children were already well-rested. Lin Feng first turned to his sons. "What do you want to eat?" Then he asked Zhang Yuxi, "What about you? Is there anything you'd like?"

Zhang Yuxi shook her head. "We've had plenty. You guys go ahead and eat."

Knowing the ravenous appetites in his family, Lin Feng had bought a lot of food on his way back. The children wolfed everything down, a sight the couple found both endearing and amusing.

"Slow down, eat slowly..."

It wasn't long before the three huskies were full and ready for their next adventure.

Zhang Yuxi was speechless. Seeing that San Bao seemed uninterested, she asked, "Do you want to go?"

Little Rui's mother came over. "Let's all go together. Miss Rabbit just said we're going to see a movie called 'Ocean World.'"

Just as she spoke, Miss Rabbit arrived. "The IMAX Dome theater's screen has a diameter of twenty-five meters and can accommodate more than three hundred spectators," she announced. "The projection equipment uses an IMAX single-projector system, ensuring the image is clear and stable. The screen is tilted at a thirty-degree angle. With the screen all around you, you'll have an incredible sensation of floating and total immersion."

The parents thought it sounded like fun, so they took their children to check it out.

Just as Miss Rabbit had described, the screen was enormous, covering the entire ceiling above them. The seats were tilted as well.

"Parents and children, please take your seats in an orderly fashion," Miss Rabbit said. "'Ocean World' will begin shortly. The film is about five minutes long, so it won't take up too much time. I'll be waiting for you all at the door!"

Everyone found a seat. By chance, San Bao sat next to Little Rui.

Little Rui smiled and asked, "Do you like watching movies?"

San Bao gave a sweet, polite smile. "I like watching cartoons!"

Lin Feng still had some of the snacks he'd bought earlier. He passed them around—what could be better than eating while watching a movie?

A voice boomed from the projection room. "Welcome, children and adults. We are about to begin our feature, 'Ocean World.' What secrets does the mysterious ocean hold? Let's find out today…"

As the voiceover spoke, the lights gradually dimmed, and an image materialized on the screen above. The sound of bubbling water filled the theater. A sea turtle swam toward them from the distance, and as it drew near, it glided right over their heads. The children gasped in unison, their faces filled with wonder. The visual impact was stunning; it was as if they were truly in the ocean, surrounded by schools of fish.

Then, a shark approached from the side, its mouth snapping open as it lunged forward. Some of the more timid children cried out in fear. San Bao immediately dove into Lin Feng's arms. "Daddy…"

Lin Feng lifted her from her seat and soothed her. "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid. Daddy's right here. It's all fake, not real… Look, it's swimming right over our heads now, see?"

San Bao looked up and saw the shark gliding overhead, and she let out a sigh of relief.

Next came scenes of beautiful coral reefs and clownfish, along with many other sea creatures. The babies couldn't stop exclaiming in amazement.

"Wow, it's so pretty…"

"I know, that's a clownfish! I saw the movie about it, it was so good!"

"I know how to swim! One day I'll swim in the real sea!"

"If I could become a shark, I'd be the most powerful of all!"

"I want to be a shark too..."

Listening to their children's chatter, the parents couldn't help but smile.

Just then, the most breathtaking scene of all appeared. Approaching from the distance was a massive humpback whale. Its song echoed throughout the entire theater. As it came closer, everyone instinctively held their breath, their eyes wide with awe. Many of the children had never heard of a humpback whale, and even for those who had, this was their first time seeing such an immense creature up close.

Just as it neared them, the image on screen showed it suddenly leaping out of the water.

WOW!

Waves splashed right at them with such realism that it felt as if they would be swept away. The humpback whale then swam slowly over their heads. Its calls grew fainter and fainter, and as the sound faded completely, the whale disappeared from view.

Lin Feng checked the time; the movie was about to end. Sure enough, as the underwater world returned to a state of calm, the film concluded. The theater lights came on and the screen went dark, but the parents and children were still captivated by the stunning visuals they had just witnessed.

Miss Rabbit walked back in, smiling. "Alright, everyone, it's time to go!"

Lin Feng left the theater carrying San Bao and holding Zhang Yuxi's hand.

"Let's go, there are just a few more places to see…" Miss Rabbit said cheerfully.

But Zhang Yuxi didn't want to walk anymore, and Er Bao was too lazy to move either. Er Bao figured that as long as his dad carried him, he could still manage to wander around a bit. While the others went on, Er Bao and San Bao began to doze off.

Less than three minutes later, a sleepy Er Bao mumbled, "Mommy, I want to go sleepy-sleep…"

Zhang Yuxi picked him up. "Come here, Mommy will hold you while you sleep."

Er Bao yawned in her arms. "You work so hard, Mommy!"

Zhang Yuxi kissed him. "It's no trouble at all. Go to sleep."

Meanwhile, San Bao had quickly fallen asleep in Lin Feng's arms. Half an hour later, the couple exchanged a look and couldn't help but laugh. The half-hour nap was just what the two kids needed. When they were woken up, they were full of energy again.

But now, besides Si Bao, Da Bao was getting sleepy too.

So Lin Feng carried Da Bao, Zhang Yuxi carried Si Bao, and they all followed Mr. Li home.

After they got back, Da Bao and Er Bao woke up, but now it was Si Bao who was tired. So, he took Si Bao off to bed. The other babies played in the living room while Zhang Yuxi lay down on the sofa, resting her head on Lin Feng's lap, and quickly dozed off as well.

Once Zhang Yuxi was asleep, Lin Feng carefully carried her upstairs. "You guys play nicely in the living room," he told the kids. "Don't go outside into the yard. Daddy is taking Mommy for a nap and will be right back down."

After settling Zhang Yuxi in, he went downstairs to check on Si Bao. Returning to the living room, he saw the children were playing obediently, so he went to the kitchen to make them some watermelon juice.

Er Bao trotted over. "Daddy, we want ice pops!"

Without turning around, Lin Feng replied, "Okay, Daddy will make you some watermelon-flavored ones."

"Yay! Daddy's the best! Er Bao loves Daddy the most!"

It's the popsicles you love, not me, Lin Feng mused with a smile. The watermelon juice he'd just made was perfect for the task. He added some ice cubes to help them freeze faster. "Come and get them!"

He only let the children have a little, afraid their stomachs couldn't handle it. He didn't put them in the freezer because they were too impatient to wait that long.

Lin Feng started preparing dinner when his cell phone rang. Da Bao dashed over with it. "Daddy, someone's calling you!"

Lin Feng gestured for Da Bao to put it on the counter and switched it to speakerphone. The caller ID showed an unknown number.

"Hello, may I ask who's speaking?"

"It's me, Wang Yao..."
