My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 377 Daddy Becomes a Director

As soon as they got home, the four treasures eagerly took out their new toys and began to play. Lin Feng moved Sanbao's violin, drum set, and other instruments into her room.

"Have fun playing," Lin Feng said with a smile. "Daddy's going downstairs to get busy."

Sanbao pursed her lips. "Thank you, Daddy! You must be tired."

Lin Feng lovingly patted her head. "Good girl. Daddy's not tired at all."

Only Sanbao's new instruments needed assembly; the other children's toys could be played with right out of the box.

While Lin Feng was in the kitchen cooking dinner, Zhang Yuxi took turns playing a thief and then a sick patient with the children. After just twenty minutes, she was already starting to feel tired.

She went into the kitchen. "Honey, playing with the kids is exhausting!"

Lin Feng gave her a peck on the cheek. "You've had a tough time."

Zhang Yuxi felt she was the last person who deserved such praise. No one worked harder than Lin Feng. Besides occasionally looking after the children, she was completely taken care of, barely needing to lift a finger. She felt a little ashamed. "Honey, I'm not tired at all. You're the one who's truly working hard!"

After Zhang Yuxi left the kitchen, Dabao and Sibao took turns playing cops and robbers. Meanwhile, Erbao played the role of a mother carrying her "sick child" to the hospital.

After dinner, Lin Feng clapped his hands. "Alright, everyone! Daddy will be the director, and we're going to put on a play. How does that sound?"

"Yay!" the four children cheered.

Lin Feng laid out the plot. "Erbao, you're a mother. One day, your child gets sick, so you take your baby to the hospital. On the way, you run into a thief, played by Sibao, who tries to rob you. You cry out for help, and just then, a passing policeman, played by Dabao, shows up and catches the thief. Then, Dabao helps you take the baby to the hospital. After a series of checkups, the baby gets all better. That's the basic story. You all can start acting. Mommy and I will watch from over here."

The couple settled onto the sofa to watch their children's live-action show. These little ones were natural actors, and for them, this was no pressure at all.

Erbao was imitating Lin Feng, calling her doll "darling" over and over as she cooed at it.

"Oh, dear! What's wrong with my child? Are you sick?" Erbao said dramatically. "Child, tell Mommy, are you sick? Where does it hurt? Oh, dear, I forgot you're still too young to talk."

When they had acted out "Snow White," Erbao had already revealed her comedic talent. The couple couldn't help but chuckle.

Erbao expertly wrapped the "child" in a blanket and headed for the door. The way she left the "house," grabbed her bag, and put on her shoes was a perfect imitation of Zhang Yuxi herself.

Once out of the "house," Sibao, playing the thief, swooped in with what he clearly thought was lightning speed to snatch Erbao's bag.

Zhang Yuxi heckled from the side, "Sibao, that's not very professional! Aren't you supposed to cover your face with something?"

Sibao realized she was right and immediately called a timeout. "Hang on! I need to find something to cover my face!"

"Hurry up! I was in the middle of a great scene!" Erbao urged.

Zhang Yuxi and Lin Feng, watching from the sidelines, were cracking up. Their kids were just too funny.

Finally, Sibao found a face mask. "Okay, I'm ready!" he announced, and the two resumed the play.

Erbao began to struggle, shouting, "Help! A thief! Somebody, help me!"

Just then, Dabao's voice boomed, "I'm coming!" and he jumped into the fray.

Dabao and Sibao were soon locked in a tangled struggle, clearly getting caught up in their play fight. This wasn't going according to the script at all! Erbao, the victim, finally interrupted them. "Hey! Are you two done yet? I've been waiting forever!"

Dabao and Sibao both looked over, apparently just now remembering their roles.

Dabao bellowed, "Thief! Where do you think you're going?"

Sibao immediately burst into tears. "I know I was wrong! I'll never do it again, I swear! Please, forgive me just this once! I have an eighty-year-old mother to care for and young children at home! They can't live without me!"

"An eighty-year-old mother?" Zhang Yuxi nearly died laughing. "Honey, where on earth did he learn that?"

Lin Feng shook his head. "I have no idea. Children are sponges; they can hear an adult say something just once and remember it forever."

Dabao snorted coldly. "Come with me!"

With that, he "locked up" Sibao and issued a stern warning. "You can't leave without my permission!"

Sibao pulled a long face. "Alright."

By now, Erbao was getting impatient. "Hurry up and let's go! My baby's fading fast!"

When they arrived at the "hospital," Sanbao, making a cameo as the doctor, gave the Barbie doll a very serious check-up. "She has a cold. She needs a shot!"

Her little face was stern, full of a gravity that made it seem all too real.

"A shot? Is it serious?" Erbao asked.

Sanbao nodded gravely. "Very serious!"

With that, she picked up a toy syringe, flipped the Barbie doll over, and gave its bottom a firm jab. Then came another round of examinations.

Sanbao's face was somber as she delivered the news. "I'm sorry, but the child's condition has worsened."

Erbao was stunned for a moment. "What do we do?"

"Another shot should do the trick," Sanbao said calmly. She then gave the Barbie doll another injection.

Zhang Yuxi collapsed into Lin Feng's arms, howling with laughter. Hahaha, this was just too hilarious!

Next, Sanbao fed some "medicine" to the Barbie doll. She said very solemnly, "You have to give the baby this medicine on time, understand?"

"Okay, no problem," Erbao nodded.

Then, she took her "child" home.

When the performance ended, the proud parents showered their children with praise. "Excellent! That was a splendid performance!"

Lin Feng found it delightful. "You all can make up your own stories to act out from now on!"

Zhang Yuxi nodded. "Oh, that's a great idea! You can all work together to act out all sorts of different stories."

The children's eyes lit up when they heard this. What a fantastic idea!

After that, the children were completely hooked. They came up with an endless variety of creatively modified stories to perform. Tonight, for instance, was *The Three Little Pigs*.

This time, everyone except for Sanbao participated in the play. Now that Sanbao had her new instruments, she was completely absorbed in playing them.

Lin Feng had an idea.

Zhang Yuxi was also participating, playing Mother Pig.

Erbao directed her, "Mom, you're Mother Pig. In a minute, after you 'give birth' to us, you're supposed to tell us to go out and build our own houses."

Zhang Yuxi was happy to make a guest appearance. "Sure!"

They all knew the story of *The Three Little Pigs* by heart. Zhang Yuxi pretended to give birth and soon produced three little piglets. "Oh, my adorable children..." she cooed, then her tone shifted abruptly. "You're all grown up now. It's time for you to go out and find houses of your own."

Dabao, Sibao, and Sanbao stood up and bid their mother farewell.

Erbao was cast as the Big Bad Wolf. She put on a greedy expression. "Wow, look at those three plump little piggies. So cute! They must be delicious."

The three little pigs decided to split up and each build a house. So, the three of them pretended to get busy building.

Before long, Erbao, as the Big Bad Wolf, arrived. She huffed and puffed at Dabao's straw house, and it collapsed.

Dabao covered his face. "Oh no, my house!"

"Hahaha, little piggy, I'm coming for you!" Erbao chased after him.

Dabao ran and found refuge in Sibao's house.

"Why are you here?" Sibao asked.

"There's a Big Bad Wolf outside..."

Then Erbao pretended to huff and puff, reminding them of the plot, "Your wooden house has been blown down!"

So, Dabao and Sibao ran to Sanbao's house. "My house is very strong," Sanbao declared. "It's made of stone. The wolf can't do anything to it."

Erbao stood outside, shouting, "You three little pigs, come on out! I'm going to eat you up!"

After shouting for a bit, the play ended.

Zhang Yuxi and Lin Feng lavished them with praise again. They both thought it was a wonderful development, letting the children bring stories to life on their own.
