My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 380: Daddy I love you so much!

After dropping the children off at school, Zhang Yuxi also had to go to her own class. This semester, she was up for the Outstanding Teacher award. It was a sure thing, and everyone knew it. Zhang Yuxi didn't take this honor too seriously, though. She just wanted to do her job well; caring too much about such things could easily become a burden. Approaching her fifth year on the job, Zhang Yuxi had already become a prominent figure at the school.

Lin Feng returned home and began preparing the children's lunch. Life was falling back into its familiar rhythm.

When he picked up the children from school that evening, representatives from various educational institutions were already handing out flyers.

On the way home, Second Baby suddenly announced she wanted to learn Taekwondo.

Lin Feng glanced at her in surprise. "Didn't you say you didn't want to learn before?"

Second Baby smiled. "I was little back then! But now the teacher says I'm a big kid, so I can learn, right?"

Well, that did make some sense. They were indeed young back then, too busy playing to even think about learning something new.

Lin Feng told her earnestly, "Second Baby, you have to think this through. If you decide to learn, you have to stick with it. You can't quit halfway, understand?"

"That means you can't just learn for one day and then quit the next. Or learn for a while, decide it's too hard, and then give up!"

Second Baby patted her chest. "Don't worry, Dad! I'll study hard."

Lin Feng was a little puzzled as to why she suddenly wanted to learn.

By dinnertime, it wasn't just Second Baby. First Baby and Fourth Baby wanted to learn Taekwondo too.

Such a sudden change must have a reason.

After dinner was over and everything was tidied up, Lin Feng slowly drew out the full story during a casual chat. It turned out that a little girl in their class had just returned from a Taekwondo competition that day. She had even demonstrated a few moves quite impressively. The three of them—one who loved Transformers, one who loved Ultraman, and one who was a tomboy—were instantly enthralled after watching her.

They had each taken a trial Taekwondo class before and disliked it, expressing no interest, so the matter had been dropped.

After confirming with them repeatedly, the three little huskies declared they would not change their minds.

"Alright, Dad will make the arrangements for you to go learn," Lin Feng said, saving the contact number from the flyer.

The classes were on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. Lin Feng thought it over and decided to talk with Third Baby's tutors to see if their lessons could be adjusted slightly, perhaps to run from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. After some discussion, Third Baby's three tutors agreed to adjust their lesson times. And with that, the matter was settled.

That Wednesday, Lin Feng took the children to their Taekwondo class. While the three little huskies went inside, Lin Feng paid the fees. There were many other kids their age, including a few of their classmates, though they were in different sessions.

After class, Lin Feng hurriedly took the children home. Although the Taekwondo class was scheduled for an hour, the actual instruction was only about thirty minutes. The last part was free practice, and they were usually let out by 6:20 PM.

Lin Feng got home right at 6:30 PM, just in time to meet one of the tutors at the entrance to their residential community. This violin tutor was a pretty and graceful young woman in her early twenties, and the children all liked her.

She waved at the kids. "Are you tired?"

The three little huskies were full of energy and not tired at all.

The tutor followed Third Baby upstairs for his lesson, while Lin Feng quickly poured some juice and got out some snacks for the children to tide them over until dinner.

"Go wash your hands before you eat!" Lin Feng called out to the children in the living room as he headed upstairs.

He knocked on the door to the music room, and the tutor opened it. Lin Feng handed her a plate with the drinks and snacks. "Please, continue. I won't disturb you."

He went back downstairs to the kitchen to cook dinner. He had already prepared all the ingredients that afternoon, and the rice was steaming on a timer. All that was left was to stir-fry the main dishes. Checking the time, he decided he would start stir-frying just before the lesson was scheduled to end.

Zhang Yuxi came home. "I'm back!"

Lin Feng's voice drifted from the kitchen. "Once Third Baby finishes his lesson, we can have dinner."

At the entryway, the children rushed to greet their mother as usual.

Zhang Yuxi hugged them. "How was Taekwondo today? Are you tired?"

All three little huskies declared that it wasn't tiring at all—it was fun!

Not long after, the violin tutor came downstairs with Third Baby. It was Third Baby's second violin lesson, and his tutor gave him a glowing review.

She said with a very serious expression, "If you nurture him well, he will surely become a genius in the future!"

"I'm not joking. Your son has an incredible talent in this field!"

"You have the means to provide him with the very best opportunities."

Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi exchanged a glance. Third Baby had shown an unusual aptitude for music from a very young age. They had never deliberately tried to interfere with whether he would pursue this path when he grew up. They felt it was important for their children to have a wonderful childhood and to make their own choices when the time was right.

It seemed Third Baby was on the right path.

The piano tutor also spoke with the couple at length. All three of his tutors gave him extremely high praise, agreeing that he was exceptionally talented. With the right nurturing, his future was limitless.

After seeing the tutors off, the couple called the children to dinner. On the surface, everything seemed the same as always.

But later, Lin Feng went to Third Baby's room alone to talk about what his tutors had said.

"Your tutors said our Third Baby is amazing!"

"It seems like you really like all this, don't you?"

Third Baby nodded. "Dad, they make me happy."

Lin Feng smiled. "That's great. Keep studying hard, but know that Mom and Dad will never pressure you."

"Do whatever you love. No matter what you choose, Mom and Dad will always support you. Our family will always be your strongest pillar of support."

Third Baby rested his head on Lin Feng's lap. "Daddy..."

"Hmm?"

"I love you so much!"

"I love you too, baby!"

"I super-duper love you!"

"Me too!"

Third Baby wasn't very expressive and was usually a quiet child.

After talking for a while, the father and son said goodnight to each other.
