Aiden walked through the long corridor of the church, hands tucked in his coat pockets.
The soft click of shoes echoed behind him—his wives in a chaotic cluster of chatter and laughter.
His wives were in their human disguise.
"Umm… why didn't the Princess come?" Nyxion asked, tail flicking lazily as she adjusted her hair.
"She said she had unfinished work," Lysandra replied, shifting little Leona in her arms.
Leona blinked up at her, playing with the end of Lysandra's braid.
"Hey, guys…" Thristle's voice chimed out in a sing-song tone.
Everyone looked at her.
She grinned. "We're in a church, right?"
"Yeah?" Nyxion said, narrowing her eyes suspiciously.
"Then—" Thristle's grin widened. "Let's just have our wedding ceremony right here!"
"YES!" Serica jumped forward, eyes sparkling like she just heard her favorite song. "Yes yes yes! Child Of Prophecy, let's do it! Can we?"
Aiden stopped mid-step and looked back at her with a chuckle. "You're serious?"
"Completely!" Serica threw both arms up dramatically. "We're in a church! It's destiny!"
Aiden laughed, shaking his head. "I see no problems in that."
Luna's eyes lit up instantly. "Me too! Let's do it, Master!" She cried, hugging his arm tightly, rubbing her cheek against it.
"Sir, me too," Lysandra added, soft but steady, trying to sound noble and utterly failing to hide her blush.
Nyxion raised her hand high, tail swaying. "Count me in, Heartlord. I look good in white."
"Me… to then," Varra mumbled shyly, tugging at her sleeves.
Selvaria turned away, crossing her arms, her cheeks flushed. "I'm not doing this to make you happy or anything…"
Venya practically tackled Aiden from behind. "Venya in! If Master's doing it, Venya doing it!"
Aiden blinked, looking like he was surrounded by a storm of women—again. "Hmm… this is escalating."
Vegia sighed, face red. "Count me out of this madness."
"Same here." Ivy said, looking away, dead panned.
Zerra leaned in close, smirking. "I don't mind marrying the Hero though."
Aiden rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm sensing a trap somewhere in that statement."
"I guess I'm in too…" Arisha said softly, hiding her face behind her hair.
Valeforia suddenly grabbed Thristle's and Aethoniel's hands. "We too!" She shouted proudly.
"Eh?" Thristle and Aethoniel said in perfect unison, looking at each other in panic.
Everyone burst out laughing.
And then Leona tugged Lysandra's sleeve, eyes wide. "Can I marry Daddy too?"
Aiden froze mid-laugh. "Huh?"
Lysandra blinked rapidly. "Leona…"
Aiden turned toward her with a big grin. "Ohhh, you wanna marry Daddy too, huh?" He pinched her cheek.
Leona pouted immediately. "Daddy mean."
Aiden laughed softly. "Alright, alright, maybe later, Princess."
Leona puffed up her cheeks. "I'll remember that."
The group kept moving, still laughing and chatting, voices overlapping like a storm of personality.
Serica nudged Thrsitle. "So, when we do this wedding thing, I'm taking the centre, got it?"
"Like hell you are!" Theist e barked. "I've known My King longer!"
Luna tightened her grip on Aiden's arm. "Master belongs to me first!"
Lysandra gave her a dignified glare. "We all share him, Luna. That's the rule."
Luna huffed. "Moo… that's not fair."
Nyxion chuckled under her breath. "You're all adorable when you fight for him."
Venya poked Nyxion's side. "You're not innocent either."
"Didn't say I was." Nyxion winked.
"Alright, enough," Aiden said, half-smiling, half-defeated. "You're gonna get us kicked out before we even reach the chapel."
Thristle raised her hand like she was answering a teacher. "Question!"
Aiden groaned. "What now?"
"Can we at least make vows? Like, real ones. I wanna say something dramatic!"
"You mean embarrassing," Nyxion corrected.
"Same thing," Thristle shot back.
Selvaria sighed. "This feels more like a parade than a holy visit."
Vegia muttered under her breath, "Because it is a parade…"
"Don't ruin it," Thristle said.
They finally reached the grand doors of the chapel.
"Here we are," Aiden said, glancing up.
Selvaria frowned. "Why are we here, again?"
"Because that busty priestess invited us," Thristle answered instantly.
"Busty… priestess?" Selvaria repeated slowly.
"Yeah," Thristle nodded. "You know, the one with the big—"
"Stop." Lysandra cut her off, her eye twitching.
Aiden sighed. "Thristle, please."
Thristle just grinned. "What? It's not my fault she's built like divine architecture."
Luna smacked Thristle's arm lightly. "Don't say that in front of Master."
"Why not? He's got eyes."
"I'll pluck them out," Luna said sweetly.
Everyone snorted laughing.
"Alright, ready or not," Aiden said, placing a hand on the door. "I'm opening it."
"Wait—" Selvaria started, but he pushed it open anyway.
The sound that came out was pure melody.
A woman's voice, singing the divine office, echoing in gentle waves. The air felt soft, calm, almost glowing.
"Wow!" Luna gasped. "Her voice is so good."
"It's really good for the ears," Serica whispered, her usual energy dimming with awe.
Leona tilted her head. *Another Mummy,* She thought with childish confusion.
Aiden smirked quietly at her expression and walked to a pew. The others followed, some quietly, some still whispering.
Luna leaned against him instantly. "Master…"
He didn't respond, eyes fixed on the front.
"Master."
Still nothing.
"Master!" Luna cried, shaking his sleeve.
"W-what?" Aiden blinked.
Luna puffed her cheeks. "Moo… don't ignore me."
Aiden chuckled and ruffled her hair. "Aren't you adorable?"
Luna melted instantly, pressing her head into his hand. "Master…" She purred softly.
Nyxion leaned forward from the next seat. "You spoil her too much."
"Jealous?" Aiden teased.
Nyxion smirked. "Maybe."
Selvaria crossed her arms. "This is ridiculous behavior in a church."
"Relax," Thristle said, slouching against the pew. "It's not like lightning's gonna hit us."
Varra gasped dramatically. "Don't say that out loud!"
Thristle laughed. "What? Afraid the gods are eavesdropping?"
Venya giggled quietly. "They might be."
Lysandra looked over, whispering, "Everyone, please, lower your voices."
But that lasted three seconds.
"Hey, Chile Of Prophecy," Serica whispered loudly, "if we were to do the wedding, who'd you pick first?"
Aiden sighed. "You're really gonna start this here?"
"Of course," Thristle said, leaning back. "Priority list. Gotta know."
Luna pouted. "Master's first wife is me."
"Bold claim," Nyxion said.
"It's true!" Luna declared.
Aiden tried to look composed. "We're not ranking anyone."
"Coward's answer," Thristle teased.
"Smart answer," Aiden corrected.
Selvaria shook her head. "You're impossible."
Zerra chuckled under her breath. "He's charming though."
Venya leaned forward. "So, if this isn't a wedding, what is it?"
Aiden shrugged. "Apparently, it's an invitation by someone who sings like an angel."
"Or like a siren," Thristle added. "Watch out, she might steal your heart, My King."
Luna's ears perked. "She can try."
Lysandra pinched the bridge of her nose. "You all act like children sometimes."
Leona tilted her head again. "We're having a wedding?"
"Not yet, sweetheart," Lysandra said gently.
Leona frowned. "Then why everyone so noisy?"
Aiden chuckled. "That's just… how your Mummies are."
Thristle snorted. "Mummies, plural. You say that so casually."
"Because it's true," Aiden said.
Nyxion grinned. "You do make it sound kind of sweet, Heartlord."
Selvaria mumbled, "Sickeningly sweet."
"Someone's jealous," Venya teased.
"I'm not," Selvaria snapped, cheeks pink.
"Sure," Thristle said with a smirk.
Luna tugged on Aiden's sleeve again, whispering, "Master, can we really get married here?"
He looked down at her soft blue eyes, smiled faintly. "Do you really want that, Luna?"
Her tail wagged fast. "Mhm! Right now!"
"Slow down, we don't even have rings."
"We can use magic rings!" Serica suggested instantly. "Problem solved!"
"Or flower rings," Varra said shyly.
"Or my hair ribbon!" Luna offered.
"Or my tail," Nyxion said.
Aiden turned toward her. "Your tail?"
Nyxion's grin widened. "What? Symbol of eternal bond. Sounds poetic."
Thristle howled laughing. "That's ridiculous—and I love it."
"Let's just sit quietly for once," Lysandra pleaded.
Aiden sighed in mock despair. "Why did I even come here…"
Nyxion leaned her chin on her hand. "Because you love us, Heartlord."
Luna nodded seriously. "Master loves us all."
"Too much, maybe," Lysandra muttered.
Aiden smiled faintly.
The music swelled again from the front—pure and ethereal. For a brief moment, everyone quieted.
Leona whispered, "Daddy, she sounds happy."
Aiden nodded. "Yeah… she does."
Luna looked up at him softly. "Master looks happy too."
He smiled and placed a hand over hers. "How could I not be?"
Luna blushed hard, her tail wagging uncontrollably.
Nyxion groaned quietly. "They're doing that thing again."
Thristle snickered. "The 'I love you but I'm pretending I'm not blushing' thing?"
Selvaria stood up, whispering under her breath, "I can't take this anymore," and moved two seats away.
Serica leaned toward Aiden again. "So, we're really not doing a ceremony?"
"Not unless you plan to drag the priestess into it," Aiden said.
Thristle perked up. "Ohhh I could!"
Venya giggled. "Thristle'd actually do it though."
"Damn right I would."
Luna sighed dramatically. "Master… they're all crazy."
Aiden smiled. "You're all crazy."
Lysandra hugged Leona thighter, brushing her hair gently. "Leona, dear, don't listen to them."
Leona nodded, whispering, "Mummies loud."
Aiden laughed quietly. "You're not wrong."
The group sat in a strangely peaceful silence for a moment—the calm after all that chaos.
Then Thristle whispered again, "So… we're still doing the wedding later, right?"
Aiden groaned. "We'll see."
"'We'll see' means yes!" Serica cheered.
Nyxion smirked. "Poor man's trapped."
"Willingly trapped," Aiden corrected with a grin.
Luna leaned against his shoulder, smiling softly. "That's why we love you, Master."
He looked around—Lysandra's calm gaze, Nyxion's sly smile, Arisha's shy glance, Thristle's wicked grin, and Leona's innocent eyes.
And he laughed under his breath. "Yeah… I know."
