The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 112: 112 Begging the master for mercy and compassion

Twelve colored smoke pillars flew out side by side, and Shi Feiyang clasped his hands together to form a secret spell, with the six pillars on the left splitting into two groups. First, a Guihua Divine Gang struck head-on at the young monk who was wielding a knife to gouge out eyes and cut out tongues, instantly smashing his physical body into pieces, with flesh, bones, and blood turning into yellow specks, rapidly absorbed by the Flower Evil Divine Gang. His Three Souls and Seven Spirits were also scattered, each transforming into a small yellow flower.

The remaining five pillars formed two arcs that swept up all fifteen protector monks in front of the Dharma Platform, shattering and enveloping them into the Gang Sha Qi.

His right hand controlled another six smoke pillars, which flew straight toward Varnagyin II and Kāyīn Shābù, who were seated atop the Dharma Platform.

Upon seeing the colored smoke rise, the two demon monks exclaimed in shock, "Twelve Flower Evil God Gang!" Recognizing it as a legacy of the Red Body Sect and immensely powerful, they hurriedly began casting, each releasing a yellow Flying Sword. Kāyīn Shābù clasped his hands to form a seal and pushed forward, causing a vast amount of yellow sand to rise from the ground and sweep across the world, encircling Shi Feiyang in the center. Varnagyin II pointed a finger, and many Demon Light condensed Red Lotus flowers sprang up from the ground amidst the dust, spinning incessantly.

The two monks chanted Secret Spells in unison, with the yellow sand carrying the Red Lotus, they surged inward, aiming to engulf Shi Feiyang within.

Shi Feiyang protected his body with six pathways of colored smoke, moving like spirit snakes and strange pythons within the yellow sand, shattering the Red Lotus. The remaining six pathways continued to assault the two monks. Their Flying Swords, one blue and one white, fell into two of the smoke pillars and were immediately suppressed and ground down, their light quickly dimming.

The two monks yelled out in distress, waving their kasayas to use the Demon Light Escape technique to flee, only to each be wrapped up by two pillars of colored smoke. In a blink of an eye, their physical bodies shattered, leaving only their Primordial Spirits, which, having been transformed into Lifebound Demons, were tumbling up and down within the colored smoke, still attempting to escape.

Shi Feiyang dispersed the yellow sand and Red Lotus, circled the Twelve Flower Evil God Gang around the two monks, forming a brightly colored smoke sphere around them.

The two monks were terrified and begged for mercy, "We monks were blind, we shouldn't have provoked an Upper Immortal; we beg for your forgiveness, please let us reincarnate!"

Shi Feiyang said, "Is this how you usually behave, killing people at will, gouging eyes, cutting tongues, using Demon Fire for Soul Refinement?"

"No, no!" the monks quickly denied, "We have always taught people to be good, and to understand the true essence of the Buddhist faith. It is just that today, with our increased mana, we attracted a Yin Demon, and it was not our intention to provoke Upper Immortal. In fact, we were misled by the Yin Demon conspiring with our Lifebound Divine Demons!"

Shi Feiyang sneered, "You may fool others, but you cannot fool me!"

He pressed the monks to confess how they usually cultivated and how they deceived their followers. The monks were originally unwilling to speak, but Shi Feiyang then urged the Flower Evil to grind their souls. An ordinary person's Three Souls and Seven Spirits would have been divided long ago, but theirs, having refined their Primordial Spirits into Lifebound Divine Demons, meant their soul bodies were robust. They couldn't be ground down and refined right away, but the agony of having their souls torn was far worse than the thousands of cuts to the physical body. The monks wailed like ghosts and howled like wolves, desperately begging for mercy.

Having lost the duel and revealing such disgraceful behavior, their followers who witnessed their revered sect leaders in such a state were both afraid and disappointed. They scattered in all directions, even the disciples who had worked in the temple gardens and kitchens hurriedly packed up and fled. In a moment, the vast Qingluo Valley was left with only one living person, Shi Feiyang.

The two monks, unable to bear the torture, volunteered their hidden collection. In the basement of their sleeping quarters was an Underground Palace, full of treasures they had amassed over the years.

Shi Feiyang was not particularly interested in gold and silver, but he did find a Red Lotus Secret Manual among the treasures. Upon examination, it contained various Demon Skills and Magic from the Western Demon Cult.

These two Demon Monks were fringe figures in the Western Demon Cult, ostracized by many, unable to compete with those Divine Kings. That's why they descended from the plateau and established a temple in Qingluo Valley.

Neither of them was taught by the same master, they had just fled together and become partners. Each recorded what they had learned over a lifetime, and by learning from each other, they compiled the "Red Lotus Secret Manual." In addition to the teachings of the Western Demon Cult, it also contained an array of ceremonies and rites they had invented themselves; for example, how to hang banners and erect flags for certain events, what offerings to use, whether to use men or women, the old or the young, and how to refine plucked eyeballs into Demon Eyes, to be inlaid onto which Magical Treasure...

His own knowledge was limited, his mana not great, but he had managed these rituals with remarkable precision. Shi Feiyang also found a ledger that listed regular donors, noting each person's detailed information: where they lived, the size of their families, their ages, how much land they owned, and their yearly earnings. It even specified how they could be manipulated: either milked slowly for money for the temple or made to donate all their possessions at once.

Shi Feiyang skimmed through it briefly and found a chapter on Sacrificial Refinement of Divine Demons. After reading it silently, he understood it thoroughly.

He then used the method described in the secret manual to refine the souls of the two monks.

The process normally required capturing the Life Soul and subjecting it to years of Soul Refinement torture to turn it into a Demon. But the two monks had already exerted their life's efforts to refine their Primordial Spirits into Lifebound Demons, which were already excellent Demons, thus skipping the most time-consuming and strenuous step.

Next, Shi Feiyang took one Lotus Evil and one Guihua Sha and confined the two monks' Primordial Spirits into them.

The Twelve Flower Evil God Gang, originating from the Red Body Sect - another branch of the Demon Cults - differed from the Western Demon Cult. The Sect Hierarch, Jiu Panpo, practiced a tradition derived from the Nine Heavens Secret Demon lineage.

Each of these Flower Evil Divine Gang needed a Main God to exhibit their full extraordinary usefulness. However, due to their ferocity and being inherently filled with fragmented, fierce Yin Spirits, ordinary souls could not dominate, let alone endure them. In the process of Sacrificial Refinement, they would be torn apart by fierce ghosts and ground to dust by the Gang Sha Qi. A soul had to reach a certain Dao Level, be refined into a Divine Demon, and then be placed within.

Shi Feiyang thought that the best fate for these two Demon Monks was to become part of the Flower Evil Divine Gang. It seemed to be a perfect fit, most apt and suitable.

He set up a Dharma Platform within the temple, placing the Lotus Evil and Varnagyin II's Primordial Spirit together in a golden bowl, and the Guihua Divine Gang with Kā yīn Shā Bù's Primordial Spirit in another. Normally, the blood of a pregnant woman combined with the mother and child's Primordial Spirits would be required for fusion, but Shi Feiyang unraveled the underlying principle, lit the Heaven and Earth Harmony Fragrance, and let the energies of Gang Sha Qi mingle together as a substitute.

Heaven and Earth Harmony Fragrance could stir up desire in soul bodies, making it appropriate for Demon Souls as well.

Shi Feiyang channeled the two wisps of fragrance into the golden bowls with magic, and as the Lifebound Demons of the two monks were affected by the fragrance, Shi Feiyang waved banners and practiced spells on the outside. This spurred on their Primordial Spirits while causing the Flower Evil Divine Gang to churn. Their soul bodies involuntarily merged with the Flower Evil, blending together as intimately as milk blends with water. In just the time it took to have a meal, they fused into one entity.

Thus, the Lotus Evil became Varnagyin II's body, and the Guihua Sha became Kā yīn Shā Bù's body.

Once the great task was completed, one red and one yellow wisp of colorful smoke burst from the golden bowl, followed by hundreds of Red Lotus Golden Osmanthus flowers falling to the ground. They gathered inward, transforming into two middle-aged monks who knelt before Shi Feiyang, saying, "Our lives are now entirely in the hands of our master. We are willing to climb the mountain of swords and plunge into the sea of flames for our master, to serve as dogs and horses. We only beseech that our master will show compassion and mercy, and when times of peril arise, provide us with a way out."

Shi Feiyang said, "Since we've established this connection, serve in my sect. If you are diligent and cautious, ready to work hard without complaint, and satisfy me, after a hundred years, I will let you go to reincarnate. Otherwise, you will face the calamity of soul dispersal and spirit dissolution!"
