The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 111: 111 Dharma King Qing Luo

Shi Feiyang was set on obtaining the Nanming Leaving Fire Sword, having calculated all the causality involved very clearly, he should be able to acquire it smoothly.

As for the public case between Dharma Master and Guiyi Monk, he had no worries about it. A magical treasure is akin to a tool; why use hands to eat when there's chopsticks? Why walk on foot when there is a car? Once one is capable of "Can Xia" and "fu qi," chopsticks become unnecessary; once one is able to fly and burrow, cars become redundant.

Guiyi Monk treasured golden chopsticks as if they were precious, even when he could abstain from eating grain, he kept the chopsticks, and then every time he saw them, he felt hungry, and his abstention from grain failed, his realm consequently remaining at an impasse, unable to reach perfection. There were no demon barriers, but he created his own barriers, his own demons, and he wasted nineteen years before he finally came to understand this principle.

Shi Feiyang, when reading about this in the past, disapproved of it, especially the part about the master and disciple who feared that future generations would regard the sword as a treasure: one wanted to destroy the sword, the other wanted to abandon it. First, they saw the sword as a rare heirloom, later as a demonic object hindering cultivation—yet as Dharma had said, originally there are no demons; the sword is not a demon. It is the attachment to it that makes it a demon; though called "Sword Demon," it is essentially a demon of the heart.

Shi Feiyang had plans to establish his own sect, the Demon Kingdom. Starting empty-handed would not do; it was perfect that others did not want this sword, and he could put it to good use. Usefulness and uselessness are relative; what is useless to others could prove significantly useful to him in the future.

Which founder of a sect didn't possess a multitude of objects? Master Changmei left behind many top-grade flying swords and magical treasures for the Emei Sect and even set the processes for establishing the sect before ascending, employing the method of using heaven and earth as a furnace to recast Emei Mountain. He left the Imperial Seal Dharma Decree to Qi Shuming. Qi Shuming's abilities could only be regarded as top-level among his peers, but there were still many who surpassed him, and he couldn't even defeat Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor in their second swordfight. However, once he obtained this object, he immediately surpassed Xuan Zhenzi, Yi Xiu, and others, his Daoist power and mana surging ahead, far beyond other immortals of his generation.

In the end, when it comes to external objects, one must still make use of them, especially before attaining Dao. In the final stage, to use without attachment is true purity; to use without reliance is true freedom. If Guiyi Monk could use without attachment and pass it down to the Buddhist disciples in due course—that would have been another matter…

He had deduced the causal lines of obtaining the sword on the way here—all on the sword, and the locations were those of the top figures. Yet, he had not expected to encounter unexpected distractions elsewhere.

The valley he flew over was known as Qingluo Valley because it resembled a giant snail. The special topography made the surrounding area covered with snowy peaks, yet the valley remained as warm as spring.

It was due to this pleasant environment that two monks from Dianxi came here long ago, one named Varnagyin II and the other named Hagenib. In terms of status, they were similar to Poison Dragon Venerable from the Western Demon Cult, but the Western Demon Cult was too vast and numerous in its branches. Poison Dragon Venerable was referred to as a sect hierarch, yet the two were so distant in connection that they never interacted.

The two monks, seeing the attractive scenery, collected donations to build a Demon Palace named Qingluo, developed many fields and businesses, collected disciples to establish their sect, and went out to perform "miracles," achieving a thriving and prosperous following.

Today happened to be a festival in their sect, and the entire palace was busy with major ritual activities.

The two demon monks sat atop the Dharma Platform, publicly preaching the dharma while demonstrating it live—conjuring golden flowers from the sky and golden lotuses from the ground, dazzling the disciples, rich merchants, and invited guests below.

Varnagyin II, in his self-aggrandizement amidst cries of awe from his disciples and followers, was somewhat experienced in the Dao and was proudly expounding the dharma when his Lifebound Demon suddenly alerted him to someone flying overhead. Looking up urgently, he saw only blue sky and white clouds—but upon using his Demon Eye to see clearly, he noticed a young man in green clothes flying calmly overhead.

Shi Feiyang did not know in which mountain the Nanming Leaving Fire Sword was located, so while he advanced, he carefully discerned the lay of the land, comparing it with the Gua Xiang to carefully observe each mountain peak. Thus, he did not fly quickly. As he passed this area and saw the rituals below, with Scripture Pillars reaching the sky and colored paper prayer flags hanging everywhere, golden lotuses emerging and Red Lotus blossoming, he couldn't help but take an extra look or two.

Varnagyin II suddenly shouted loudly, "Who is this ignorant young child who dares to leap over my Dharma Platform?" As he spoke, he pointed downwards, and from the flat ground appeared a red lotus as large as a cartwheel, purely formed by red Demon Light. Its thousand petals rapidly blossomed, spinning and continuously growing larger. From the heart of the flower shot upwards a beam of red light, straight toward Shi Feiyang.

Shi Feiyang wondered to himself if this monk had lost his senses. "I haven't called on you or troubled you, and even though I flew over you, it was among the clouds. Surely you can't claim all the high altitudes up to the Spiritual Space Immortal Realm as your territory, declaring this a no-fly zone?" He did not resist, simply gathering a swath of sunlight around his body using the Three Lights Tribulation Transformation Method, allowing the Demon Light to grasp and pull him, slowly lowering him down.

Eventually, Shi Feiyang landed within the red lotus, curious to see what the monk intended to do.

Seated high upon the Dharma Platform, Varnagyin II was quite pleased with himself for having drawn the man to him and told his followers, "This person is ignorant, having flown over our platform and insulted the divine. He truly deserves to have his eyes gouged out and his tongue cut off, to be cast into the Fiery Hell!" Having said that, he ordered a disciple to take out a Golden Saber to scoop out Shi Feiyang's eyes.

Shi Feiyang was utterly shocked. "Are you serious? Just for flying over you, you want to gouge out my eyes?"

The towering Buddhist disciple holding the Golden Saber approached, "You have entered our Dharma Realm and offended the presence of the Dharma King, a crime deserving death a thousand times over!"

The surrounding followers, all kneeling on the ground, now started to shout noisily, "A crime deserving death! A crime deserving death! Gouge out his eyes! Cut off his tongue! Cast him into Fire Burning Hell!"

In truth, Varnagyin II covetously noticed Shi Feiyang exuding pure Yang Zheng energy and desired to gouge out his eyes and slice off his tongue before nailing him to the Fire Lotus Pillar. He intended to torment and kill him, driving Magic Nails into his skull and chest before he died, performing a ritual, so after his death, his spirit filled with malevolence along with all his Essence Energy would be captured, refined into a Demon, and enslaved to be commanded at will.

Unaware of the treacherous nature of the Demon Path, Shi Feiyang pointed at the saber-wielding disciple and said, "I'll give you one more chance. Say right now that this was all a misunderstanding, that you were just joking with me, and there might still be room for things to turn around. Otherwise..."

Varnagyin II chuckled deeply, "A demon dares to resist stubbornly even when trapped within my Dharma Realm Red Lotus?"

He stretched out his hand and pointed, sending out a golden beam about a foot long, shooting straight for Shi Feiyang's forehead, aimed to pin down his Mud Ball Palace.

Shi Feiyang seized the approaching golden light and crushed it, "You really are courting death!" With a wave of his hands, he released the Twelve Flower Evil God Gang.

This set of Magical Treasures, taken from Zhong Ang, the Sect Hierarch of the Golden Flower Sect of Qingtian, appeared dazzlingly beautiful, but in essence, they were all full of wrongful spirits and fierce ghosts. Shi Feiyang had thoroughly studied this treasure in the cave on Mangcang Mountain, where he deduced that the vengeful spirits within could not be released at present. He had predicted that in the future, a small part of them might find release in the Bright Realm of the Little Antarctic.

Today, having encountered such a group of Demon Monks, who were incredibly brutal—executing them with a Flying Sword would have been too lenient. Even though the Demon Monks had refined their Primordial Spirits into Lifebound Demons and could not compare with the mighty Dharma King Hagenib that he had once met in the East Sea, they could still escape and do harm after their physical deaths.

Thus, he used the Twelve Flower Evil God Gang for the first time, intending to fight demons with demons, and to combat evil with evil!
