The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 60: 060 Has two wings on its back

In the world of Shu Mountain, there wasn't the sort that you find in "Journey to the West" or "Divine Enthronement," where demons could naturally transform into humans once their cultivation reached a certain level.

Beasts in this world needed to work hard bit by bit to achieve a human form, striving to walk upright and evolve their brains and limbs more towards those of a human. Even if their effort reached a considerable level, they would still look like a freak.

To completely become a true human, one either had to cultivate a Primordial Embryo and go through reincarnation, like Hui Zhu, or rely on heavenly treasures to shed their old body and grow a new one, like peeling off one's entire skin to reveal the tender flesh beneath, such as Jin Xunu.

Shi Feiyang didn't want to go through reincarnation; he was hesitant about whether to take the second path—first making his body as close to human as possible, followed by a complete transformation. Either option was extremely troublesome, and without anyone else's help, relying solely on himself made it even more difficult. The slightest mishap could result in complete failure, and he was vulnerable to enemies at critical moments, potentially becoming fish on someone else's chopping board, and eventually vanishing into smoke and ashes.

When he first arrived at Roc Bay, Geng Kun was worried that he would cause trouble, so he watched him for a while. He discovered that this Black Dragon was unlike other creatures; since entering the Carefree Palace, it had never left, staying inside every day. Far from causing trouble outside, it didn't even associate with any of his fellow disciples from his own home.

This was not like any dragon, nor even like any other creature. Compared to these creatures, he was the outlier.

If he hadn't seen the thirty-six golden feathers of his younger brother with his own eyes, he might even suspect that this Black Dragon had come with ill intent to infiltrate them.

So one day, he took the initiative to summon Shi Feiyang and imparted to him the Cultivation Method for transforming into a human form.

There were many ways to achieve a human form, and the method from the "Chi You Three Disks Scripture" that Geng Kun taught starts from the bones and flesh, Essence Energy, various organs, and even nature, enumerating the similarities between humans and beasts. It saw humans as a type of beast, which meant one could cultivate from a beast into a human, and also turn a human into a beast.

This Cultivation Technique was extremely overbearing, applicable to humans, beasts, birds, insects... If one wished to grow three heads, it allowed for that; if eight arms were desired, it would be achievable; wings, antlers, enhancement of existing organs—anything was possible!

The wings of the Geng brothers were not originally so formidable; it was through this Cultivation Technique that they were developed, allowing their wings to gather fierce winds, with the golden feathers even stronger than a Flying Sword.

Having received the Cultivation Technique, Shi Feiyang returned to the Carefree Palace and began to study and practice, first focusing on strengthening his own bones.

The Cultivation Method he obtained—the memory of the Black Dragon brought the instincts of an animal, while all the rest were human Cultivation Methods. The "Chi You Three Disks Scripture" specifically aimed at fortifying the sinews and bones, invigorating the Essence Blood, tempering the skeleton.

Human cultivation called for a calm and peaceful mind, dining on the rosy clouds and absorbing the world's energy, becoming more ethereal with each step in cultivation.

Beast cultivation was indeed simple and crude, demanding enthusiastic consumption of food to supply nutrients, with an emphasis on as much and as rich flesh as possible.

Since beginning his cultivation, Shi Feiyang frequently felt hungry.

However, he didn't go out hunting; instead, he took out an Angry Mysterious Pill.

This Angry Mysterious Pill was something he used in the past to forcibly stimulate his potential; it contained the Essence Blood of the millennium-old Queen Mother Grass, along with a considerable amount of nourishing Elixirs, each a few hundred to a thousand years old Spiritual Medicine with powerful medicinal effects, surpassing tens of thousands tons of fresh flesh. Through his Cultivation Method, he dispersed this energy throughout his body, promoting rapid growth of bones, muscles, blood, and meridians. He often made "crack crack" sounds at the joints when walking, and when shaking his head and tail, the sounds were even more frequent, popping like exploding beans.

After several months of effort, his body had grown more than twice its original size, reaching over twenty zhang in length, and his chest diameter had also become much thicker. Four more prongs had split off from his dragon horns, his teeth were sharp as swords, and his entire body was covered in scales that seemed as though they'd been painted, which reflected light like ripples under the sunlight and moonlight.

"Such an excellent cultivation method!"

He passed this cultivation method to the three young ones in the Jade Box as a type of Spiritual Medicine. They too should come out to collect Sun Essence and Moonlight, and they could also consume fresh blood and flesh or even carrion to supplement their nutrition. However, feeling cautious since his arrival, Shi Feiyang wasn't willing to release them carelessly so soon. Instead, he let them continue their cultivation inside the Jade Box. Even if it was slower, it was safer.

Once he confirmed the effectiveness of the cultivation method, Shi Feiyang began to ponder how he should transform himself. He didn't want to simply lean towards the human form, which he considered too ugly and grotesque. So, he shifted his thoughts towards growing wings on his back.

Following the instructions given in the cultivation method, he began to gather flesh and blood around his shoulders, then compelled it to undergo a transformation, sprouting outwardly.

There were wings with feathers like those of birds, and there were also wings with thin membranes like those of bats. Shi Feiyang was somewhat envious of the Geng Kun brothers' type of wings, so he intended to grow a pair just like theirs. However, golden feathers seemed too commonplace to him; he preferred black wings.

After diligently cultivating for more than half a year, he sprouted two small wings from his back. They weren't really small, measuring about a zhang in size, but they bore no feathers, only faint yellow down that seemed rather comical against his body, which had grown to over thirty zhang long.

One day, as he was focused on his cultivation, Geng Kun suddenly sent a message with his golden feathers. While others used Flying Swords for transmission, he used a feather plucked from his wing, capable of capturing images and sounds, to inform Shi Feiyang that he needed to hurry to Chuitian Palace.

Upon arriving at Chuitian Palace, Geng Kun was naturally seated at the highest position. Below him were three other individuals.

The first was the black-feathered woman who had led him here on the day he arrived. She was of human and demon mixed blood, the offspring of a large crow and a human, named Su Nanyi.

She was the Leader of all disciples of the bird kind at Roc Bay.

The second individual was a Merfolk with a fish-head and humanoid body, with four wings along his ribs and legs fused together like a dolphin, and claws at the ends of his feet.

This fellow was a disciple whom Geng Kun greatly valued, with a rather strange name: Qian Jiquan. He led all the Water Clan creatures of Roc Bay.

The third one was named Yuan Ming. Originally an ape from the mountains, he had been chased by a bear and leapt off a cliff, fortuitously encountering a tree bearing Zhu fruits. Such fruits flowered every thirty years and bore fruit every thirty years, an Immortal Fruit coveted by all cultivators. Consuming an entire tree's worth, he then achieved awareness and cultivated Mana.

Back in his days, he had gathered a variety of fruits and made Monkey Wine in the mountains. This attracted an Emei Mountain Sword Immortal who stole his wine. The Sword Immortal then suggested that Yuan Ming could join him to watch over his cave dwelling. Proud and untamable, Yuan Ming almost ripped the Sword Immortal in half. The Sword Immortal chased after him all the way to the South Sea coast, where he was saved by Geng Kun, who was passing by. Geng Kun then took him back to Roc Bay Island to become his Disciple.

Yuan Ming was the Leader of all beast-like disciples on Roc Bay Island.

Birds, Water Clan, and Beasts – these three chief disciples, along with Shi Feiyang, the external affiliate, were all present.

Geng Kun glanced at the fluffy little wings on Shi Feiyang's back, and while Shi Feiyang felt somewhat embarrassed, Geng Kun was inwardly astonished. He had thought Shi Feiyang would surely begin cultivating towards a human-like appearance after receiving the Cultivation Method, yet after so many days, there wasn't a single human characteristic on him; instead, he was growing a pair of wings.

"This child truly has determination," Geng Kun silently commended. His gaze became stern, and he began to speak, "I've called you here today because I am taking you to do a great deed!"
