Mana Wells

Chapter 102: Lake Longbow

Laura and Sara went to the outpost without Kurt as they agreed. Technically the visit was still going on with the Valarie Clan, Joe and Tom would be attending in his place though. Countess Talia was insistent, so the next day they would go to the town.

Kurt still had nightmares that night though, but there was more this time, not just the man and his throat, a man sliced in half. Within the momentum Kurt never had time to really process it. But it was still there.

Kurt had gotten something nice from his closet, and a pair of trunks for the occasion. They were going towards the water. Carl's tailor might get another trip soon, he never thought he'd have to wear them so much before. Sure every once in a while. But it started to seem too often sometimes.

When he met Talia near the gate she was still denying him the view of her magnificent legs, wearing a long dress and a hat that would block the sun. There was certainly an excessive amount of cleavage from the dress.

Carl had met them as he had arranged a trip on a yacht from a friend of his. Seemed like the perfect date idea to Kurt. Susan had gawked over their cute couple look when they entered the carriage to get to the pier.

"So that was some rescue," said Talia

"Yeah, kind of crazy when you think about it. You okay?"

"I manage like always."

They arrived at the pier and saw the luxurious yacht they would be sailing on. There was a crew of three ready for them. It was large, and had massive white sails, the cabin area had several rooms. It was not like a rowboat at all. It was the finest boat Kurt had ever seen, not that he'd really seen that many.

The captain said, "Don't worry about us, we have some food, just try to stay out of their way when we have changed sails and you two can just enjoy yourselves. Are we trying to fish, swim or a little of both today, or just enjoy the ride?"

"Swim!" said Talia.

"I've actually never fished before," said Kurt.

"Ohh we can do mostly swimming then, we have all the gear, we can show you some spots, we will put a line out the back then as well. That's how you get the big ones."

They made their way on the yacht, and found a good place on the deck to take in the view. The crewmen took off from the pier. Pulling and letting loose various ropes, a sail rose up and caught a wind, and they started to slowly move away, gaining speed little by little. The boat rocked in the lake's water, the air full of its smell. A bird came down and made a perch on one of the guard rails.

"It's beautiful isn't it," Talia said, snuggling up next to Kurt as they watched the shore shrink behind them. A particularly large movement in the waves pulled them closer together, Kurt held her in one arm, steadying on a railing.

They talked about what they'd seen together at Dakota Springs. Talia explained a little more detail about how she became a Countess, being raised noble and there was a fight, the count had died. And that she was in that fight, and found herself somewhat a hero of it. It was against some monster raiding their area beyond the gate, well actually they were apparently exploring a bit too far or something.

After a few hours, the crewmen seemed to be shuffling more, the sails started to drop and they were slowing a bit down. There was a small land mass in the distance of where they were.

The captain said, "we usually get some good looking scenery here, a bunch of fish that mostly look pretty not much in the way of food, so the lady said she wanted to swim. We have a room in the cabin for you, if you want to get changed."

Kurt had gotten changed quickly and was waiting on Talia. When she came out, Kurt was simply not ready for it. She was wearing this tiny, purple, bikini, with a frayed belt that didn't cover anything. His perfect figure just out in the open, he's forgotten about legs and had trouble looking at any part of her and not drooling. Though her legs were as magnificent as ever, the curves on the way up and down. Her long auburn hair in a ponytail playfully touched her subtle skin. Kurt's jaw was dropped.

He finally made his way up to eye green eyes, and she must have been saying something because *Kurt*, and she waved her hand in front of him.

"I'm sorry," said Kurt, "you were saying something."

She smiled and giggled a little, "shall we?" She grabbed Kurt's hand, and led him to the aft section you could get into the water from. Kurt still wasn't able to say many words, from the back she was looking just as good, if not better.

They swam, and flirtatiously played with each other in the water, splashing and pulling each other under. With a playful tone, they taunted each other, and a few kisses came about here and there. Kurt was catching glances at Talia and he caught her doing the same.

After a long while they decided to get back on the boat, and Talia wanted to sunbathe on the deck, and there was no objection from anyone. A crewman showed Kurt the basics of fishing as well. Casting reeling, how make sure it won't snap. Kurt enjoyed his time actually. The simplicity of it. He even got a few snags, and had caught and released a few after a little while. It helped that it gave him a lot of opportunity to gaze at Talia sunbathing in her bikini. They got a few sandwiches and something to drink from the crew as well. It was a beautiful day, they continued to converse and enjoy their time.

Talia gave Kurt a look of desire, smiling and making sure he noticed as well, he had never put his shirt back on either. The way back continued the same.

"That was nice Kurt, I had fun."

"Me too said Kurt,"

They had spent the whole day and the sun was setting over the lake, creating rippling reflections of oranges and yellows. They enjoyed it together.
