The rest didn't arrive until the next morning and Laura would still have to travel to get to Arthur a bit longer. He wasn't looking forward to that conversation at all. But at least he got them out.
Harvey had asked the gnomes to build a bigger bed by himself, but Kurt instructed them to build a little house next to his. He was probably going to get big.
Outside Harvey was scurrying around like a new born puppy. His three heads each seemingly looking at something different. There was a small bug that gotten all of their attention and he darted towards and took a snack out of it.
"So are you Harvey, or like that one Harvey?" Said Kurt.
"Harvey is us," the three heads said, switching heads in between each word flawlessly, "us is Harvey" they said in unison. That actually relieved Kurt a lot, he didn't have to deal with multiple personalities on top of it. He had grown fond of the little guy, now a big boy.
"So you little pet grew up a little," said Layla, "they should be arriving soon I would guess.
"Yeah, he did get big," said Kurt.
"Pretty fairy!"said Harvey.
"Aww, he's kind of cute," said Layla, "can you say pretty princess?"
"Princess, Princess!"
"So what happened?"
Kurt gave a quick explanation of the events and how it seemed like the best idea to bring Harvey back immediately through Paul's gate.
"Then we have another discussion to have with Arthur, he has been behaving himself," said Layla.
"Yes, I would think Laura would want to see him and Jacob immediately," said Kurt.
"What about Steve and Tyler?"
"I didn't see them actually," said Kurt, knowing forgot about them would be a more accurate statement from Kurt.
"Probably wanted to separate them a little then? You don't think so?"
"No, I don't know," said Kurt, "we will have to ask Sara, or maybe they show up with her?"
Harvey asked Kurt if he could go swimming in the river that was really starting to be something now. And he agreed, what else was he going to do with him really. Harvey could climb down the side of the pillar wall, without need of going inside. The next day everyone had returned through the gate, including Steve and Tyler. They had been kept in another building, but once they explained who they were, they had gotten out as well. The extra day getting there was caused by some of the confusion.
"So do we have a report on the conclusion of the siege? Or are we still fighting?" said Layla.
"The city and gate have been taken, the fire clan is no more," said Fredrick.
"And their members? Are they to be punished?"
"They are currently prisoners of war."
"Then we are victorious."
"We are. The city will be split between the two kingdoms."
"And the fae? I would like to give the rest an option."
"We are in no rush anymore, there are a lot of parties, we will have to deal with the kingdoms now, but we have made ours, and your desires known. As well as made sure they knew who made it all possible. They seemed willing to let the face move, Midas especially."
"It makes sense they still don't want it all inside Hamlet."
"They will become interested in you."
"We are planning to arrive in the coming months. I would have to talk to Carl about the details now. Things have changed a bit in the schedule. You understand." said Layla, "So are there any major problems?"
"Well," said Fredrick, "it appears a large lizard monster with three heads was seen as well as a green skinned man. And so Joe's identity was revealed to the generals."
"We are terrible at keeping this secret," said Layla, "aren't we?," she gave Kurt a mean look.
"He snuck in!"
"I'm sure," said Layla.
Lady Talia and Duchess Sara had pulled Kurt away after a few more of the formalities from Lord Fredrick. Leaving Laura in the company of Steve and Tyler.
"What the fuck was that?" said Sara.
"Umm, I don't know Harvey grew another head it's not like I…"
"No idiot, you punched a wall down."
"Well," said Kurt, "I thought I could do it and I did. I was feeling this rush."
"Kurt," said Talia, "that was more than a rush, your aura, it was active somehow, I've never seen anything like your aura, and I've never seen it move like that. It was like you were throwing it through the wall."
"Umm, isn't that how you normally see magic work?"
"No."
"Why was it red? Your water was always like water water," said Sara.
"I don't know, I thought, I wasn't really thinking really."
"Your normal condition, not thinking."
"We came to save you. That's what I was thinking."
Sara let out a gasp and threw up her arms, "well you almost got everyone killed. We were probably lucky Steve and Tyler were held up in another building."
"So you really have never done that before?" Said Talia.
"It was sort of like with the Horror Rabbit."
"The Horror Rabbit?" said Talia.
Sara and Kurt did their best to quickly explain what the massive half rabbit half, deranged faced monster. Kurt had named it Horror Rabbit and the translation spell would also call it that now.
"He really is hopeless," said Talia.
"And how."
When did they start teaming up on him? He thought he could at least count on Sara and Talia to not do that before. He should have never left them alone together.
"Well I'm going to take Laura to Arthur," said Sara, "I think it would be better if it was just us at first."
"So you blamed it all on me."
"I blamed it all on you."
"Thanks."
"No problem, my lord," said Sara, smiling.
"She'll have to stay there until me and Layla."
"I know."
"And you owe me a date in Lake Longbow," said a Talia, "I mean you left half way through that, with a bunch of goblins, not very romantic of you."
