Leveling Up with 99,999 Points: I Tame Every Magical Beast

Chapter 91: Chapter – 91 Dinner Together

"This is the fake relic," said Rick as he placed the relic he created.

It looked very similar to the real relic. Crowne could barely tell the difference unless he looked more closely. He could recognize it because he had seen the real relic before. Meanwhile, the people in the Adventurers Guild center had never seen the real one.

This should be a very good trick. Crowne was satisfied with Rick's work, even though Rick's eye bags looked like they needed another pair of eye bags.

"How much do I need to pay?" asked Crowne.

Rick shook his head. "Just pay ten gold coins. I need to buy several cups of beer to cure my exhaustion," he replied.

Crowne narrowed his eyes. He was slightly surprised by Rick's answer because he thought Rick would refuse to be paid. Crowne took out ten gold coins and placed them on the table.

"My advice. Do not drink too much beer. It is not good for your body."

Rick waved his hand. "No. Beer is medicine for us Dwarves. It is like bread for you humans," he said.

Crowne could only shake his head in disbelief at that answer. After that, he turned around and left while waving his right hand.

"See you!"

Carrying the relic Rick made, Crowne departed by carriage along with Daisy and Lina. Their journey began. It would take six days for them to reach the capital, but if there were no obstacles, they might arrive sooner.

**

A few days passed. They arrived in the capital smoothly. They only needed five days to reach the capital. When Lina stood in front of the capital's entrance gate, she could not stop being amazed because the protective walls were incredibly tall and majestic.

Not only that, the gate was also heavily guarded. There were many guards there. From above, dozens of soldiers looked down. Below, perhaps twenty soldiers were stationed to inspect the identities of those entering.

"Your identity cards?" asked one of the guards.

Crowne, Lina, and Daisy immediately handed over their adventurer cards. The guard narrowed his eyes while staring at the three of them. After deciding that they were not suspicious people, Crowne, Lina, and Daisy were allowed to enter.

They walked in. At that moment, Lina's mouth opened wide. The houses there were almost all luxurious. It was incredible. Not only that, the capital was far more crowded and far larger than Doomsty City or Stromhall City.

"This is crazy," said Lina in awe.

Daisy smiled at Lina. She walked ahead and stepped backward while signaling with her head. "Come on! I will show you the inn I usually rent. You will like it," she said.

Lina quickly ran and nodded. "I will come!" she said enthusiastically.

Crowne followed the two of them as well. However, his eyes kept moving, observing his surroundings. He felt something strange about the capital. He sensed magical energy pressing against his body. But he could not see the form of that magic.

"It seems that is the barrier magic, my lord," said Sylvara.

"Across the entire city?"

"Yes," Sylvara replied, "it seems so. This magic protects the capital from attacks coming from outside."

Crowne was shocked to hear that the protective magic covered such a large area. The capital was huge, inhabited by thousands of people. Maybe tens of thousands. And that magic protected all of them? Crowne could only shake his head while imagining who could cast something like that.

"I can also do that," said Sylvara.

"The whole city?"

"Yes, the whole city. But I will run out of a lot of Mana to do it. Maybe I will be exhausted afterward, but I cannot maintain it all the time," explained Sylvara.

"What do you mean?"

"Barrier magic consumes a lot of Mana every time it is cast and usually only lasts one hour at most. If longer than that, the magic fades and must be recast."

"That means someone stronger than you is doing this?"

"I do not know, but there is a possibility they are using a type of energy I do not recognize. It is impossible for anyone to maintain something like this," Sylvara answered.

Crowne nodded. He trusted what Sylvara said. He walked after Lina and Daisy while opening the shop menu in his system screen.

He had many points he could use. There were several interesting skills, but Crowne held back his intention.

"I should try raising my beast's level first. If it turns out to be easier and possible, I will use my points to buy skills," he muttered.

He had to use everything he had. He knew he needed to become stronger. His destination was Moonlight City. That place was full of monsters and demon attacks. A harsh city. If he was weak, the chance of him dying was very high.

Crowne did not want to die foolishly because of his own decisions.

"It seems I will go to the forest after delivering the relic to the Adventurers Guild center," he said.

Just when he closed his system screen, Lina and Daisy suddenly grabbed his arms. Both looked at each other and smiled.

"Come with us!" said Daisy.

Crowne wanted to say something, but Lina immediately cut him off.

"Do not argue! Just follow us!" said Lina.

Crowne was dragged along and ran with Lina and Daisy. He exhaled and eventually followed them.

**

Apparently, Crowne was taken to shop, eat, and do other things together again. The three of them became even closer to each other.

But this time, they went back to the inn near evening. They entered their rooms, but they would go out again at night for a date. A date for the three of them.

"Why is he taking so long?" complained Lina.

Daisy looked upward. She was confused because they agreed to meet downstairs after thirty minutes, but it had been more than forty minutes and Crowne still had not shown up.

"He might be embarrassed," said Daisy.

"Embarrassed? Embarrassed about what?"

Daisy lifted her shoulders, but moments later, footsteps were heard from above.

Daisy and Lina immediately turned their heads and saw a man dressed like a noble standing near the stairs. It was Crowne.

For a moment, both could only freeze. Crowne usually looked simple with normal, half worn out clothes, slightly messy hair, and a blank expression.

But this time, he wore a high collared black shirt with a dark gray coat that flowed elegantly with his steps. A silver belt wrapped around his waist, emphasizing his straight posture.

His hair was tied neatly back, revealing a sharp jawline that had been hidden all this time. His eyes looked sharper than usual, like a young noble with striking handsomeness.

In truth, Crowne was indeed a noble, but Lina and Daisy did not know that.

Unconsciously, Lina swallowed. Daisy even forgot how to breathe for a moment. They were completely mesmerized by Crowne's appearance. He looked like a different person. More firm and dignified.

"...crazy," Lina whispered softly.

"This is... our Crowne?" Daisy whispered back.

But their shock was not over. Right behind Crowne, a very beautiful woman walked down, lightly tapping Crowne's shoulder and pushing him forward.

"Do not bend your back! Straighten your posture, master! You are making these clothes useless if you do not show your dignity."

"Alright, alright. Let go of me! I could fall if you keep doing that," Crowne complained.

Lina and Daisy stared at the girl behind Crowne with half sharp gazes. They even narrowed their eyes.

The girl wore a simple dark blue gown, yet somehow it looked luxurious. Her face was gentle but cold, with a pair of deep blue eyes that made anyone stare.

Her blue hair flowed down to her waist, reflecting a beautiful shine.

Even Lina and Daisy were stunned, but they quickly shook their heads and looked at each other.

"Who... who is she?" mumbled Lina.

Daisy slowly shook her head. She had no idea who was with Crowne now. Both of them had never met Sylvara. Seeing Crowne with another woman naturally made them jealous.

"She is not his girlfriend, right?" Lina whispered again.

Daisy shook her head. "I do not know."

A moment later, Crowne stepped down the last stairs and stopped in front of them. He showed the warmest smile he could make.

Daisy and Lina froze again seeing that smile, but they immediately shifted to sharp looks at Crowne.

"You finally came down..." Daisy said with a slightly forced smile.

"You... look different," added Lina, her cheeks slightly red.

Crowne nodded casually, unaware of how striking his appearance was. He then pointed at the beautiful woman beside him.

"Oh, yes. She is my friend. She said she wants to join us for dinner."

Silence. Complete silence.

Lina forced a stiff smile. "F friend?"

Daisy followed, her voice a bit hoarse, "Join dinner... with us?"

The woman only smiled gently at them... without the slightest guilt. Lina and Daisy had planned everything carefully so they could spend time with Crowne tonight, but it seemed that plan had failed.

Crowne did not notice anything. He only looked at Daisy and Lina as usual. "We are still going, right? It is already night. I am hungry."

Lina and Daisy exchanged looks. They wanted to get upset, but Sylvara smiled kindly at them. That made the two calm themselves.

"Why did you not tell us earlier?!" asked Lina, her voice slightly unstable.

There was a feeling of displeasure they tried very hard to hide, but they could not show it directly in front of Sylvara.

Daisy immediately patted Lina's shoulder. "Yes, we are going. Come on!" she said.

She pinched Lina's thigh. Lina almost screamed, but she held it in and forced a smile.

"Ah, yes. We will go," said Lina awkwardly.

Crowne nodded and started walking outside. The woman walked beside him like an elegant shadow. Daisy and Lina walked behind them, both quiet with expressions that were difficult to describe.

"He is really not aware," complained Lina.

Daisy nodded. "Men are annoying."
