Everlearn wasn't surprised to see the Judge AI on his watch mark the mission as complete.
Now that the thugs knew their actions were being fueled by companies that were simply making money off them, they knew the longer they kept fighting with the company, the more the company that had treated them like fools kept making money.
So, no doubt, they would be dropping the fight in an instant.
But that was if they all survived the Boss.
All of the thugs were ordinary humans.
None of them were Corers, though some had bionic fluid in them to strengthen their bodies.
Still, against a W-grade Corer who was using a missile sniper…
Everlearn doubted they would stand a chance of surviving him.
But the chance of the Boss surviving was also close to zero.
Being bombarded by 30 armed thugs stradned dead point on a building more than 200 meters high without any source of shelter, with shots coming from every direction…
Unless he had fused with a Body Defense Mecha Module, which Everlearn was sure he hadn't.
The Boss had undergone a fusion with a mech module that strengthened his vision because, of course, he was a sniper.
That left his body defenseless and vulnerable to those guns.
Most likely, both groups would destroy each other, and in the end, the organization would resume its construction.
Whatever the final results were, Everlearn's mission was complete.

║So, the mission is done. That was fast.║
The system panel flashed, and Everlearn nodded as he sat quietly on the sofa.
'Yes. It was.'
He had been given 7 days, and he had thought it would take him two, but it had only taken a single night.
Good thing he'd quickly bought that Nano Speaker from the shop; without it, he would've been stuck trying to explain to the thugs that their Boss was using them.
That alone would've been a whole new headache.
Still, things ended perfectly, though now Everlearn had a bitter taste in his mouth.
Of course, he did not want to believe the words of that man, but it made too much sense to ignore, and that left him asking:
"Was X Base really interested in curbing the violence?"
"Did they know a company was using the violence to make money and wanted to stop it?"
"Or did they curb the violence because they also wanted to make some money?"
║What does it matter?║
The system responded to him instantly.
'Huh?'
║ Whether the company wants to make money or not, what does it matter? ║
People in Lorianor City can finally come out at night. Can finally stop living in fear, and the buildings will soon be constructed, with the tech companies finally getting built. ║
║The mission to stop the thugs helped Lorianor, and you completing it does the same. ║
║So what does it matter how much money is made or anything? Does that change the end result in any way?║
"Hmmm,"
║ Besides, you didn't choose the mission because you wanted to be a hero, remember?║
║ You chose it because you wanted an excuse to be here and follow your own goals. ║
║So why are you so worried about whether the company's intent is righteous or evil?║
It asked him, and after a moment of consideration, Everlearn dismissed it with a small shrug.
"You're right," he responded.
He was here for Mecha Eva.
Lorianor was just an excuse.
And the second he got that back, he grabbed his bag and brought out the laptop.
The Mechara Organization was in Cornando, but it wasn't in the Lorianor area.
It was in another faraway place called Lumint.
He had no information on where Mecha Eva actually was or where she'd last been seen.
Just that a higher-up from the organization was the one who had sent her to kill them in Elloscous.
So if he wanted to track her down, he would have to infiltrate the company, meet with a higher-up, and request her.
Or infiltrate their internal database and retrieve Mecha Eva's full profile, personal data, recruitment year, and current coordinates.
The latter plan was better, so Everlearn made up his mind.
The current time was 2:56 AM.
It was early in the morning.
The taxi ride from Lorianor to Lumint would take seven hours.
A plane could do it in just two hours, but it was far too costly, roughly a hundred times the taxi fare.
So he decided he would wait for the morning, take a taxi like normal to Lumint, then lurk around.
Then, once night fell, he could infiltrate the company and get what he needed.
With that concluded, Everlearn went to bed to get some rest.
Tomorrow, his revenge would begin.

CRAAACK
CRAAACK
The sound of cracks echoing out resounded, coming from beneath a hill of rubble.
It was the result of a towering concrete skyscraper structure dragged down to the ground.
Cracks appeared on the rubble, slowly but surely, and soon enough, it was ripped apart completely, and a hand burst out, coated in blood and soot.
It belonged to a sorry-looking figure who dragged himself out, rolling like a sack of potatoes before he landed at the bottom of the hill.
If Everlearn had been here, he would have recognized the man to be none other than the thugs' Boss.
The man had still managed to survive the shootout, though his face had no flesh, skull visible, while holes filled his entire body.
He was fully naked, blood bleeding out of every orifice, but he was alive.
His eyes viciously looked around, and a wicked, disdain-smeared smile opened on the Boss's lips.
All around him were the bodies of the thugs, none of them having a complete body.
They either had a hole directly blown through them or only a muddle of flesh in the blood.
The Boss dragged himself up from the ground, each movement torturous as he sat up, helped by the rubble behind him.
"I Survived."
"In the end, only I survived…"
"Hahahaha…"
He laughed out loud, a wicked, evil laughter.
He had succeeded.
Even when that bastard of a boy had exposed him, and he had been almost destroyed by those bloody thugs, he had still managed to survive.
His laughter was that of victory, his mouth widening harder as he laughed insanely
"HAHA…"
But then,
