Sound was lost, and all that filled Eva's ears next was a bizarre ringing she could not explain.

For an instant, she appeared frozen in reality: one second standing in a battle stance, her blade ready to kill, and the next, roughly spinning through the air.

She crashed into a transformer on a utility pole, which unleashed bolts of electricity so powerful that her robes were instantly blown to dust.

"Wh… what?"

Monroe lost her voice, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

Mysteriously, her most powerful and loyal guard had vanished.

The hulking golden creature now stood where she should have been, and the skyscraper's glass shattered completely, the high-altitude wind striking her and sending her purple hair and clothes flaring wildly.

"What… what are you. What...what do you want from me?"

She asked as the hulking creature slowly turned a side gaze toward her, whispering:

"You're unimportant."

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The entire building tilted to the side, sending a shockwave so powerful that she was instantly blown roughly through the air.

But before she could slam into the wall and be blown to paste:

A sudden bubble formed around her as a defense-tech gadget activated, inflating like a balloon that instantly exploded, absorbing the brunt of the force.

She slammed into the wall but didn't explode, landing on the ground chest-first, and out in an instant.

"GRRRRRRRR!"

A groan of pain left Mecha Eva's lips as she tore herself off the electricity grid, falling helplessly but still managing to land on her knees.

With her robes torn away, her entire form came into view, a horrifying, monstrous figure, birthed from the insane merger of machine and human.

Half her body was Nanotech.

Pipes all over, sinking like a coil from shoulder to shoulder.

Her hands were full machines, covered in glowing lines of nano-circuitry.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The ground shook about twenty meters from her, dust swirling into the air, and she got into a battle stance right away.

BAAAANG!

BAAAANG!

BAAAANG!

Every single step Everlearn took opened craters on the floor, as he walked out the dust.

The sight of him sent her brows quivering in confusion.

Eva could not understand it.

What was this monstrousness?

Nanotechnology fused with a beastly form?

It was completely beyond her understanding.

But still, those thoughts dissipated from her mind.

She could sense the horrific bloodlust oozing out of this creature.

He longed for her death more than anything she had ever faced.

"Activate Kill Mode."

She ordered immediately as a bizarre whirring filled her.

Her eyes snapped skyward, low groans echoing as circuitry lines pulsed through her body, and in the next instant, she rose fully from her battle stance.

Her hand silently reached to the side, the scythe spinning crazily.

Like a ghost phantom, she faded away from where she stood, and Everlearn's claws suddenly appeared over his chest.

CLAAAAANG!

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

The sound of iron clashing against iron resounded as his hands held the edge of the scythe, which had pierced towards his heart.

WHIIIRRR!

A sudden whirring came from her, and her other hand moved, forming a blade that arced toward his neck.

He slammed out his second claw, knocking the blade away.

The force sent Eva flying backward, yet she didn't pause for a second before turning into a blur again.

BAAAAAAANG!

BAAAAAAANG!

BAAAAAAANG!

The sound of iron clashing resounded over and over, and to an ordinary human, they wouldn't even see anything at all.

Just sudden craters opening up on the ground or a blade mark that cut out a depth that their eyes could not see.

"As expected. You have gotten stronger!"

Everlearn roared out through the strikes, an unending phantom of claws slashing brutally around him, yet an equal amount of scythe slashes landed into every one of those claws, blowing them apart.

Flashing from where she stood, she appeared right behind him, her blade piercing forward toward the back of his neck.

BOOOOOOOOOM!

A crater opened up as the blade pierced through his neck, yet it met with nothing, skewering through an afterimage.

Everlearn appeared directly above her, both claws folded together to form a massive fist.

KAAABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A devastating shockwave rippled downward as he slammed his fist against her outstretched back.

CRAAAACCCCKKKKKK!

The clear sound of spine shattering to pieces rang out, followed by,

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

A crater opening up on the ground, with Mecha Eva's body disappearing into the abyss, yet

SLASSSSSSSSSSH!

A blade-light equally flashed through the world as a diagonal mark carved through Everlearn's chest, blood erupting into the air.

He landed on both feet, but never once did his eyes turn to the wound, though blood flowed out endlessly, severed veins hanging loosely.

Instead, he looked into the crater and in the next moment he jumped down into it.

He descended quietly, but the quiet was quickly broken.

WHIIIISTLE!

The sound of the air whistling rang out, followed by

SLASSSSH!

SLASSSSH!

SLASSSSH!

An endless flurry of scythe images and blade slashes rained down on Everlearn, who folded into himself, a wide grin spreading across his face.

Blood spurted out continuously from every open cut, but all of a sudden,

BOOOOOOOM!

He punched to the side, propelling himself away from the center before slamming into it.

His body leaned forward, and right after,

BOOOOOOOOM!

A crater appeared on the wall as Everlearn flashed away from where he stood, soaring down the abyss.

A crimson eye widened beneath him as it equally soared, and in the next moment, Everlearn's claw shot forward.

She dodged to the side, avoiding the neck grab, but that only occurred in her head.

GRAAAAAAB!

His claws curled around her neck, veins surging over his arms as he squeezed tightly, sinking deeper into the ground.

When he reached a meter away from the ground, his hands holding her jerked backward as she was heaved up and then,

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Mecha Eva's robotic figure was roughly smashed into the ground, loud gasps of pain leaving her lips as her scythe was roughly blown away from her hands.

"ARRRRRRRGH!"
