Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 116: Secret Realm (15)

Grey, having the jade slip required for the second stage of the trial, immediately began walking toward the stone chamber.

Just then, a careful voice came from the side. It belonged to Alex Graveson.

"You are Grey, right? Grey Lockhart?" he inquired cautiously.

Alex was an observant type. He had heard Anderson calling out to him while they were outside the secret realm; hence, he clearly remembered Grey's name.

"Yes?" Grey tilted his head, as if asking, "What do you want?"

Alex slowly pointed toward the stone chamber. "Anderson, he's in there. He entered before everyone else."

"Is that so?"

Alex nodded.

It was a way for Alex to get on Grey's good side. From the display of strength just now, he realized how powerful Grey truly was. What was even more unbelievable was that this guy looked even younger than him!

He looked only seventeen years old at best, yet he was already far more powerful than everyone.

Alex was someone with a broad view of the world. While the Interwire Corporation dominated Ashspire City, the Azrael Corporation was definitely not something to mess with either. People with narrow minds might think Interwire was superior, but Valeria, who came from the Floating City, held far more importance.

Alex had a goal, to unite Ashspire City, give birth to a late-stage Second Ranker, and turn it into a second-rate city. He wanted to bring the Graveson family prosperity.

In his endeavors, he believed that becoming friends with Grey was a better option than making an enemy out of him.

Hence, he tipped off information about Anderson to Grey. It was clear to everyone in the trial zone who would emerge victorious if Anderson and Grey fought.

This guy was a walking disaster, Anderson wouldn't even be able to take one move from him!

The onlooking Evolvers clearly saw this interaction, but none said anything. Honestly, they would have done the same as well.

Grey clearly noticed Alex's intentions, but he didn't say anything. He merely smiled.

He was rather grateful that there was at least someone here with a bit of a brain. He thought most of them were idiots.

Grey gave him a nod of approval and began walking toward the stone platform.

As soon as he started walking, the trial zone abruptly shook and a golden light shone out from the stone platform. Following that, the silhouettes of three figures emerged from the light and landed beside it.

The three silhouettes were familiar to everyone present, it was Anderson and his gang.

Anderson had an excited look on his face as he stared at a broken piece of a disk in his hands.

"I got it!" he exclaimed with a grin. "I got the part of the inheritance key!"

He said it loud enough for everyone to hear. Naturally, Grey heard it too.

Anderson then looked around him, and the first thing he noticed was a crater nearby, with someone inside it and several unconscious people lying around.

"Huh?" Anderson's expression changed.

Just then, a shout came from the crowd of Evolvers.

"Young Master Anderson! Grey Lockhart is here!"

The onlooking Evolvers were stunned upon hearing this. They turned toward the source of the voice and realized it was an Evolver from the Interwire Company.

However, the very next moment, the man's eyes bulged, and he spat out a huge mouthful of blood before collapsing to the ground—lifeless.

"Huh?" Gasps of surprise rang out from the crowd.

They turned toward Grey, who stood in front of them with his back facing them. His arm was stretched slightly backward.

"This…" Everyone seeing this was stunned.

"Is he an Esper?"

Wasn't this guy a martial artist?

He had clearly used his fists to break the stone pillar—so how did he use telekinesis now?

They were dumbfounded.

"Grey Lockhart!" Anderson's expression changed drastically.

He recognized the unconscious people—they were Kane and the Evolvers from the Wynsters family. From the looks of it, Grey was the one who beat them up.

Kane was strong, probably as strong as him!

Then, how did Grey beat him up so easily?

"You, Grey Lockhart!" Anderson shouted coldly. "Who do you think you are? Do you think just because you beat them up, you can do the same to me? You're dreaming!"

He sneered and turned to his subordinates, who nodded at him.

They would have no choice but to go all out!

His subordinates were also very strong; he didn't fear them losing to Grey.

More importantly, he had received a set of strengthening pills from the High Order. He believed they could help him here!

Anderson and his subordinates took out three pills from their spatial rings and prepared to pop them into their mouths.

However, just as they were about to, they realized they couldn't move their hands at all, and the pills that were just about to enter their mouths flew away from them and appeared beside Grey.

"Look what we have here." Grey grinned when he saw the pills.

He recognized them at one glance.

The Abyssal Transformation Pill!

"Are the High Order making these pills in batches? Interesting." Grey examined the pills closely.

[Abyssal Transformation Pill – ???]

Indeed, he couldn't find any information related to the Abyssal Transformation Pill here. That was because there was practically no data on this part of the information layer. This thing had only just registered here thanks to Grey's knowledge of it. But if he were back on Blue Star, he would definitely be able to find out its information.

"I can't move!" Anderson exclaimed with a stunned look on his face. "Let go of me!" he shouted.

But just then, he sensed something. He turned to look at his subordinates, only to see them floating with no emotion or light in their eyes.

They looked half-dead.

Anderson's heart skipped a beat when he saw this.

A trace of anxiety assaulted him.

Then, he saw Grey walking up to him with a kind smile on his face.

"Do you believe in Heaven and Hell?" Grey asked with a smile.

"You bastard! Let me go!" Anderson shouted in fear and anger. "The Interwire Company won't let you go if you do anything to me!"

Smack!

The crisp sound of a slap rang out across the trial ground.

"Not what I asked," Grey said with an innocent smile. "Now, answer my question."

"You! You will pay for this! T-The High Or—"

Smack!

"You dare hit me agai—!"

Smack!

Grey continued slapping the poor guy with a bored look on his face. By the end, Anderson's face looked completely like that of a pig.

He had snot dripping from his nose and a dumbfounded expression on his swollen face.

"So, do you believe in Heaven or Hell?" Grey asked again, wearing a benevolent expression.

It was almost as if he wasn't the one who had just slapped the man into this state.

"I do! I do!" Anderson shouted frantically.

"Good." Grey nodded, satisfied.

Then, he pointed at the guy with his finger, mimicking a gun.

"Because that's where you'll be going today." Grey grinned. "Bang!"

Heavenly tribulation energy surged and shot through Anderson's head, instantly eliminating him.
