Traveler of the River of Time and Space

Chapter 45: Rescue 1

Su Ziyu was indeed stunned when he received the news.

He had long suspected Van Helsing would stir up trouble, but he hadn't imagined he would make such a big splash!

Lady Inid clearly had arrangements in the Southern Countries, as the message arrived the next afternoon. The Female Warlocks possess some special communication methods, allowing them to transmit information across thousands of miles directly.

The intelligence they sent back wasn't very detailed.

Su Ziyu only knew that Van Helsing led over ten Demon Hunters to launch a sneak attack on the Flame Rose Knight Order's base, assassinating numerous high-ranking members of the Church and killing the vice-captain of the Flame Rose Knight Order. It's said that an Archbishop was gravely injured by them, but the specific details remain unclear.

The only certainty is that they burned down the Flame Rose Knight Order's base and blew up their 'Sacred Fire' using alchemy tools.

The Sacred Fire is a landmark of the Eternal Flame Church.

They ignite a perpetual flame within the Church's influence, said to possess magical powers to repel evil and darkness. The Church's followers pray to this flame during every gathering.

Inside the hall.

Su Ziyu, Lady Inid, Lady Elena, Lady Judith, and others were all gathered in the hall.

Next to Su Ziyu was Melissa, looking worried and hesitant to speak, seemingly very concerned about Van Helsing's safety but aware that it's not her place to speak as a newly ascended Demon Hunter.

A brief silence.

Su Ziyu looked at the others and slowly said, "What do you all think?"

Judging from the intelligence, Van Helsing and his group are in a highly dangerous situation. The Eternal Flame is currently the largest religious force in the Southern Countries, and this attack has enraged the entire Church. Many Witch Hunters and Church faithful are searching for their whereabouts.

They even left behind a few Demon Hunters' corpses when they retreated, which are now nailed to the Church's square.

Both secular and Church forces are hunting them.

The Female Warlocks present looked hesitant, some more concerned about being dragged into this conflict and facing retaliation from the Eternal Flame Church.

"What does Lord Su intend to do?" Lady Inid stood up and slowly asked.

This lady seemed to have anticipated the situation but kicked the ball back to Su Ziyu, wanting him to make a decision.

Su Ziyu said without hesitation, "We must find a way to save them."

Although Demon Hunters possess great strength and non-human physical qualities, they can only face ten times the number of enemies. Even if a Demon Hunter is unafraid of a one-on-one encounter, a single Demon Hunter facing a squad of elite soldiers may die. In the great purge years ago, many Demon Hunters were killed this way. Even a three to four thousand-strong army could easily capture a Demon Hunter School's headquarters.

Because the success rate of the Demon Hunters' Trial Potion is low, even at its peak, each school only had about a hundred members.

Putting aside his personal relationship with Van Helsing.

Su Ziyu wants to restore the Demon Hunters' legacy, so he must save these people.

Because the surviving Demon Hunters in this world might only add up to a few dozen, counting those disguised as ordinary people living in seclusion.

After he finished speaking.

Silence fell in the hall again, with many looking hesitant, seemingly unwilling to take this risk.

Su Ziyu felt a bit amused.

No wonder Van Helsing described these Female Warlocks as roses with thorns, some as poisonous blossoms. This moment clearly showed they cared most about themselves.

"I support Lord Su's decision," Lady Judith stepped forward, addressing the others, "Van Helsing helped us. We also need his power."

As Judith stepped out, Nicole and Mira followed suit.

Su Ziyu looked at Lady Judith and nodded slightly, then turned his gaze to Lady Inid.

Melissa looked gratefully at the wealthy trio sisters, seemingly not expecting them to support Su Ziyu's decision at this moment.

Su Ziyu awaited Lady Inid's decision, as her choice was most crucial.

Lady Inid's expression remained calm while observing the others. After a moment of contemplation, she said, "I also agree."

As she spoke, it essentially settled the matter.

Though some in the Female Sorcerer Mutual Aid Association were unwilling, they had no choice but to agree to the rescue.

"I can open a teleportation portal right here to Kolon," Lady Inid softly said, "but we don't know Van Helsing's location. The Flame Rose Knight Order is frantically pursuing them."

Su Ziyu thought for a moment and said, "That's enough."

For this action, he plans not to hide his strength any longer; it's time to bring out the anti-material sniper rifle. With recently enhanced Spiritual Energy, unless facing an army, he alone can take down hundreds of enemies.

"I have a batch of alchemy potions," Lady Elena whispered, "Take them; they should be useful."

This lady usually had little influence in the Female Sorcerer Mutual Aid Association, often playing the role of an observer.

Thus, the matter was settled.

Lady Inid began preparing the teleportation array while Su Ziyu discussed the candidates for this operation with others.

Meanwhile.

In a remote mountain forest in Kolon, Van Helsing staggered as he led seven or eight people in the dark, led by a middle-aged brawny man wearing a Wolf Head Badge, followed by a tired-looking Lev, who carried a grim-faced, skinny man on his back.

"Old Viper? Can you hold on?" said Van Helsing, assisted by a hooked-nose man, with bloodstains soaking his chest.

The grim-faced man carried by Lev lifted his head, revealing a stiff smile and gasped, "Old Raven! As long as you're not dead, there's no way I'll die!"

These Demon Hunters mostly wore various badges.

Lev's chest bore a Bear Head Badge, the leading brawny man had a Wolf Head Badge, the grim-faced man wore a Poisonous Snake Badge, and the hooked-nose man supporting Van Helsing had a Griffin Badge.

The three covering the rear bore badges of Flying Lion, Pterodactyl, and Raven.

"Have the others departed?" Van Helsing gasped.

The leading Wolf Head Badge brawny man said solemnly, "They should have left by boat yesterday. Rest assured, the Church won't catch up with them."

"That's good," Van Helsing gasped, struggling.

Voices sounded from afar.

The leading Wolf Head Badge brawny man climbed a tree to glance around, speaking solemnly, "Those Bloodhounds are catching up."

"Find a spot. Give them a taste," Old Viper pulled out a bottle of icy blue alchemy potion from his pocket and tossed it over, saying, "Be careful. It's the last one."
