Wizard: I Have a Game Panel

Chapter 47: Communication from Milton

"Alright." Cody nodded, saying to the combat ranking board in his hand, "Playback the space traversal scene from 18 years ago at sequence number 1."

"Buzz--"

The combat ranking board hummed, projecting a mirror screen.

"Screech--"

In the mirror screen, Lor was inside Cooper Wizard Tower, and a space crack suddenly tore open before him, swallowing him into it.

The next moment, the mirror screen shifted accordingly.

Seventeen thousand miles away in the heights of the sky, a space crack appeared abruptly, and Lor squeezed out from it.

"Wow, this is truly marvelous." Jerald remarked at the scene in awe, then asked, "What's the farthest distance he can cover in one space leap?"

From the mirror screen, one could only confirm that Lor traversed through the space crack instantaneously, arriving above a barren land from the Wizard Tower, but the exact distance was hard to gauge.

"Approximately seventeen thousand miles." Cody replied, "This is also his limit for releasing witchcraft and sensing."

"Such an excellent range of perception?"

Jerald raised an eyebrow, his interest growing even more, "When I have some free time later, I must visit him and ask when he plans to establish a Space Faction."

Once Lor establishes a faction, he will have to submit the faction's details to the Wizard Alliance's Witchcraft Library for record.

As Speaker, Jerald would naturally have access to it by then.

He was genuinely curious about Lor's witchcraft model.

"It'll have to wait until after the Abyssal War ends; rushing won't help." Cody cast a sidelong glance at Jerald, lazily saying, "Without a Wizard Tower or territory, how can he form a faction?"

Without the conclusion of the Abyssal War, those responsible for building the Wizard Tower and connecting the Defense Magic Array to the continent couldn't spare time.

Therefore, there was no way to help Lor establish a Wizard Tower at the moment.

"You can determine the territory early on, right?"

Jerald grinned, "Finalize the territory first, assemble the team, and when the Wizard Tower is ready, just move in. It's the same thing."

"Alright, I'm not going to bicker with you. Just stay put here, you'll be released once the Abyssal War ends, and your Speaker seat won't be lost."

As he finished speaking, he didn't pay attention to Cody's excited expression and walked straight downstairs.

The legion meeting was still ongoing below; as the actual initiator of the meeting, it wasn't good to be absent for too long.

As for handling Cody, it was a unanimously made decision by all the Speakers prior to activating the combat ranking board.

The combat ranking board played a significant role on the frontline battlefield and also impacted the ground battlefield quite a bit.

Given these merits, plus Cody didn't go mad previously, restoring his Speaker seat made perfect sense.

...

Betula Continent, Cooper Wizard Tower, Fifty-seventh Floor.

"Whoosh--"

Lor's spiritual power, carrying a large amount of Space Origin, traversed through the mysterious channel linking the Origin Container and the Sea of Origin, returning from the Sea of Origin.

Upon reaching the Origin Container, he immediately released the restraints, allowing the Origin Container to absorb the Space Origin.

As threadlike strands of dark Origin blended into the Origin Container, they immediately began to riot, constantly pounding against the Origin Container.

Yet their assault was like an ant shaking a tree, not causing the slightest ripple.

"Buzz buzz--"

As the Origin Container quivered lightly, they instantly lost their vitality, resembling streams of water, slowly sinking to the bottom of the triangular structure.

"Six years, and I've filled one-fifth." Lor looked at the Power of Origin precipitating at the bottom of the Origin Container, feeling a sense of gratification.

With another twenty-four years, he would be able to attempt to condense an Elemental True Body, becoming a Fourth Ring Spatial Mage.

Condensing the Elemental True Body would either result in an immediate promotion to the Fourth Ring upon success or consume about one-tenth of the Power of Origin upon failure.

Other than that, there were no aftereffects.

The consumed Power of Origin could just be gathered again; as long as there was sufficient time, success was inevitable.

After inspecting the state of the Origin Container, Lor didn't hurry back into the Sea of Origin but used his spiritual power to leave the Sea of Consciousness, checking the continent communication device in his Space Ring.

Throughout these years, every time he returned from the Sea of Origin, he'd check the continent communication device and take the opportunity to collect the Magic Crystals stored by Kateya.

"Huh, Amy sent me a communication request three days ago?!"

When Lor saw the missed communication on the continent communication device, he was slightly surprised, "By the look of it, it indeed seems to be that critical point."

Amy's ability to send messages across continents indicated that the high-level energy interference in the Wizard World had dissipated, and the frontline battlefield had entered the second phase.

"With the frontline battlefield entering the second phase, Amy's main task should be to unify the legions and eliminate the low-ranked demons roaming over the Endless Sea, right?" pondered Lor, "What's the reason for her contacting me now?"

Curiously, he initiated a communication request to Amy.

A moment later, the communication connected, and a light screen appeared before Lor.

The person in the light screen wasn't Amy, as he expected, but the Fifth Ring Water Element Legislator, Jerald Hill.

"Greetings, Speaker Jerald." At once, Lor straightened up from the bed and saluted.

"No need for formalities, Legislator Lor."

On the opposite side of the light screen, Jerald waved his hand with a friendly tone, "On behalf of the Wizard Alliance, I thank you for your contributions."

While he was eager to ask when Lor would establish the Space Faction to look at Lor's witchcraft model,

some necessary formalities had to be observed first.

"This is my duty as a legislator of the Wizard Alliance." Lor replied solemnly.

Having not actually eaten pork but seeing pigs run, he was naturally adept at handling the formalities seamlessly.

"Hahaha, if there were more geniuses like Legislator Lor in the Wizard Alliance, the Abyssal Demons would have perished long ago." Jerald praised slyly.

"Hmm?" Lor raised an eyebrow, immediately shaking his head, "Speaker Jerald jests, I'm just an ordinary member of the Wizard Alliance, there are many wizards more talented than I."

With the formalities complete, Speaker Jerald's continued flattery was evidently unusual.

His allegiance was long bound with Yasen, did this person hope to poach talent fruitlessly?

With doubts in his mind, Lor began navigating the procedures of humility, decline, and evasion.

He had no intention of being a turncoat.

"Ordinary..." Jerald's mouth twitched, the question he was about to ask got stuck, leaving him speechless for a moment.

If Lor's talent were considered ordinary, then what would he be? Trash?

"Ahem ahem~"

At the same time, two melodious coughs echoed beside him, indicating that Lor's humility had surprised not just him.

Moments later, Jerald took a deep breath, looking at the innocent-faced Lor on the other side of the light screen, "Legislator Lor, while modesty is a virtue, being overly modest... is also inappropriate."

He intended to say that being overly modest is essentially harmful to others.

But respecting the dignity of his position as Speaker, he refrained from saying it outright.
