Transmigrated into the Most Hated Scum. My Wives are Plentiful!

Chapter 99: Trouble Tonight

Professor Panen directed his gaze to Hera.

"You were here yet all these happened? What use are you if you can't even do your job properly?" He scolded roughly.

Koul's attention left Lanice and went straight to Panen who scolded his wife in such a rough tone.

Then he glanced briefly at Hera whose head was dipped and quietly took the scoldings, further infuriating him.

Koul dragged his eyes back to the professor and zeroed on him coldly.

Marie flinched a little when she noticed Koul's cold eyes that pierced the professor who was too distracted by anger to notice.

She'd been following Koul's gaze since earlier so she noticed. But aside from her, Lanice also noticed this.

This created a series of questions in her mind. She wondered what connection was there between Koul and Hera for him to have acted out in the beginning and now, glaring coldly at the professor.

The thought of bashing professor Panen's head against the door didn't escape Koul's mind, of course. But even he knew that would be too much.

That would not only get him an expulsion but also put Hera in the spotlight more than she already was.

The veil covering their relationship would collapse and meet the public eyes, thereby ruining all their plans.

If at all he wanted to handle the professor, Koul decided he would in secret.

The professor turned to both Lanice and Koul.

"I understand that the two of you are responsible for this, yes?" He questioned for clarity.

Since he'd come in to see them at each other with their weapons drawn, he concluded they must've been the ones fighting and caused all the mess.

The other students averted their gazes, their faces heavy and streaked with cold sweats.

None of them wanted to be the tattle toad. Even the injured looked away, unwilling to speak up.

After all, it didn't matter who caused the commotion, everyone involved would get punished in one way or another.

And they knew they couldn't dump it all on Koul. Not after they'd seen the power his adoptive family held.

His origin aside, Koul was now equally a noble as they were, so they couldn't hope to use him as the scapegoat.

The fact that he wasn't truly punished for stealing one of the school treasures which they fully believe he did, proved this.

The professor summoned Koul and Lanice to the principal's office while he got the other students to carry the injured ones to the infirmary.

Inside the principal's office, Koul and Lanice were sat opposite her. The principal's gaze was straight with exasperation as she stared at Koul.

Her expression, if interpreted, clearly read, 'not you again.'

Koul simply averted his eyes, still evidently annoyed.

After professor Panen told the principal what happened, he stepped aside to let her handle it. The principal asked them both what the issue was but none of them answered.

Lanice could take the lead and recount everything as it happened, but she wanted to leave it to Koul.

She knew well enough that the other students were also wrong so she'd rather not complicate things for any of them since she was now included.

"If none of you are willing to tell, then I guess suspension is the only right punishment," the principal said.

"You even got your classmates injured, so it's only fair."

Her eyes darted to Lanice.

Lanice, after all, was well known. The principal knew she wasn't one to get into irrelevant trouble and if those students were injured in a commotion that she was involved in, then they probably deserved it.

But if they weren't going to tell her, she could only result to suspending them.

Suspension wasn't expulsion and would definitely end but it still upset Koul. He didn't want to get suspended while the other students attended class like they were in the right.

But still, he didn't want to involve the authorities.

"I'm sorry, principal," he said.

The principal's eyes spread wide in sheer disbelief. Lanice's gaze also snapped to Koul in shock.

Neither of them knew he could talk so softly and apologize.

Professor Panen, on the other hand, was clearly annoyed by this. He didn't want Koul getting out of this easily.

"Some things led to another and we succumbed to the heat of the moment. We are truly sorry. Please don't suspend us," he bowed his head.

While he talked and appeared quiet and polite, his mind was a storm of malicious plots.

Yes bitch! Don't suspend us and send us home. How would I protect my Hera? How would I handle those kids after they recover?

I also have to handle this hypocritical bitch beside me. If I'm suspended, how can I?!!

For a moment, only silence drifted through the office. The principal looked to Lanice for confirmation whether Koul was being honest.

Lanice also bowed her head, following Koul's lead.

"Indeed. We acted in the heat of the moment rather than carefully handling things. The students didn't suffer that big an injury either. So I plead that the principal be a little lenient with us."

She wasn't exactly being honest. While to some, the injury might not have appeared fatal, no one could know for sure.

The infirmary was yet to report on this so Lanice was only taking advantage of that to save their heads first.

The principal sighed aloud and fell back on her chair to rest. She was fed up already. She'd always been fed up with all the students in the academy.

Kids are never easy to raise, I tell you.

The academy hadn't even started half of its year, yet trouble had been relentlessly knocking on her door from all directions.

And if she was going to pardon them, it would be because she trusted Lanice's judgment. But she couldn't let them go scot-free just like that.

"Alright Lanice, I've heard all that you both said. But from tonight, join Reshan in his service work," she smiled.

Lanice's mouth nearly fell open in surprise.

Doesn't that mean I'm the only one being punished?

But the professor continued, easing her mind.

"And Reshan, your service work has been extended. Additional 1 week."

"Hmph!"

Koul didn't mind, he didn't really care. As long as he remained in school, it was okay.

"But I will hear from the injured students later and from there, I will decide if this is enough punishment."

Both Koul and Lanice bowed and exited the office, leaving professor Panen and the principal.

Outside, as they parted ways, Lanice spoke.

"I hope something that triggers this part of you happens again soon so we can get a chance to amuse ourselves," she smiled softly.

"Even you want that, don't you? Because you seemed awfully disappointed that we didn't get a chance."

Calmly, Koul turned.

"Soon?" He questioned. "I'm afraid that will be tonight."
