I'm Trying To Go Broke, So Why Do I Keep Getting Richer?!

Chapter 115: Illegitimate Son? The only way out!

Leo knew that he didn't have time. No matter how strong the Necropolis Ship was, it wasn't enough to outlast the bombardment of two similar level ships.

Moreover, the people that he had temporarily managed to distract, were going to return as well. He didn't have much time. He had to put his plan into motion right away, especially if wanted to survive.

He snapped his fingers, and a little gap was created in the barrier around the Necropolis Ship. From that gap, another person was teleported down from within the ship.

This time, it wasn't an empty box that was teleported inside the auction house to fool others. He had truly brought a person down that could help him.

To put his plan into motion, he needed strength. He shouldn't get that strength from just that sword, but who said he was alone in this?

"Since you created this mess, then let's solve it together!" Leo said, as a figure materialized before him.

The person was none other than the naive Prince of Necropolis, someone who was stronger than Blaze, not anywhere close to Selene and other Monarchs.

Still, Leo didn't care about that. He wasn't going after the Monarchs either.

"I will give you one opportunity. If you do well, I won't drag you back to your father. But if you fail, your vacation will come to an end. So will you listen to me, or will you be stubborn?" Leo asked, modifying his voice a little to make it sound more intense.

Kaelus looked at Leo weirdly. He didn't know anyone in Necropolis that had a physique like Leo. After all, there were only two people in Necropolis that weren't giants. It was him, and Reven. That's why the two of them even became friends in the first place.

"Are you a hidden heir that my father kept secret from me? Are you... my illegitimate brother?" Kaelus asked in shock.

Since Leo looked similar in size to him, and he was carrying his father's precious sword, that was the only conclusion his simple mind could come up with.

Leo slapped the back of Kaelus's head, and asked, "Do you have time to worry about that? If you don't do as I said, we'll both be captured and dragged back to Seraphim or Nephilim! So you know how father will thrash us later if that happens?"

Leo didn't outright deny the thought of Kaelus's mind, since it would help him follow authority if he was also seen as a noble.

"What do I have to do?!" Kaelus asked, his face turning serious, even though he was still trying to process the fact that he had an illegitimate sibling that his father didn't tell him about.

"Just follow me!" Leo aimed the sword downwards, creating a hole in the roof with ease.

He jumped through the hole, and Kaelus followed him. On the way down, Leo told him the plan, that was their only ticket out of here.

Once they landed inside the Auction House, Leo ran as fast as he could, while Kaelus easily chased after him, wondering why Leo was running so slow when they were in a hurry.

"Split up!" Suddenly Leo said, and Kaelus followed suit, taking a different path.

In that instant, the two of them took a different passage.

After a few seconds, Leo reached the VIP Room that was assigned to Selene. He was hoping, no, he was really praying that his assumptions weren't wrong. If there was even a little variable in his plan, he was screwed. After all, his plan had a codename. It was called Plan Timmy for a very good reason.

He suddenly pushed the door open, and stepped inside.

"You are here..." Behind his mask, Leo's lips crept up into a smile as he saw someone inside the room.

Lyra was inside the room. Just as he had guessed, even with such a commotion, she hadn't left the room, possibly following the instructions from elders that believed it to be Voldred's arrival.

As they thought it to be Voldred, they kept the kids farther, and what better place than their initial rooms?

There was only one problem. Lyra wasn't alone here. There was a young man, who was Valeroth's son.

He was another person that Leo had met in the Galactic Union, the flexer who arrived while standing atop the outer hull of the ship in empty space.

Amongst the two, Lyra was physically weaker, but overall, their strengths were quite comparable. So it was a question of who... Who was he going to kidnap since he could only take two?

This was precisely the reason he called it Plan Timmy, since in his eyes, kidnapping had become synonymous with Timmy at this point.

There was only one difference. Until now, they were on the receiving end of kidnapping. But now, they were going to kidnap others, taking his first step into the path of proper crime.

"You are that envoy!" Valeroth's son exclaimed, as he cracked his knuckles.

Even last time, he wanted to fight the Envoy. But he had missed that opportunity. But now, he was easily looking forward to it as he lunged forward.

"Wait, you're not my tar-" Leo tried speaking, even as he raised his sword to protect himself. After all, his target was Lyra, the person who was physically weak, and was already on his trail.

In his eyes, Selene was more compassionate. If he kidnapped her daughter, she was definitely not going to let any harm come to her. She would easily let him escape, and maybe even stop others.

The only problem was that this would make the relationship between the three houses even more tense, which Leo always wanted to avoid. But things had already escalated beyond that point when he was attacked without even doing anything.

Leo held the sword firmly. Since the man was coming for him, then he could only give it his all.

After all, even if his attack didn't hurt the people above, the young man was still a youngster right. He couldn't be as strong as them, right?

While Leo was thinking about it, he was inwardly praying that he would die in a single strike at least.

His sword made an arc as it swung towards the young man who attacked with his bare fist.

However, just as the two were about to clash, there was a loud rumble as the wall on the right broke, and a figure came flying, crashing straight into the young man, sending him flying into another wall.

"Ouch, that was painful." Kaelus pushed his body up, rubbing his shoulder. "Who did I hit? Tell me it wasn't you, brother?"
