....
Three days later~
An unfamiliar planet was surrounded by thousands of Warships. It was as if the planet was destined to be obliterated, yet none of the warships showed any movement.
There was no battle. The greatest war machines that the universe had seen, weren't here to fight. Instead, they were simply being used to escape the owners to this place.
It was the first time that something like this had happened. Guests have been arriving from far and wide. It didn't matter if they were the nobles of high planets, or warlords of ancient battlefields.
It didn't matter if they were from high planets, or even a lower planet, almost everyone had arrived on this planet. Even those who could've afford a private ship, had taken commercial ships to get to this place.
It was because today was an event that was held once every hundred years. It was the greatest auction of the universe, and the only opportunity where people could see the true overlords of the universe that were in attendance.
The current auction was even more special than the previous hundred year auctions. It was because there were rumors that guests from three Ancient Houses were about to make an appearance.
It was because the Auction House had released a very specific piece of news. In this auction, there was one particular item that everyone was looking for.
The Celestial Lotus was about to be auctioned. Most of the auction list was kept hidden, but this one name was released to increase hype for the event.
That's why, everyone believed that the three ancient houses were going to attend. At this point, it wasn't a secret from anyone that all three were looking for the Celestial Lotus.
It all started with a rumor that Viserl spread to hide his real interaction with Leo, not realising that everyone was going to take it so seriously.
Because of that one rumor about Necropolis wanting a Celestial Lotus badly, the value of the extinct Celestial Lotus had gone through the roof.
"I've attended many auctions, but the scale of this one truly feels incredible."
Amongst the guest was Fiona as well, representing Lionel Family. Every other time, she felt like she was the center of attention. But this time, she felt like a villager who was attending a grand celebration for the first time.
Even though she had worn the most expensive treasures of her family, they paled in comparison to what the other guests were wearing.
She was truly at the bottom of the hierarchy in this auction, which gave her an uncomfortable feeling.
On her way inside the auction house, her shoulder collided with a chubby woman who was covered in the rarest of jewels across the universe.
"Tch, do they even allow random beggars inside? Watch where you're going unless you want to die!"
The woman scoffed at Fiona, showing contempt in her eyes as she walked past her.
Fiona's expressions soured, as if she had swallowed a sour lemon. She even felt like she was being looked down on, which was a rare feeling for someone like her.
She silently walked inside, understanding that she wasn't in her space sector where she could do anything with a wave of her hand.
This place was called Space Sector 1, which was at the center of the universe, and the oldest space sector to become the main hub of the universe.
She kept her head down as she walked down the stairs, and was brought to a seat which looked quite cheap. Her seat was in the open, where she was grouped with hundreds of thousands of people, becoming a random face in the ground.
When she looked above, she could see a thousand or so windows that were connected to the private rooms of special guests.
Even after being so wealthy, Fiona wasn't even close to the level of being considered for a private room. She had never felt more poor than she did not, it was especially the case since her wealth had fallen even more in the last few weeks.
"Hey, where are you from?" She looked at the middle aged woman who was sitting next to her, getting to increase her circle to other wealthy people.
"Hmph." Unfortunately for her, the other woman simply scoffed, and refused to even acknowledge her presence.
Fiona's lips twitched, yet she didn't say anything. She simply crossed her arms and closed her eyes as she waited for the auction to start.
As more and more guests arrived, the place started filling up. Within hours, half the seats were filled, especially the ones in the open.
As for the guests in the private room, only a few had arrived.
For special guests that were assigned private rooms on their acknowledgement letter, they were allowed to use a different entrance that was more personal, which allowed them to enter without walking through 'commoners' of the universe.
"Are you certain that a Celestial Lotus is going to be auctioned today?"
A woman landed before the auction house, her beautiful wings gently flapping behind her. Next to her was a young girl, who had similar wings yet the number of her wings were lower.
"I'm certain. But mother, are you sure you should be here? I can handle the auction myself. You are the Ruler of Seraphim. It's beneath you to take part in such auctions," the young girl said, surprised that her mother had insisted on coming with her.
"You don't understand, do you? If that old man Voldred wants this thing, then it must be really important. No matter what, we can't let him take it."
"Just to be safe, I will be attending this auction as well. So if he tries anything, I can stop him. But if that happens, you must escape fast. Because I can't guarantee your safety if we fight, alright?"
"Mother... Is he really that dangerous?"
"Dangerous would be an understatement for that monster. Those who really know him, will never look down on him. That's why I'm certain the old man from Nephilm will also be attending in person."
"You mean the Monarch of Nephilim? Doesn't that mean that the Monarchs of Three Ancient Houses will be attending in person?"
The young girl was even more taken aback. Just how long has it been since the three monarchs had last seen each other?
