'Well, that's all for now. I will think of who to add after I have met them.'
He does have a few in mind, including heroines, and even villainesses.
But he will only do that after meeting them. Beauty isn't the factor here; every heroine is a beauty, even the villainess, so that is not an issue at all. He wants usefulness.
After that short plan, he slowly lifted his body up. He could feel sore all over his body as if he was being pressed by something invisible.
"I can't do it all in one go. Good thing, I don't have to."
With mana, it would have been easier and he would be done already, even if he only uses the mana to get over his fatigue.
However, he didn't need to do it all in one go. He can do it later after taking rest, alas he doesn't plan to.
If he can't do anything else, he can still run.
"Fuck, even my legs feel numb."
He was wobbling, his legs were shaking even while standing still.
In that moment, he really regretted never doing any physical exercise.
Yet, he still moved his feet and decided to go out for a little jogging.
His legs wobbled, shaking with each step, yet he continued, with persistence.
'This shit...'
He tried his best to maintain a normal expression on his face, cause no matter what, he can't lose his aura.
Walking out of the training hall, he did not show any sign of fatigue, even though he was covered in sweat.
He walked past all of the guards and maids, showing no emotion and reached the training ground where he had a duel yesterday.
Naturally, he was noticed by all the soldiers training there.
When they saw him, all of them stopped and stared at him. Before, they did not hold any form of respect for this man; it was only disgust, but now... they looked at him with new light.
But the thing was... they only looked at him. It was the first time he had ever come to the training ground, except for the duel yesterday, so all of them were stunned and confused as to what they should do. Should they bow and greet him?
They should, right?
Then one of the soldiers bowed his head and shouted, "Greetings, young duke."
Following his actions, all of them bowed their head and greeted him in unison.
"Don't mind me, everyone. Do your work." He brushed his hand, gesturing for them to get back to what they were doing.
He wasn't here to receive their greeting to begin with.
After he motioned them all to get back to their training, the head instructor's voice followed after Noah, "Get back to your training."
Saying that, he politely approached Noah and bowed his head, "I apologise for that, your highness."
"For what?" Noah asked back, skimming the brawly knight before him.
A middle-aged man, he was tall, but a bit shorter than Noah.
However...
He was huge, his body was like that of a giant, and with that heavy armour he wore, he was intimidating.
The knight widened his eyes for a second before answering him, "For the moment of hesitation, my lord. I will train them thoroughly, and won't let it happen again."
"For that? No need to worry, just do your job and train them well." He shrugged it off, not caring about that at all.
The knight instructor couldn't believe his eyes, was this even the same guy he knew before?
But he had enough sense not to ask something like that, so instead, "If I may ask, what brings you here, my lord?"
"Nothing much. I am only here to take a stroll."
The dukedom was huge; even this training ground was big enough to fit almost 10 football grounds in it.
But he did not need to run here, there was plenty of open land in this region, like the forest near the castle.
Nobody will be there to disturb him there.
He was about to walk away from there, when suddenly he thought of the forest.
'Forest? Ah... I remember. It was in that forest where my dear mc and my fiancée met.'
In the original plot, his fiancée was attacked by some bandits in the forest. While fighting them, the MC joins her, and both of them defeat those bandits.
A cliché plot, yeah, but it works, right?
A hero saves a beauty, and they fall in love.
That was actually the start of the doom for the original character of Noah.
His fiancée was the first one he lost, then his sister after the MC helped her during her bloodline going berserk and then his aunt, at the end of the academy arc.
After losing everything, he died pathetically.
'What a sorry state he was in during his end... I actually feel pity for myself.'
Well, that is what's supposed to happen, but why would he even let it happen now when he knows all the plot?
'The first obstacle for my mc... not meeting the heroine.'
He stopped his steps and looked at the Knight instructor and asked, "What's your name?"
"Wasker Ditrian, my lord." He responded politely.
'Wasker? Rather use a whisker. Who even came up with such a name?'
He looked closely at the knight, figuring out his realm.
'Mana heart stage, Low tier... not bad.'
His name might be ass, but his realm wasn't. He was a fairly strong knight.
'I should duel with him before I head out to the academy. I might be in the core formation realm, but the mana I have in me isn't normal at all.'
To use a spell or a skill, what you need is mana, not realm. Someone with enough mana can use high-tier spells, even if they are in a lower realm.
Duelling with someone in the Mana heart stage will be a proper test of his true strength. But he won't do it right away, he needs to have a better understanding of skills and spells first.
He did win against Noelle, but it wasn't because of his skills at all.
Noah placed his hand on Wasker's shoulder and said,
"Wasker, I have a job for you. But don't mention this to anyone. Do well, and I assure you, you will reach great heights in my reign. Are you willing?"
He asked, with an evil smirk on his face. No matter what he has in his mind, he for sure knows it won't work, but confirming a few things is always good.
Wasker looked at the man before him, and that smirk on his face terrified him for a reason.
'What kind of does he want me to do?'
He had no idea, but one thing was certain, it wasn't something good.
The thought he had about the devilish young lord, who might have changed, was crushed completely.
He was still that same... no he was even more evil than before.
Yet, he still nodded his head, "I am, my lord."
No matter what it was, he was willing to do it. He might be strong, but in the end, he was just a mere instructor.
If he can gain favours from the young lord before him, who was set to rule the dukedom in future... his future won't be limited to being a mere instructor anymore.
"Good. A well decision."
Noah patted his shoulder, maintaining that same devilish smile on his face.
"Then, listen. I want you to escort a lady to the academy. Take her to the academy within 5 days and then return."
'Hmm? That's all?'
He was expecting something devious, but that was all?
Well, it wasn't.
"What? You think that's a small task for you?" Noah asked, acting displeased with his expression.
"N-no, my lord."
"Don't worry, that's not all. I want you to act, take 3 men from your troupe. I want you to attack someone and if you can... even kill him."
That was his plan. He wasn't going to beat around the bush and let the MC develop. If he can kill him right now, then why even waste time?
Sadly enough, that's not possible. But yeah, trying won't hurt anyone, right?
Who knows? Maybe the MC can die in this world cause this is not the novel anymore.
Wasker was stunned for a moment, but he did not show his emotions.
'Now that is the young lord I know. But...'
"Forgive my rudeness, my lord. But may I ask who this lady is and who the man is that you wish to die?"
Noah gave him a knowing smile and casually responded.
"The lady you need to escort to the academy is... Niva Iceveil, my fiancée."
The mention of the Iceveil was enough to make him freeze in his spot.
It used to be a family on par with the dukedom, however, one incident and such a powerful household was wiped out in a single night.
