"I can see why the video is popular among women." Victoria exclaimed, having watched the whole documentary.
From beginning to end, Michael, who had the main role, was portrayed in a heroic way that lonely women would eat up with no questions asked. Certainly, the creator knew their targeted audience well.
"Though, aside from him, Ava, Richard, and Enzo were also there…" She muttered, crossing her arms.
"I am jealous? No, there is no way I am jealous! But… I kind of wish I was there when the documentary was filmed…" Heaving a sigh, Victoria decided to pay Michael's cafe a visit. Not only did she want to meet him, but apparently his family was there as well. It would be a great opportunity to become acquainted with them.
Though truthfully she felt awkward going there alone. That was why she invited Claire to come with her. Since the two shared many similarities, being members of high-standing factions and both being of the same realm, they had kept in touch the entire time.
Unsurprisingly, Claire agreed in a flash.
As Victoria prepared to depart, an individual appeared out of thin air.
"Where are you going?" This was Eliza, the Lord who had overseen Michael's family while he had been away, following orders from her King.
"I am thinking of going toward Venus. From what I have observed, it would be for the best if I could drive the aliens out of the planet, allowing you to focus on the asteroid belt." Victoria answered unfazed.
Eliza nodded calmly. "Reasonable judgment and the drive to fight so soon after coming back… Your grandfather will be pleased."
Victoria didn't show any reaction. If it had been the old her, she might have felt pride from the recognition, but now, she acted according to her own will. Whether or not her grandfather would approve of her actions was irrelevant.
"L—Lady Victoria!"
"We hope to see you again soon!"
"Please share your secrets! How did you become the youngest person in the faction's history to reach the Middle Grandmaster realm?"
A part of the personnel among the base swarmed Victoria with questions. Yet ignoring them all, she headed towards her destination.
'I hate bootlickers that try to do anything to appeal to one's ego.' She thought with a frown.
Fortunately, it didn't take more than a few days to reach the rumored cafe that had skyrocketed in popularity.
"Business is booming." Victoria nodded with a sly smile.
"It would seem that way." Claire sighed, feeling a little left out.
Ding!
"..."
The instant they entered the cafe, it seemed as if everybody collectively held their breath; stares of all kinds locked onto their figures.
Cold shivers ran down the spines of the knowledgeable cultivators acknowledging the power of the two women. Meanwhile, the ones that had no knowledge about cultivation were smitten by their faces and bodies that, in their eyes, were akin to a goddess.
After all, the more stages and realms a cultivator climbed, the more breathtaking they would become. A reality that Victoria and Claire still found hard to adjust to.
"What pretty ladies…" Scarlett muttered. Undoubtedly the two were the most striking people she had ever seen in real life.
"Victoria, Claire? What do I owe the pleasure?" Michael asked, surprised by their sudden appearance, but greeting them warmly nonetheless.
"!!!"
Bearing witness to the smiles that spread across Victoria's and Claire's faces the moment they noticed Michael caused Scarlett and Isabella to exchange knowing looks.
The next moment, Ava left her post and approached them, eager to catch up.
'Brother… How have you managed to…' Scarlett blinked several times in quick succession. It might have remained a secret to bystanders, but she didn't miss the glances that Victoria and Claire threw at her sibling. They gazed at him the same way Ava did.
"He has bagged not one, not two... but three?" Still in a daze, Scarlett glanced at her mother. They had discussed Ava in private and decided to encourage her to get closer to Michael, but what about now, with these two women appearing?
Isabella chuckled mischievously. "My boy… appears to be quite the ladies' man."
Usually the store wouldn't close until later, but Isabella, the owner, bent the rules a little and promptly sent the customers away. This had turned into a reunion of sorts, and there was no way she was going to miss the chance to get to know the two ladies!
"Pleasure meeting you." Victoria bowed respectfully.
"Michael has talked about you a lot." Claire added, making an acquaintance.
"Oh my, oh my…" Isabella said.
'What am I going to do? I can't stop grinning!' She thought inwardly, appearing calm on the outside.
Quickly recovering from her shock, Scarlett too introduced herself. Regardless of the situation, they had fought with Michael on the frontlines and had maybe even saved his life on a couple occasions.
"Please continue to take care of him." Scarlett said sincerely, winking at her brother.
Victoria giggled. "It's the opposite. I can't count how many times he has saved us all by now. We owe quite a lot to him."
"Is that so, dear?" Isabella began to ask for the details, her grin remaining in place.
At the same time, three people stopped before the cafe that now appeared calm with the customers long gone.
"Finally the witnesses have left. If we are going to make our stance, it will be now." A short man mumbled.
The woman next to him glanced at their employer.
"Just to make things clear, you have hired us two Early Grandmasters to scare them a little?"
Samuel nodded seriously. "Indeed, I am out of time. Today I will put pressure on Scarlett to submit to me. Should I fail today, I won't be able to try again for a long time with the rivalry between my siblings officially beginning."
The two Early Grandmasters didn't pry. They would be paid handsomely for taking care of the issue. Apparently the only thing that they had to be careful of was Michael, who was just a mere Master, meaning that the job had to be easy.
Without further ado, they entered the cafe, ready to scare the residents a little.
Ding!
Still in their little reunion, Michael, who had been busy chatting with his crew, halted, his eyes gaining a dangerous edge.
His teammates instantly noticed the vanishing of his warm demeanor, causing them to glare at the newcomers with the same terrifying intensity he did.
Before the two newcomers could utter a word, they noticed three Middle Grandmasters… Cultivators that were a whole stage beyond them. Not to mention Michael, who, despite being a simple Master, gave off killing intent superior to every other person in the room.
'What did we just walk into?' The two Grandmasters thought, starting to sweat.
