'If only I didn't listen to that idiot.' Cold sweat dripped down his face as he watched the massacre unfold before him.
He watched aghast, too scared to even breathe.
Limbs were sent flying in all directions, blood splattered everywhere.
A second? No, that seemed too much; no one even withstood him for up to that time.
After seeing him kill all the others so casually, he fell on his butt.
Too scared to even move.
Flee? Akhil moved like the wind... It made escape sound like a dream.
He had killed everyone, including their leader, and now, with his gaze on him, he didn't even think before his mouth opened.
"Please—"
"Where is he?" He felt a cold chill from that voice. His body stiffened and his pupils shrank, his entire body shivering uncontrollably.
Akhil walked up to him, grabbed him by the cuff of his shirt, and raised him up like a weightless feather.
His deep crimson gaze stared into the man's fear-filled eyes, burrowing into the depths of his terrified soul.
"Where is that bastard Samxon?!"
Cold sweat ran down the man's face as words were no longer able to form in his throat. "I... I... I—"
"Speak!" Akhil roared, the red in his eyes burning brighter.
"Sir Samxon is inside his office!" He shouted, his senses having crumbled from intense fear. He was scared out of his wits; nothing made sense anymore.
His body fell to the ground with a thud. "Take me to him," Akhil said bluntly as he turned to the building.
He wanted to heave a sigh, but as he felt Akhil's stare, he jolted up, taking the lead. They didn't make it two steps away from where they stood before the loud alarms blared through the entire building.
Several drones covered the sky, red pointers covering his entire body.
Coming out from the building with a calm gait was Samxon, a large grin spread thin across his face. Following right behind was Larry, who was timidly hiding behind his shadow.
Akhil shot a sharp glare at him, his pointed fangs peering out of his mouth in a low growl, making him look more menacing in his feral form.
"So tell me, what's the difference between you and any other beast now?" he asked with mocking laughter. "And here I thought you wanted peace with the humans—just see the mess you've done here."
Akhil paused in his tracks, bending his head low as he stared at his blood-stained body.
"This was what you wanted, right? You wanted to see me kill and slaughter?" He asked, slowly looking at all the soldiers he had killed.
"Maybe you're not wrong; there's no difference between orcs and beasts, and neither is there any difference between you and them either..." Akhil paused, slowly turning his gaze back to Samxon.
"...To be honest, I never enjoyed killing any of these people. Even the beasts I've killed so far, I felt guilty after that."
"But you? I'll enjoy every scream..."
The blood from all the dead soldiers rose into the air, and as though they had suddenly grown a mind of their own, they started moving straight toward Akhil, covering him in a thick cloud of blood.
His dark voice echoed through the cloud.
"...Every moment of pain."
"Every tear you shed."
"I'll savor every moment."
{Ding!}
{Blood Essence absorbed: mix of low-level and high-level +10000 blood essence}
{Level up!}
{Blood Essence: 12680/10000}
{Ding!}
{Enough Blood Essence for Evolution!}
{Does Host Wish to Evolve?}
'Yes.'
Akhil replied without a thought.
Just then, the cloud of blood that was slowly being absorbed into his body came to a halt.
The bloody mist curled around his body like a cloak, spreading down through the ground, moving quietly through the earth.
Samxon stared at the scene, his brows knitting together as he tried to see through the cloud of blood. He took a cautious step backward.
Tightening his fist as a drop of cold sweat ran down his face.
Larry quickly ran behind one of the pillars.
BOOM!
From the mist of blood, several blood spikes shot straight at the drones, destroying them in an instant.
In a cataclysmic display, several explosions happened in the air as each drone was destroyed. It looked like several fireworks going off at once.
And then, the cloud of blood finally parted, and a figure emerged from within.
His skin was white as snow, long black hair stopping right below his waistline, and deep red eyes. Red lines ran across his pale skin like living tattoos.
{Prime Genus Mosquito}
The mist of blood swirled around his hands, forming a thick red blade that brimmed with energy, and he slowly opened his eyes, locking gazes with Samxon.
At that moment, Samxon felt a primal feeling—something deep within him stirred. Was it instinct? He couldn't quite tell, but he felt like an ant standing before a giant.
Anger boiled within him.
"So what if you did a little makeup?! I have a named weapon! You can come be the first to test it!" Samxon roared as he smashed his two gauntlets together.
An intimidating aura burst from him as he dashed forward, bolts of lightning gathering around his hands.
With a wave of his hand, a powerful bolt of lightning shot straight at Akhil.
A powerful gust of wind shot through the air as Akhil moved in one quick, fluid motion.
He slashed at the bolt of lightning, sending it away.
BOOM!
A loud explosion echoed as the bolt of lightning struck the earth.
Samxon didn't stop. He constantly punched the air, sending out wave after wave of lightning.
Akhil didn't falter. He deflected each bolt with seamless ease, taking calm steps toward Samxon.
"You think this is it?! I'll show you the true might of a named weapon!" Samxon roared as he poured all his energy into it.
A low bellow echoed through the air, and the orbs embedded in the center of the gauntlets glowed brightly.
"I always wanted to kill you! Who knew you'd come to me yourself? Last time, you had the chance—you didn't take it! Today, I'll make sure only one leaves this place!" he roared as static charges gathered around the gauntlets, crackling with cold energy.
The clouds darkened and the air grew cold.
The entire world seemed to hold its breath as everyone looked toward the administrative building.
Samxon dashed forward, energy crackling around him. He leaped into the air at the last second.
Akhil raised his blade, and at the same time, several blood swords formed all around him.
{Skill Carnage's Bolt activated!}
A massive bolt of lightning, spanning almost 20 meters, descended.
{Skill Mosquito Bite activated}
A crimson array formed beneath Akhil's feet, the blood blades shining with intensity.
"Arrrghh!" they roared as their powers clashed.
BOOOOM!
