Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone

Chapter 293: Nether Blood Ore New Ability—Death Shock!

The collaboration between Fang Zhou, Olaf, and Tidamia was nothing short of perfect.

Olaf's rapid attacks, Tidamia's heavy sword slashes, and Fang Zhou's ferocious attack power—which far surpassed that of ordinary undead creatures—quickly cornered the two originally fierce zombie wolves.

The zombie wolves attempted to retaliate, but all their efforts proved futile in the face of Fang Zhou and his minions' relentless assault.

Soon, under the combined attack of Fang Zhou and his Skeleton Warriors, the two four-meter-long zombie wolves finally collapsed.

The Corpse Armor skill activated.

After absorbing the three zombie wolves and reducing them to dust, Fang Zhou waved his hand. He then led his ever-growing Skeleton Battle Group to surround the small hill.

By now, the zombie wolf pack that once dominated the small hill had dwindled, leaving only its four most powerful members: a Zombie Wolf Leader over five meters in length and three large zombie wolves, slightly smaller but still around four meters long.

Even to someone with Fang Zhou's cautious and conservative nature, it was clear his ever-growing Skeleton Battle Group was strong enough to face these last enemies head-on.

Yet Fang Zhou harbored an even greater fantasy in his heart. If possible, he hoped to tame that mighty Mutated Zombie Wolf Leader, making it a formidable force under his banner, or even a mount. Unfortunately, based on his previous experiences, this path seemed impassable. These mutated zombie wolves were not only difficult to tame but utterly uncontrollable. Even so, Fang Zhou was filled with curiosity about these rare mutated zombie wolves. He wanted to know why these seemingly ordinary Black Iron Middle Rank undead creatures possessed a Combat Power Coefficient that far exceeded that of ordinary Skeleton Warriors and zombies. What had caused them to mutate? And what exactly were the exposed blue and red ores on the hill they occupied?

With these questions in mind, Fang Zhou led his Skeleton Battle Group in a swift assault on the small hill.

GRRRRRR!

Atop the hill, the Zombie Wolf Leader—over five meters long—was the first to notice Fang Zhou's intrusion. It had been leisurely lying on the ground, greedily gnawing at the strange ores, but the appearance of intruders enraged it. Its massive body shot to its feet. Four sturdy legs supported its huge frame, and its scarlet eyes glinted with a fierce light. It let out a deafening roar, as if proclaiming its territory inviolable. The cry also summoned the other three large zombie wolves scattered across the hill.

Fang Zhou granted Olaf full command of the Skeleton Battle Group. Then, his own muscles bulged. In an instant, the stone wall beneath him exploded as his massive figure shattered the air with a boom, launching forward.

Heroic Charge!

Brutal Strike!

As the Corpse Long Spear was about to strike the Zombie Wolf Leader, the pressure in the air reached its peak.

With a thunderous BOOM, the Zombie Wolf Leader only had time to twist its head slightly aside, failing to completely evade the deadly strike.

Fang Zhou's long spear accurately struck its left forepaw. The mighty impact instantly obliterated the limb, turning it into a spray of blood and fragments. The strike not only crippled the Zombie Wolf Leader, but its momentum carried through. The spear's remaining force slammed into the mountain wall behind the beast, blasting out a massive crater. Countless shards of stone and dirt flew in all directions, and the entire mountain wall trembled violently as if struck by a small earthquake.

The severely injured Zombie Wolf Leader did not collapse. Instead, it grew even more frenzied, its eyes burning with rage as it let out a deep, trembling roar. As it roared, a gray energy began to gather within its mouth. The energy emitted a chilling aura that could make one's blood run cold.

The Zombie Wolf Leader glared at the imposing figure of Fang Zhou. Its eyes gleamed with ferocity as it opened its maw.

WHOOSH!

A gray pillar of energy spewed forth from its mouth. It flash-boiled the moisture in the air as it passed, creating a cloud of white vapor that almost instantly froze solid. From a distance, the attack looked like a gray pillar of light shrouded in thick fog, piercing through everything. In the blink of an eye, it had already shot past Fang Zhou.

Despite the bone-chilling cold emanating from the blast, Fang Zhou twisted his body. He moved like a black phantom, easily dodging the zombie wolf's energy breath.

Behind Fang Zhou, three Giant Shield Skeletons were too slow to evade the attack. They could only raise their giant shields in a futile attempt to block the Zombie Wolf Leader's energy assault. But their defense proved fragile before the immense power of the blast. In just a few seconds, the giant shields were corroded away, and the three skeletons behind them were reduced to bone fragments scattered on the ground.

However, their sacrifice bought the other Skeleton Warriors precious time to react.

Under Olaf's calm and precise command, the remaining Skeleton Servants dispersed, forming a loose formation as they charged toward the zombie wolf pack.

Fang Zhou was inwardly surprised. This was the first time—aside from Skeleton Archers—that he had witnessed a low-level undead creature use a ranged attack. What shocked him even more was the attack itself. The Zombie Wolf Leader's Death Energy Breath had a wide area of effect. Furthermore, its destructive power was far beyond what an ordinary Skeleton Archer's bone arrows could achieve; it was almost comparable to a high-level Magic spell.
