Foreign Land Reclamation By a Vegetable-growing Skeleton

Chapter 1480: Master of Stars Isn’t So Hard to Kill After All

When the Monarch saw Ange, Ange basically no longer needed intense battles. Even if there were hard confrontations, the Monarch took them all, leaving Ange with more abstract and taxing battles, like the war of attrition against the Ancient Godlight which lasted for decades.

The Monarch had rarely seen Ange's fierce full-force explosion, and now witnessing it, he couldn't help but be shocked.

Since encountering King Fei Lie, this void had birthed ten Masters of Stars, but there had been no casualties, not even injuries; the difficulty in killing Masters of Stars is evident.

The first Master of Stars lost in this void fell at Ange's hands; in this environment, his cervical vertebrae were broken, and he couldn't use Star Attraction to escape unless his companions retrieved his head, or he'd be doomed.

His companions obviously realized this, each struggling to break free from their opponents, charging towards Ange.

The Monarch didn't intercept his original opponent, letting him charge at Ange, but instead turned to blockade the opponents of Little Angel and Little Zombie, forming a scenario where the three blocked four opponents, leaving Ange one-on-one.

The same scene repeated, Ange faced the solitary opponent, pounced and embraced him, flipped him over, pinned him down, and furiously punched, smashing his opponent's neck, resulting in two kills.

Reasonable terrain, Masters of Stars don't seem very hard to kill, do they?

The Monarch and Little Angel exchanged a glance, immediately making way for the third skeleton.

With only four skeletons left, Ange didn't need to wait for them to arrive, directly rushing towards the third.

Within the Devouring Abyss, most energy-based methods were unusable, Star Attraction was practically nullified, and the ground was super hard, providing strong support to every force, making all attacks difficult to dissipate.

If it were in the void, even hitting a Star Skeleton would merely knock it around like a ball, unharmed, but here being pounced on meant falling onto the hard Abyss Core, leaving no room to escape.

Of course, this advantage applied to the opponent as well; it was just a matter of who could exploit it better, and zombies had an advantage over skeletons, and the zombie Ange transformed into had physical superiority, once caught, it was a sure death.

A round object slammed straight over like a cannonball from the chamber, its force so great that the Abyss Core's massive gravity couldn't bend its trajectory.

Ange shrank back, dodging the round object, only to realize afterwards that it was the head of a Star Zombie, held by the Star Zombie, who had finally arrived, demonstrating the speed of events happening at a lightning pace.

As Ange retreated from the strike, the remaining four skeletons also forced back their opponents, closing in on the headless Star Zombie.

Little Zombie made a flying pounce, embraced his opponent, and pressed him down to the ground.

The Star Skeleton struggled desperately, Little Zombie obviously lacked Ange's strength; when the opponent struggled he seemed unable to hold him down, it looked like what Ange could easily accomplish wasn't necessarily achievable by others, even a fellow zombie like Little Zombie.

Still, no matter what, the enemy was held, preventing an easy escape.

His companions attempted to return to aid, but were blocked by the Monarch and Little Angel, as Ange also charged up.

The opponent still had four skeletons, one headless zombie, outnumbering Ange's side, but Ange's side had two zombies, giving a slight advantage in quality, especially since Ange could transform into the Time-Space Ancient Dragon, furthering the advantage.

The environment of the Abyss Core magnified this advantage significantly, making it a key factor in determining victory.

Ange understood this principle, and so did the opponents; seeing their companion's struggle futile, the remaining three skeletons and the headless zombie flew upwards.

"They want to leave the Abyss Core and escape?" The Monarch shouted, rushing to chase them.

Unfortunately, the environment restricted the opponents as well as his side; the opponents fled first, making it difficult for the Monarch to catch up, as he couldn't use Star Attraction either.

Instead, Little Angel blasted a Star Flame Holy Light, but it caused no damage to them, instead propelling them further away.

Little Angel flapped her wings, trying to fly up and chase, but after ascending several meters, she gave up.

Under the immense pressure of the Devouring Abyss, she simply couldn't fly, these Skeleton Zombies didn't fly; they ran up by stepping on the void.

Unable to catch up, they reluctantly abandoned pursuit, turning back only to see Little Zombie tightly holding the remaining skeleton. Ange kicked the skeleton fiercely on the neck, knocking the skull off in three kicks.

Ange kicked the three skeleton heads next to the giant spider's head; the soul within the giant spider's head had already dissipated, but the souls within the skeleton heads hadn't, all staring directly at Ange.

Everyone gathered around; the Monarch detected something unusual as soon as he approached: "Such a dense soul aura."

While speaking, he searched around, quickly finding liquefied Soul Energy near and inside the giant spider's head. Ordinarily, dissipated souls would permeate the air, slowly converting into breath of death.

But here, the immense pressure prevented its dispersal; after the soul dissipated, the Soul Energy settled into ground depressions like puddles.

To drive such a gigantic Black Crystal Spider skeleton, the soul must not be weak, requiring a large Black Crystal Soul which when detonating, produces enough Soul Energy to burst the Monarch.

"Good stuff." The Monarch said, stepping into one of these 'water' puddles, causing Soul Energy to sprout into a steam 'flower', then seeped into his skeleton through his foot.

With such abundant Soul Energy, the Monarch surely couldn't absorb it all; Ange glanced at Little Zombie, who nodded and walked over to step into the puddle.

As for Ange and Little Angel, they both didn't need Soul Energy; Ange's Undead body was transformed out of necessity, incapable of absorbing or digesting it.

Seeing the three skulls still containing souls, Ange looked at Little Angel: "Oh!"

Little Angel nodded and pressed her palm, emitting a Star Flame onto one of the skeleton heads.

After it burned for a while, Little Angel retracted the Star Flame, Ange immediately stomped the skeleton head with his heel.

Boom! An earth-shaking sound, not surprisingly, the hardest bone—the skull—was undamaged.

Ange shook his head: "Oh!"

Little Angel nodded, placing her palms together, between her palms a large amount of red Lightning brewed. Once a lightning ball formed, Little Angel swung it onto the skeleton head.

The skeleton head was electrified until it smoked, Ange immediately stomped on its top, a crisp crackling sound echoing as the skeleton head caved in with a large pit.

Negris finally understood what Ange was doing: "Are you testing what causes the defense of Star Zombies to degrade? It's not the Star Flame, but the Lightning produced by Star Flame?"

Ange nodded.
